Foreclosed house can not get information

To Whom It May Concern:
My name is Patricia Miller and I live in Waynesboro, Virginia. Approximately four days ago, my Son, his wife and I were looking for another property for sale in Stuart’s Draft, Virginia, when we took a wrong turn and ended up in front of 249 Rankin Lane, Stuarts Draft, and Virginia. HUD (case #: 541-545097). I would like to discuss purchasing this property with an authorized representative from CitiMortgage. According to the neighbors, the property has been sitting unoccupied for three to five years. From what I understand, the property was foreclosed on by CitiMortgage and purchased by HUD. The property was up for sale, until I believe, the inspection became an issue and the FHA did not approve the inspection for suspected health reasons (there are bacteria in the well so this may be the main problem). CitiMortgage purchased it from HUD and presently owns the property. I know this to be true because of the Deed and Tax information at the Augusta County Government Offices. Since the doublewide has been sitting closed up for so long and there is cat and dog feces and urine stains on the rugs, I would imagine the doublewide trailer is, at this time, uninhabitable. I have been trying now for four days to locate the person or department at CitiMortgage that can help me with my inquiry. I have spoken with at least fifty employees at CitiMortgage only to be forwarded on to other departments, even when I said I had spoken to that department at least twice. No one was interested in helping me, in fact, since I was not presently a customer I was treated rudely and passed on quickly. Not one person from any department made the slightest effort to assist me. If this is how CitiMortgage treats potential customers I am not sure I would want to be a customer. I do believe the employees were being truthful when they said they had no idea who would handle this situation but, not one of them tried to find any information relating to my question. I am aware CitiMortgage is a large corporation but it is the average citizens like me that formed the stepping stones. Even with these difficulties, my resolve is strong.
I understand the property is not on the market at this time but I would still like to speak with an informed representative from CitiMortgage. I am mainly interested in the land especially given the condition of the trailer which would probably need to be removed and destroyed. There is a lock box on the front door and the trailer has recently been winterized. I would appreciate being contacted by an authorized representative from CitiMortgage.

citi unethical policy

i tried for 18months for harp and modification and to no avail then in 2011 we were hit with hurricane irene with 78,000 dollars in damage i was told there was a program to make half payments for 6months then start getting back on track this was october 2011 and in february 2012 after making these payments i recieved a letter i was going to be foreclosed on.when i called and talked to a dozen uninformed citi employess i found out the program was cancelled in november and never notified. then i april of 2014 the fema and county and town wanted to buy out my home and i sent paper work over and over again contacted citi vp's and finance vp's and no one got back to me the buy out would of give me 20,0000 to move and citi would of got paid off on the first and most of the second and 8months later still no resolve and in foreclosure but i can do a short sale and i would not get the relocation funds this was the primary mission of citi. i would like to start a law suit against them.

Bad policies and system

The system of have citi bank on the claim check of check sent to homeowners for insurance claims is complete stupidity. Having to send this check which already took 2 weeks from date issued to arrive and i now have to send it to the third party property damages dept in Springfield ohio 45505 one assurant way that said if I over night it to them they will over night it back to me is B.S. I did that spent $15.00 to over night it and it took property damages dept 10 day to send it back fed ex over night. WTF. It's complete incompetence in procedure , whose in charge of instituting this policy the insurance company , or is it some mortgage banks that have made this mandatory to for insurance companies to add the mortgage company on the check just to accomplish what? As it in for their endorsement of the check is just plain stupid, it wastes time and money on part of the homeowner .

I wonder if there is grounds for all of you to ban together and bring a class action lawsuit. Strength in numbers and the squeaky wheel always gets the oil.

Loss Draft dept

As a contractor, and this being my first time dealing with CitiMortgage, I can tell you it will be the last. The insurance company paid the claim. Citi has been sitting on the money, and no work has been done on our end resulting in a pregnant woman and her family out of a house for the last three weeks while they keep saying the check is in the mail. I will not be doing any work until the money clears my bank account. I am very happy I made this choice after reading the comments on the site, and many other ones. Citi will not hang my company out to dry, and the first thing I will ask if the situation ever comes up again is? "Who is your Mortgage company?" If It's Citi, my company will walk, and Highly recommend if you are a contractor you do the same. Horrible company! Horrible people!

Loss Draft dept

I suffered a plumbing failure and subsequent flooding in my house in Florida while I was away on vacation. The insurance company promptly sent an adjuster and sent a check to me to cover the damages. Since CitiMortgage had the mortgage on the house I was required to endorse the check and send it to them to be placed in an escrow account. That was in early Oct. I was acting as the General Contractor and they released one third of the amount after a long delay caused by getting conflicting information from different people at CitiMortgage as to what forms were required. I have never known a business that requires 3 to 4 days from the receipt of a fax to acknowledgment that it has been received by the dept. that it was addressed to! Their policy dictates that as the repairs are made inspections are required to verify that the work is actually being done. My kitchen has now been inoperable for two weeks and is exposed to the attic, repairs have been made and it is now ready for the installation of the cabinets and the sub-contractors are anxious to be paid for the work so far. Nothing ever gets done at CitiMortgage in less than 3 to 5 business days. I felt an obligation to pay the sub contractors from my own checking account and am waiting once more to get another third of my money that they have been holding since early Oct. This company is totally mismanaged and it is no surprise that they get similar complaints from many others. Aside from that, the idiots in their trust dept just lost half of the money in a family trust they have had since 1927 and collected their fees every year for basically doing nothing except put our money in under performing funds sponsored by the bank. Nice going fellas. No wonder your stock is $6 bucks.

Loss Draft dept

Wow, Reading everyone else's comments on here don't make me rest too easy...
We had a fire back in August due to a lightning strike. Our home damage was over $107, 000.00. We had no problems with our insurance co. what so ever. I was a bit surprised to say the least.. But like everyone else on here, I had to sign the check over to citimortgage. I can understand there are people out there that would take the money and run, but that is NOT our case. Our contractors are getting upset that they can't get the money that is owed to them. I am so upset over the way Citimortgage does their clients that I would love nothing more to re-finance with another company, but we are not able at this time. We too, are over 80% done. Had our first inspection and all was well.. Sent in the receipts and invoices next day air and it took them 4 business days to process!!! REALLY?? I bet if there was a check in that envelope they would have had it deposited in their escrow acct.. earning interest!! They tell me first that I don't have the proper waiver of leans, then tell me that, that was a mistake and the invoices were kicked out!!
COME ON!! Can you not read what is on there????? I am so frustrated with these con-artists I could just cream, but what good would that do.
Citimortgage, you are lacking in so many ways. You need to make it a little easier for the people already in distress.. There is no reason to doubt the people who are proving by inspection that the repairs are being made. It takes more than a 1/3 of your release to get to 50%. That not every american can afford to pay for the repairs themselves before the money is released!! Can't you make some changes for YOUR clients??? Come on. What if it was YOU???
