I brought some prawns in this Coles. Staff Jen showed very bad attitude and very poor services. She laughed at my English skill because the word I used was not the one that local resident does not normally use. I requested to have 6 pieces of Prawns. She said she could not help as her hand did not have enough size to hold 6 once. I am so upset that there is such a staff in thus a big, reputational supermarket.

This is the second time in 2 years that I have personally witnessed junior staff being bullied by so-called managers. The first time was at the new Aldi store in Wentworthville when a supposed "manager" was addressing a junior staff member about store issues. This was done in full view of customers and was very humiliating for the junior staff member. If there is any issue to be raised with a member of staff it should be done privately so that it doesn't cause embarrassment to the worker or customers. I complained about this incident and I have not seen that particular store "manager" since. When I witnessed the same scenario in Coles, Parramatta/Westfield, I was horrified once again. Here was the store "manager"
reprimanding a junior staff member in full view and earshot of customers. Two things came to mind:- 1. where on earth did he receive management training?, and 2. if this is the disrespectful way he treats his staff, then what is his true attitude towards his customers? I'm aware that everyone these days is overworked and underpaid, but that's simply no excuse for bullying. On a positive note, the manager at Coles, Stockland Mall, Merrylands, seems to know what he is doing, and in my experience has always been polite and respectful towards staff members.

I have a feeling this never happened and this manager fired you so you are trying to get him fired.

I got called over to a register from a woman, who was clearly rude, she told me to put back the closed sign, then had the nerve to ask if everything was ok, i said "fine" and i asked how she was? and are you sure.

i just find her whole agreesive manner rude and her behavior showed she was clearly not well.
I wish to let others know that if someone is rude no matter how small, to report it

Well you have on right to take a closed sign off the register. That was rude of you. Where were your parents when you did this. Clearly anyone over the age of five would not do something like this. Also was she really rude, or are you claiming this because she made you follow the sign and not get your way.

There is always lack of staff so if there is two people with a large shop u have to wait ages or self serve. Then the staff is so rude and it is just a joke. the self serve there is most of the time some not working and they are all full to.

Looks like the education system in Australia sucks if this review was actually written by an adult.

I shop at this Coles almost every week. Several weeks ago I noticed I was being followed by a staff member as I was checking my shopping list on my phone. Thought nothing of it at first until I reached the check out and the young man gestured "huh?" to a person behind me ( obviously indicating to check my bag, I found out as I turned). I let them check my bag but was not happy at being targeted. Just today I noticed the same thing, this time the supervisor was waiting a little near the entrance watching me and the whole process. I am feeling very harrassed at these people assuming I am a thief (I am an experienced teacher who definitely does not look like a criminal). Any ideas apart from never shopping there?
