Extremely Rude!

I do not bank at BofA, except to deposit our rent the past couple of months since we are new to AZ. Today, I went in with cash and the one teller that was working informed me I was not able to deposit cash. I left to purchase money orders and returned only to have to stand in line again of 12 people. Earlier I had stood in a line of 10 people. I began a conversation with another customer while waiting and asked her if it was common to only have one teller working. She and I were talking when the teller then loudly told me she didn't have to make my deposit if she didn't want to. I really don't know what she heard that caused her to say this as our conversation was about the amount of employees, other locations, and the other customer's place of employment. It was appalling to have someone speak to me like that! I continued waiting and once up to her window, I took one of her cards. She is the Financial Center Manager! Unbelievable! To be in a leadership position and to treat customers like that! If you can avoid the BofA branch at 198 N Alma School Rd in Chandler, AZ 85224, I highly recommend that! Other branches that are open nearest to this branch are: 1820 E Warner Rd, Tempe; 1961 W Baseline Rd, Mesa; 900 S Gilbert Rd, Gilbert; and 3881 S Gilbert Rd, Gilbert (this has a drive thru open!) From what other reviews/complaints I have read, this is definitely a bank to stay away from!

worst bank ever International wire dept

I have been a small business customer for years and have a couple of business accounts with BOA. Run, don't walk!!! they dont care about you being a Black owned business or a VET like they say they do. I have been trying to get my $9880 international wire transfer made to a vendor in Hong Kong since May 28. It is June 4th and they didnt receive their money and BOA has yet to send the money back to me so I can re-send with a SWIFT CODE. I called every day and the operator in the wire dept chats with an Investigator who traces it and tells me every day for the last 4 days that the case was escalated and the money was returned to my account but I have yet to see it. I askes to speak to a supervisor every day and to no avail, I have yet spoken to one. They do not care and I even called my local bank on Peachtree blvd in Suwanee and asked to speak to a branch manager and still have not received a call. I was told the Return team has not posted to my account and they do not understand why it has not been credited.

Bank fees, overdraft charges, and unauthorized transfers

My ex husband and I had four accounts with BOFA. One account had just my name on it and my other account had my name and my ex husband's name on it (I was the primary account holder on this account). My ex husband had one account with just his name on it, and one with both of our names on it (He was the primary account holder on this account). Due to Covid-19, and other situations beyond our control, we had not been able to visit a branch to remove each other from our accounts, and were told that we could not do that over the phone, or until our accounts were brought current. My ex husband received a counterfeit check, and he cashed it. Unfortunately, this incident caused his account to be overdrawn by $3150. As soon as this happened, my ex husband contacted BOFA, and made payment arrangements. He received weekly unemployment checks, and every penny of it has gone towards paying his negative balance. His account is now current. Someone at BOFA took it upon themselves, and without my permission, to transfer money from my account that only has my name on it, to my ex husband's account, twice. When we reached out to BOFA, we were told that they took money from my account because they were trying to lower the negative balance in my ex husband's account. I am NOT at all responsible for his debt, and should not be forcefully held accountable. The associates claimed to not know if I or my ex husband caused the overdraft of my ex husband's account. If you look at the counterfeit check, you will clearly see that the check was made out to HIM and HE signed it. After speaking with several different associates, they refused to reverse those transactions, or refund me my money. Their decision to transfer my money to my ex husband's account, left me without the ability to pay the expense that I intended to pay. After BOFA transferred money from my account, I did not have enough money to pay my cell phone bill. BOFA paid my bill, then charged me an overdraft fee of $35. I am EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED, and am requesting that the $37.43 and $11.42 be refunded to me, in addition to the bank fees and overdraft charge. Also, please be advised that BOFA has refunded bank fees and overdraft charges to my ex husband numerous times, but have refused to do so for me.

i deposited a payroll check in bank of america in augusta ga the teller my funds would be available the next morning 1/27/21 then i looked online account they moved my date to feb 4 2021 i had very important things to handle but i couldnt cause of the lies this is the second time this happen how i reach the ceo of the company

