paying for internet they cannot provide

I have bee calling for a couple years complaining that my internet service is horrid and cannot use most of the time. After two years of different technicians coming out I was told that up the road and down the road have fiber optic but where I am it is like 100 year old aerial lines that need replaced and that there is nothing centurylink will do about it until they decide to replace those lines with fiber optic. They are taking my money every month for years for the highest internet speed they have available and cannot provide, more calls this weekend to complain and told that we can send out a technician that the main office can't even reach my router! I asked for some form of compensation to my bill for them not being able to provide what they are charging me for but got absolutely no where, they are the only available internet service available where I am located. Seems everyone before me and past me are fine, just my area

76 yo overcharged EVERY or every other month

I Have called FLORIDA CenturyLink for over two Years now monthly or bimonthly
after I started to check my Bill more carefully.
I am 76 yo. and have all the discounts they offer for the entire year...
EVERY or every other month there is an additional $ 10.00 ++ ADDED to my bill.
I have every communication recorded / Names / times / etc.
and have been on line at times over one hour + speaking to FAKE supervisors etc.
I am hopeful now that our local News Press will do an article on this corrupt system.

Bill goes up every month for the same service

My bill goes up every month, for the same service. For 4 months, I have had to call each month, and waste my time on hold, for them to give some lame excuse, about why the problem was not fixed the previous month. They fixed the bill again, and once again told me that my rate was locked in for a year {the same thing that they told me in the 3 previous phone calls). So let's see what next month brings. I did inform them, this time, that if the next months bill is not what they promised, then I will immediately file a complaint with the FCC, and the Better Business Bureau. When calling centurylink, it's a good idea, to always note the date and time you called, and get the name of every representative that you speak with, writing down a summary of what each representative tells you. Get the confirmation numbers, when dealing with Centurylink, (this is very important to have when dealing with them, as they will try to scam you any way that they can). Good Luck Folks, if you have to deal with these guys. They are not an honest bunch!
