Unethical Business Practices

Still no sign of my firearm. It's been 6 days and my order still reads as "processing". Now I'm really getting worried.

Unethical Business Practices

I think I know what's going on...(this is purely hypothetical)

Bud's stock is hit and miss. They catalog a handgun based off of what their distributors have sent to them, sell it, and leave the listing on their website. Then, another customer comes in, purchases that same item, but it's not in stock. In fact, they may not even get that specific item again (hence, you get the "there was a computer error" excuse or flat out get the wrong firearm. All they need you to do is accept it through the FFL (I'm betting a great majority don't even open the case before accepting). I'm going to bet money that the long ship times are buyers waiting for the distributor to send an identical product to Buds which they can give you.

I did some research between Gunbroker.com, BBB of Kentucky, complaintsboard.com, and a few other resources and found that the "Computer Error" excuse is given out enough to be downright pathetic. I'm not going to give you the numbers, research it yourself. What baffles me is their IT department who is referenced many times throughout this forum sounds very second rate; thus I think they should flat out be eliminated from the argument completely. They aren't credible.

As a business attorney for the state of Kentucky, I have access to their company information. According to the Attorney General, "Budsgunshop.com in Lexington, KY is a private company categorized under Guns and Gunsmiths. Our records show it was established in 2007 and incorporated in Kentucky. Current estimates show this company has an annual revenue of less than $500, 000 and employs a staff of approximately 1 to 4." This information is available to the public by writing to the Attorney General of Kentucky.

As far as their numbers are claimed on the website or other business practices, the BBB only goes so far. I've made a purchase through their website myself on behalf of my law firm; documenting every instance of the experience. These practices will be sent along with their claimed customer numbers, any instances of revenue claim, and customer service to the Attorney General along with my personal notes and filing proceedings. In the state of Kentucky, any LLC (Limited Liability Company) making false claims of customer numbers, revenue, and profit/loss are held legally liable by the LLC Articles of Organization. You can find that information under Article 542 Section 1 of the Limited Liability guidelines set forth by the state of Kentucky.

In layman's terms, if my experience matches the claims of this website, I WILL be filing suit with the Attorney General. You can find more about our law firm at http://www.ackersonlegal.com/. We've been in service for over 10 years and have yet to lose a case. Rest assured, disgruntled customers. We will be shutting this LLC down if they fail to comply with Kentucky's Business Practices Compliance. This also includes "editing" customer complaints on their website; which constitutes as plagiarism and fraud. If proven (I have 24 well documented instances so far and counting), they could also face felony charges by the Federal Court of Kentucky.

My legal fees are 1, 399.90 per hour. They will be held legally responsible for any and all fees should I win in suit. They may also be required to satisfy a restitution to the customers who were wronged in their illegal practice.

I just bought a gun from them...wish I had read this first. Biting my nails hoping everything is well. The order has been "processing" for over 24 hours now and the funds were removed from my account. I hope my experience is one of the good ones.

Unethical Business Practices

I have recently purchased a gun from Buds. After 8 days of waiting for what they say is "funds to clear" via E Check - (I am thinking E-Check - instant funds transfer etc) not quite how it works and I really don't care at this point. But, tried to call several numbers - was hung up on by auto answering bandits a few times and finally called a sales number and figured they would answer to sell something. I was right but as soon as he found out I was a little irritated about no action from them he became, as described on many post, uncooperative and uncaring. Getting nowhere with him and not wanting to have a heart attack over the issue, I went on about my business and finally got an email today that my funds had cleared after 8 days (in this day and time- please electronically out of my bank account with routing numbers and the whole 10 yards). So now it is in shipping and it will be fun to see how long it will take to get it but I bet I won't get it before the end of next week which will make 15 days since ordering. (and of course I am guessing based on what others have said). Hey I believe in giving others a chance but they had theirs when the indifference came into my ears concerning my order which they seem to take for granted. I've always bought local to support my community and this is the first and last time I will buy from Buds. It is very strange though - I'm a Glock guy and have purchased parts and supplies from all over the internet and have had great success with everyone except Buds. Hummmmm! Fool me once shame on you - but after that forget it. Either treat me as a customer or you won't have me as one
