On July 14, 2014 at 14:04 hrs I and my family visited Shopper Drug Mart at SunRidge (M. Sadiq Phamarcy Ltd 0359) for shopping, after completing shopping; I reached at counter for payment. It was shocking to me when retailer scan the items the price appearing was not the same as mentioned at the rack. I mentioned that the price showing in the system is higher than the price tagged at the rack. On my request she call to a person for rechecking it at the rack, after physically checking the price at rack that person came to counter and informed her that the price at rack is $3.99 instead of $4.49, however, during this period other person who are in line start screaming that they have to go on work and demanded that another employee should be called for help, but she said the other person is on lunch. Now she started correcting the price on the charged price list as evidence attached the scan image of that original list in which price accuracy and adjustment is clearly showing. However, she printed out the final list after making amendments of the price, but she missed one item (underline item $4.49)). On my request she rechecked the list and told me that I have to come tomorrow (July 15, 2014) for reversal of one item that is unusual demand by the person who is entertaining me. This was quite shocking to me as I am residing at NE Saddlemont and only for one item I have to come back to SunRidge Shoppers for reversal. Mean while people standing there in queue started taunting me as they thought that I am doing this delay deliberately without knowing the facts, at this moment employee did not ask them for patience. Any how I move out from the store under depression and frustration as the way sale associate treated me in insulting manner and I felt humiliated in front of my family and other people who were standing in queue. While I was coming out from the store same sale associate told me not take trolley out from store, in response I told her that I was well aware of that and there’s no need to mention it, and told her that you should correct your system so that customer’s valuable time will be saved . She did not apologise to me as this situation was created due to negligence and irresponsible attitude of staff who did not update the price into the system. If I hadn’t checked the price and mentioned it to Shoppers staff, I would be paying more money than required. I believe this is an act of cheating/irresponsibility to the valued customers.
I am surprised that such a big chain of Mart at Canada is so un-organized and employees working there do not have enough training of how to deal with and respect the valued customer(s). The way sale associate treated me seemed as if she is giving me grocery free of cost.
After having said experience I must suggest that management should keep close eye on their policies and employees and their behaviours with precious customers so that Culture, Environment, Community and Commitment should be intact with the Core Brand Values of Big chain of Mart (Shopper).
A few core values of the shopper mark are quoted as under: that is quit impressive and reflect a good practice of the shopper mart but unfortunately in reality it is upside down.

Furthermore, I urge that matter should be properly investigated and Shopper management must give me CAN$10,000/- (Ten Thousand Canadian Dollar) as a compensation for humiliating me in front of my family and other people who were standing in queue or compensate me as per shopper drug mart policy to keep the best and good relation between shopper and their respected customers.
