Unresolved billing

We had mitigated our Celcom line to Maxis last Dec 9, 2016 due to whenever we return from overseas job for more then a year our data were used up though we never utilize Celcom phone on roaming. No action taken or rectify on our complain.
We received a bill shortly after our Celcom line was transferred to Maxis. We paid thinking Celcom had closed our account up-to-date.
Unfortunately we had received three continous unresolved bill and worst a lawyer letter asking to pay over counter within 14 days. No Celcom personnel bother to respond to our letters.
Celcom bill is asking us to pay their bill from Dec 9, 2016 to Jan 8, 2017 whereby our line had been transferred to Maxis and we had paid Maxis bill lawfully.
