Greed

Obtained auto insurance from Commerce West via "AIS" or auto insurance specialists. I had recently separated from the military as "Honorable" as well as with my OEF combat veteran status. Got insurance in December 2011, which was a 6 month policy. Come June 2012, they set me up for a 12 month policy term. I thought oh cool, some insurance security for 12 months. Like most Americans, I am on a month to month insurance plan. I paid for the months of June and July 2012 for my 1st 2 months of my new 12 month policy. I made those payments via debit card and I receive a notice saying my premium had jumped about 25 bucks. I was informed (after being given the run around by commerce and AIS) that it jumped because I made the last 2 payments via my debit card. Keep in mind I made all payments on time. They said that since my checking account was closed, I had to pay MORE! Never one late payment, and my fees increase. I had to eliminate my old checking account since that belonged to a bank that was great for military purposes, but not civilian purposes. So for those 2 payments, I had no checking account and I just used my new debit card until I was able to set up automatic payment from my new checking account. I call AIS and they say I'm ineligible because of "nonpayment" from my old checking account which was the military one, even though I made payments well before the amount due with my new check card from my new bank. WTF? I make payments early and am punished because it didn't come from a checking account? They receive payment anyway whether you pay by card, direct checking account, money order or cold hard cash. So I was upset about this unnecessary hike in my premium and I shopped around. Got a better rate with a notable company. I purchased the new policy on July 30th 2012. Now the same old bastards are claiming I owe them $164.00 from the month of August in which, I already had coverage from my new company. They claim it is for August 2012" in which they "covered" me but in reality, I was "not covered" by them but by my new insurance company. I have my new proof of insurance which shows I was covered for the period they (AIS/Commerce West) claim to have covered me. Of course I didn't pay AIS for August since I was already covered by my new insurance company. I even told AIS that I was going to drop Commerce West, but they failed to communicate any of that to commerce west. I will not pay a company when I was not under their coverage and they failed to cancel my new 12 month policy after I never elected or signed to have a 12 month extension. Unrelenting greed and utter disregard for the average everyday consumer is what America has come to. It's truly pathetic and I sincerely regret ever having defended the freedoms and ways of life for the great idea of "Democracy" when at the top are just egotistical and financial insurance/institutions who rule with an IRON wallet via threats to everyday consumers of "collections" and credit dings if you "fail" to pay what they say you owe them, even though you don"t "OWE" them crap. Truly sad. F- America and the stupid people who allow these financial institutions to do as they please. Deuces and Semper Fi.