robbery fraud

attempt to file complaint to BRIAN MOYNIHAN five years gone BOA still illegally holds $54,102.01 THEY ILLEGALLY TOOK FROM ME December 14,2019 at the BOA on freedom drive Charlotte nc it all started on December 14 at First Citizens Bank on freedom Dr. One week prior to December 14,2019 I William Arthur Brown closed my fathers account at BOA on beatties ford rd plus the safety deposiit box then one week later I went to First Citizens bank on freedom dr charlotte nc to close that account which was $54,102.01 this bank said they didnt have enough money in the safe to cover the cashiers check. I William Arthur Brown told first citizens bank they could give me a cashiers check and I could take the check to BOA then i was told by first citizens bank to open up a new account at this bank, Ithen explained since i had a account at BOA ill just take the check to my bank and cash the check I preceeded to BOA and explained I wanted to cash a cashiers check i was power of. atty for my father Charles Allen Jones they told me they didnt have that type of money in the safe but would have the money delivered in two days i agreed not knowing they would cash the check as soon as I left the bank I came back in two days i was toldtheir had been a glitch with the computer and I could not get the check about threeweeks later i was told to send the death certificate and i could come pick up the cash i sent the bank a text copl of the check and when i went to pick up the money i was told that someone had told me a lie this has been going on since December 14,2019 not bank of america cashed the check now its in probate I was legally in charge of that money i walked a legal check to the bank of robbers and money was taken Everyone involved has blocked out their names the manager of the bank dissappearred now they tell me the money is in probate never telling me who robbed me

mortgage payment error

I submitted an extra payment for my mortgage in the amount of $50,000. 9/4/2020 The bank received the payment and applied payments on my account through 2022 instead a single payment toward the principle. Included on the check is are apply to principle only. In addition, i included a letter with the same instructions to apply the payment to the principle. After a total of 6 hours of wait time, As of today, 19 September the correction has not been made.

Bank of America

deposit 22 checks Tuesday August 11 total $7950.00, when I went on line to check my account it showed there was a 10 day hold on all the checks, I called customer service, they told me to go back to the bank and ask why, I call the pastors that wrote the checks, that was written to me to help me pay for my trip to Monrovia, all of them told me the checks were good.

I went to the bank today,waited to see a representative for 1 hour and 50 minutes, Ms Edith Pereira, sitting at EVA STEWART desk, told me there was nothing they can do that is the new rule, I have been banking with B of A when it was American Security, and Nation Bank, I have never been treated this way.

I have deposit many check in our account over the years, far more that the 20 checks this week and have never had a problem
I am Pastor of THE WAY OF THE CROSS CHURCH OF CHRIST INC, we bank at B of A. Capital One, Wells Fargo and Community bank and no other bank has ever done this to me.

I am really disappointed, I will have to cancel my trip.

Smith Chief/Thomak Montag/ Dean Athanasia have concocted plans to rob poor blacks who dont have the money to fight this power structure I been fighting since December 15,2015 I was power of attorney for my father Charles Allen Jones' December of 2015 I William Author Brown closed my dads account on beatties ford road he was sick at home before hospital, then I go to First Citizens Bank to close that account of $54,102.1 the manager tried to get me to open up my own account at their bank, I told her I needed the cash to do a few things for my dad so she said they didnt have that type money in that bank I could wait a few days and they would have the money, I said dont worry I will just take the check to my bank of america. December 14,2019 I came to bank of america to cash the cashiers check I just got from first citizens bank I spoke with the manager who told me it would a day or two to get the money find out later she could of sent me to W,T, Harris and North tryon and got the money the same day so i tell her Id be back to get the money I came back and was told something went wrong they kept the check illegally and still got my dad is dead he died a few days later I get a call of apology a few weeks later the tell me to send the bank the death certificate and the would have me come pick up the money this never happen trace the call on 704 3902813 see who call me to tell me that lie and who authorize me not to pick the money from the cashiers check by the the death certificate came december 23 2019 took my check december 14 2019 this policy of robbery was conspired by the heads of bank of anericas top shelf crew of Moynihan Donofrio Smith Montag Athanasia to rob and keep my money almost forgot the manager open up a new account for Charles I knew nothing about no2 you f..... up and tell me to wait on probate william brown 980465 9758 980 636 3266 [email protected] 2329 thornton ave charlotte nc

Baning? Customer Service

For the past two weeks I have been calling 1-800-432-1000 and getting various associates on the phone. I have talked with Texas, Nevada, California, South Carolina, West Virginia, Alabama, Arkansas, and one more time to Nevada. A check in the amount of $13085.50 was deposited at an ATM, because the banks in my area have no staffing due to COVID19 quarantine. The partial credit available was $2500 from the check. I went out and bought a lawn mower, as we were waiting for this check to post balance in the account with sufficient funds to make the purchase. After making the purchase BofA removed the funds from the account, and started charging NSF and overdraft fees to my account that was at a balance of -$2012.36 overdrawn. I called the 1st of many states and was informed that:

The check was being returned

A copy of the check was being sent back

The copy of the letter in my online account could be taken to BofA in another state, and they would redeposit the funds.

