Wrongful denied claim

My wife and I purchased a Choice Home Warranty(here after referred to as CHW), in June of 2015. We had just purchased a home, not sure of the upkeep and condition of the mechanicals of the home, we opted to get a five year coverage plan through CHW, total cost $2,475.

As you see their "no inspection required" advertisements you believe to trust they cover you and your investment...

Here is what our experience has been!

We had an issue with a Bosch dish washer, they sent a repair person that spent no more than five minutes in the house and left, saying everything was ok! Well, I'm not an expert with regard to dish washers, however, my simple understanding is that if dishes are dirtier after running it, there may be an issue?!?

So I phone them again, this time they send a different company. Diagnosing a non functioning pump motor, drain system, etc! I call CHW and express that I wish to cancel my policy. I am connected to their "retention" department, I am assured they are replacing the unit. A week later we indeed received a new dishwasher. Total time through this 5weeks!

Time passes... Our AC goes out!

I call on Friday, they schedule a company to come out. On Monday that company comes out...

The technician replaces the fan motor(covered). Then diagnosis that there is low to no R22, a leak in the coil, faulty defrost board, and calls CHW stating it requires replacement!

That claim was denied instantly! The technician then explained the cost of repair, that claim instantly denied!!!

The justification was rust! Now I have photos, there is NO rust! It is simple, CHW does not fulfill their end of the agreement.

We have replaced a hot water heater, washer and dryer, they still work and were covered, yet we replaced them.

Something stops working, we expect that to be covered.

Protect yourselves!!! I have called "Tracy"(contact before BBB review) three times and sent emails, no response!

So we have contacted a local attorney, they suggested an attorney in NJ(where CHW is headquartered) because after a 30 day written dispute we're force into arbitration in New Jersey!

So now we had to pay for a covered item, then I'm forced to fly to NJ to dispute and try to get fulfillment of insurance contract.

My opinion, avoid this company at all cost!
