scam

I have been with Approval Warehouse since Nov., 2011. I landed a very nice account with 5 locations. I worked on getting this account for months. Believe me, folks: they do not deliver. I recommended my client not proceed. All of the training materials
suggest 6-8 days for merchant approval. 21 days later, no responses to support tickets, 4 days to get a call back... and I get an
answer about a document from the original paperwork we sent in. This should have been responded to immediately or at least within the 6-8 days ... not almost a month later. Figure it out folks: $39.95/mo. X 2, 000 so-called 'agents' = $80, 000/mo. I'm not so sure Approval Warehouse even intends to approve merchants and/or customers. Beware. This was a bad experience for me. I am an ethical businessperson and recommended my merchant not proceed. I would just like to find a solid, sound, legitimate way to make a living these days ... for all of us.

scam

A lot of these complaints about Approval Warehouse are from people who are interested in becoming agents. My experience was as a potential vendor and reflects the lack of quality and integrity of the organization.

I was solicited by one of their agents at a large home show, where we had a booth showing home improvement products and services. Soliciting is not allowed in the show for people without booths for obvious reasons, but the agents pitch was pretty interesting - one time flat fee of $395 for Same As Cash financing with no points. The going rate for 6 months is about 3 - 4%, so no fee is highly attractive. And we are actively looking for new financing options.

So I emailed the agent and expressed my interest. I also checked on-line on the complaint, scam and ripoff boards, and found a lot of disgruntled people. But I wanted to give them a chance so I asked for two things: 1) A history of the company and founders. This was not on their web site, which I found odd. 2) I watched a little slide show from one of the head guys, and it mentioned working with several of the top 20 home improvement companies in the country. I asked for references, thinking that a large company happy with the Approval Warehouse service would be more than happy to talk to another home improvement company. (We only work in a limited geographic area, so no threat to a national company.)

At first the agent wanted to know if I'd like to speak to the "branch manager"? I didn't think this would help much and really just wanted my simple questions answered. I answered to this effect, and this was my answer from the agent:

"I can answer your questions, however, choose not to work with you."

I thought this was astonishing response. We are not a large company, but on track to do ~ $3 million this year, and use SAC financing frequently. I am sure we would have been a decent sized account for them.

Sounds like a company with something to hide?