The check was lost

The check was destroyed

It was in the mail

It should be in my PO BOX

...and finally... after 13 days I am told it was not mailed at all, and that I should now contact the State of Ct to have them reissue the check.


I received no alert on my phone, no phone call or text, and was not afforded the opportunity to have the proper papers overnighted to me. I am on a disability, and have been offered nothing but grief, and stress from BofA along with a stream of misinformation from various phone operators in a multitude of states giving me the runaround. Now after one person tells me the check has been destroyed I am told by her manager that it will be mailed out. When I ask how they can mail it when it has been destroyed I am told that in 7 - 10 business days I will receive a "certified" copy of the check (hmmm... the check that was destroyed?). This is the service I receive after 19 years of being a customer at this bank. To whom should I turn? I have lodged the complaint in hopes that it can be resolved. How do you lose a $13,86.50 check after taking the funds from an account? I am now going to seek the advice of an attorney, along with filing a claim with the Banking Commission in Ct. I have nothing but time now, as I can't buy groceries, gas, or a cup of coffee because the bank has tied up these funds and has at this point charged me $105.00 in fees along with a $12.00 service fee to do this! I was told the fees will continue unless the account balance is resolved, but BofA has ensured that the fees will go on because they will not return this check! My next venture will be to inform the media, and perhaps be able to tell my story on TV. I am sure that BofA will be proud to have a disabled teacher tell the story of how they gave me a kick in the teeth. and refused to help me in this most dire time of need.

I called the Toll Free # on my credit card (800-421-2110) to try to stop a transaction I had made via my phone. I spoke with Braydon to request a stop payment on the transaction I just previously had made minutes earlier. Before I could give more explanation, he named the transaction as UnityPoint Health. He refused to cancel the transaction saying I'd have to wait a few days before it was a confirmed payment and then I'd need to call back in to cancel the transaction. "That's the point", I told him, I just wanted it cancelled before it went through. Oh, no, he couldn't do this. I could fill out a dispute request and then Bank of America would pursue it this way. I know how this works. I filed a compliant sometime back and after the complaint is filed the retailer has 30 days to respond. And every time I responded back, the retailer had another 30 days to respond and so on and so on. Since this is ass-backwards I kept insisting I just wanted it cancelled before it ever got processed. He was condescending and just kept giving me his canned response. Pretty soon I was just pissed over this and told him to cancel my card thinking this would stop the above mentioned transaction. Yep, no problem he'd cancel the card. I asked him if they'd lose a customer over this instead of cancelling a transaction. Evidently they do because he cancelled it. I then asked for his supervisor. After several minutes on hold he came back on the phone and said he transfer me to another group for the cancellation of the card. No, I repeated I wanted his supervisor. Another lengthy hold and Jessica came on the line. I explained my previous conversation and Braydon's condescension, but again, no problem, I can get that card cancelled for you. I then asked for her supervisor who she said was Clarissa but was in a meeting. So I asked for her supervisor who was Nicole, but don't you know it, SHE WAS ALSO IN A MEETING! I could see where this was going fast, so I said forget this game, I'll send a letter instead. The end result is I've cancelled my card, will go to DISCOVER or American Express. I'll also tell all of my friends this story tonight as I'm going to a big gathering at a restaurant tonight. Your card won't be used - I'll see to that.
Whoever is in charge of operations needs to go back to the mailroom or be escorted out of the building. The above mentioned people need to have a training session in customer service.
I've had to notify my payees and then get another card so the inconvenience is minimal on my side, however, annoying. The experience has left me incredibly angry, though, but it will pass. Your card won't be getting any payments from me.
Now do something about this.

I had blind loyalty to Bank of America and that was all on me. But Bank of America didn't have any loyalty to me. The minute that something went wrong Bank of America throw me underneath the bus. What happened to me is one day I went to check my account and found out that I owe Bank of America money. I had know ideal that the guy that I had worked for paid me with a counterfeit check. When I call and told the guy at Bank of America my story. He just told me that since I worked for the guy I can just go to him and ask him for the money to pay Bank of America back. So I called Back of America back and talk to someone else. I was told that It wasn't anything that Bank of America can do, because it was good faith check. I can't believe Bank of America just kicked me in the gut. All the years banking with Bank of America and the moment something happened to me.this is how Bank of America treats a loyalty customer. Now Bank of America is closing my account and treating me like criminal. The crime was committed to me not Bank of America. Bank Of America showed how much they don't care about people.

