I just got the same letter in the mail today 9/26/12..... I pretty much knew almost immediately that it was a scam when I noticed that it was sent from Canada, the c.c.l. Is in ''Hornell NY, & the bank is in MD! Seriously do these people not have anything better to do with their lives? If you need money go get a job like the rest of us have to do! Don't steal our hard earned money, go make your own!

Fake Check

I have received a check from Global Logistics & Transportion (it is not the first fake check I have received) and of course had to waste time to research to see if it was valid or not. Thanks to this webpage I realized once again it is fake. The amount is for $2550.00 and of course they wanted $1500.00 in taxes. It states it is from major companies such as Wal-mart, Best Buy, Lowes, yada yada yada that give customers compensation.

First off, how the heck do these companies know my full name and address and it is from Canada? I am extremely tired of these stupid fraudulent checks and potential risks to people. When is it going to end? Even the heat sensitive lock doesn't work! Haha!

So beware people that get checks with money, do some research and make sure it is valid or you will be financial screwed while whomever is creating this fraud is walking with lots of money. Karma is a beeach and they will be swimming in their own funk so they think they can enjoy the superficial point of existance (money) but in the end when all is said and done they will live with some horrible karma.

Fake checks 2

I could cut and paste "mannythe frexican" s post. The only difference is the phone number (1-289-892-2606). My check is from Glabal LOGISTICS & TRANSPORTATION off a Bank of Illinois in Springfield, IL 62701.
Guess I'll deliver it back to the USPS.
THANKS to those that posted.

Fake checks

Between all these complaints I reluctantly had to add my check to the stroy...I was one of 50 winners and won $22,500! The check was $2,550.00 all I had to do was to pay $1,500.00 towards taxes. I had to call and to speak with a guy named Mr. Ray Mantell prior attempting to cash check at 1-647-994-0102. The "Award Claim Final Notification" letter also name the major stores that were apart of lottery; Best-Buy, Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot, Zellers, Staples, Ikea, Master CArd, Amex, CVS, JC PENNY. Doreen Hawkins is the Promotion Manager. The top left corner on the letter reads C.C.L.

2011 Customer Compensation Lottery Draw

I just received same check and letter yesterday on3/26/2012 in South Carolina, so they are still up to the scam. Personally I think its one of the meanest things you could do people in such s hurting economy. It gets their hopes up but then they slowly come to their senses and realize something is not adding up, But the elderly may not figure it out so fast and I am really worried about them The check looks so real. I took the check to my bank and they told me was a scam and I took it to Kmart store manager. He looked at it and said they were not participating in any kind of lottery put also said that he had never seen one look so real before, Seems likes these America business would have some legal recourse for them using their names or even implying their names in such an unethically scam. Furthermore I agree with the last post "why" and "how" are our American mailing addresses even getting into the hands of these foreign scamming parasites? That is a violation of my privacy. If they are crazy and mean enough to send us this stuff...what's next? I think we need to be very cautions in opening any mail anymore, specifically form people or business we don;t recongize. I am sorry this has happened to all of us and God himself will have justice upon there heads soon enough.