Poor customer service , disastifaction

I charged 8 tickets to my Bank America Card from the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad 8/2818 for a trip on Oct 7. I paid my bill in full on Oct. 12 (ck #1101) On Oct. 23 Cuyahoga issued me a $125 credit to my Credit Card. Because I wanted to return each individual's money of those 8 people I asked for a check to be issued to me by Bank of America at that time.

I was told that I would have to call back 3-5 business days and they would make a note on my account of my request, but I would have to call back and ask for them to issue that check. I called back 3 separate occasions to see if that transaction had posted, which I was told it did not. Each time explaining that I did not want a credit on my account but wanted the money I had already paid for that event to B of A to be returned to me. By my statement it posted the same day of the transaction 10/23. By the way, each time having to go through numerous prompts,(none of which applied to me) unbelievable waiting periods on hold.. up to two hours holding time. In total I have made 4 calls to resolve the problem. Acquiring different representatives from Texas, Utah, New York, etc.

I called again on 10/29 was told I was not getting the 125 dollars back, but 90 dollars because I had used my credit card.. I explained that I had called numerous times and told the representative that I wanted the money sent back to me that I HAD ALREADY PAID and was told it was noted. But was rudely told that I should have NOT SWIPED MY CREDIT CARD .... I commented that I should be able to pay my card how I see fit not you using my money I already paid in and was my money credited back to me. I also said that yes, I did use my card and was not told if I used it a check for the amount of 125 would not be sent in full but any charges incurred would be deducted.

These were 2 separate transactions and I believe I should have had the OPTION to pay my bill how I saw fit and not decided for me how this should have been done.

On Monday, Oct . 29th at approx 11 PM I spoke yet to another representative that said the ck of 90 was already posted and she would send the other 35 dollars in a separate check. Today, I received my bill, but NO CK, therefore I called in yet another time, transferred yet to representative #5 and was told now I am receiving a 50 dollar ck. From the initial call to today the amount has changed 3x's. I was told a complaint was being filed on my behalf 3 times on 3 separate occasions. I have done everything I knew to do on my end, but it appears that each representative had a different answer. This was a small charge not a large one. Also I have 10.99 dollars in points I would kindly request that added to my ck as I have earned it .. as I am also told until it gets to 20 dollars I can not use it .... again money that is mine but I have no say so over it.

I will go with another credit card that has less call waiting time, representatives that have all the same information and not a call center from all over the United Sates. I am truly sorry as well as frustrated beyond any words.

5 representatives 5 different responses, many phone hours... much wasted communication. I have been a good customer, always paid my bill in full and never late. I will not be using this card.. and as I was told ..by your Representative.." I should have not swiped my card if I wanted my 125 back". I will take his advice and will not be swiping my card and will find a CC company that values my promptness, values me as a customer and takes note of communication seriously.

debit card suspicious activity locked card

have tried the last 3 days to unlock my debit card (debit card Richard D. Lewis ending in 3433) talked to another cs yesterday
the card is still locked I have had several phone calls to BA and tried to get this problem fixed to no avail ...if you will pull my phone recordings 19-21. you will immediately be able to tell what is up....went thru this last year? now this year....I will immediately cancel
my accounts when I return to the states on the 18th of January 2018.
my phone number is 480 332 8264 I have 2 debit cards ending in 3433 and 7508. I have tried to contact both corporate and your CS today to no avail....again
you need to pull the recordings of my conversation and listen to them, I am very sick of this inability of your people to satisfy a customers complaints....my phone number will get in contact with me,,,,call me after you have listened to my concerns on the recording..

people don't want to learn how screwed up your system is,,,,,head in the sand scenario... in regards to your customers....

Fraud on account and bank won't release hold

As I type this filled with anger, I have been on HOLD and shifted between 3 departments who said it is the other department for OVER 3 HOURS LITERALLY AND I TOOK AND POSTED THE SCREEN SHOTS TO PROVE IT! I have never had such horrible customer service in dealing with any company, EVER. Check fraud was committed on my account over the weekend and I had them freeze the account until I could get to the bank today to close that account and open another. Went into the banking center and opened a new account but no one seems to know who will transfer my funds into the new account. Everyone says it is the other department to do it. Given 4 different telephone numbers and transferred around still with no resolve. I have been a customer since NATIONSBANK and you just lost me and anyone else who will read or listen to my story. Still on hold!!!!! Most ridiculous treatment ever to get MY MONEY. Trust, I will be closing both accounts. Attached are the screen shots to prove the length of the holds AS I AM STILL ON HOLD :(
