They never want to accept the $25 coupons. They always put different price. Also you want to return something they refuse to return your money back

Today i went to go buy some products and when i went to go check out they said that the price of the product was more then it was advertise in their store. So, after i check out i wanted to use my $5 coupon on Saturday, the manager said that i couldn't return the stuff back because i used my card. Also, this has happened so many times to me. I'm tired of this because they put their own prices. Another thing, when i want to buy with my card, when they scan it they say that i have to buy it no mater what because they scanned it .They put things on sale but and when you check out they say no that the sale was over but they still have the for sale sign still. I WANT TO MAKE YJIS COMMPLAINT BECASUSE I AN TIERD OFF THEM TAKEING ADVANTAGE OF ALL THE PEOPLE OF EARLIMART .97 9

corporate tax break

under-staffing-mistreatment of management. Shame on you Dollar General. Where are your tax breaks going or in whose pocket. Even corporate tyrant, Walmart, raised their minimum wage, but you are the most understaffed and employee unfriendly establishment I have encountered. My husband, a victim of the retail industry downfall, started with you several months ago. He personally turned a barren wasteland of a store into one that he receives customer compliments on, on a daily basis. He went three months without taking a day off. He inherited two assistants who he had to let go, one for theft and one for job abandonment. He has been thwarted in his attempts to hire reliable help by minimum wage policies. Those that are hired show up when they please, therefore requiring him to cover for them, often working opening to closing, never having more then one and rarely two employees in the store at one time. Can you really expect " Dedication to the job " for 8.35 an hour. His reward for working himself into an early grave is being constantly berated by a clueless regional manager who has been with your company barely longer than him.

I doubt letters to our representatives locally and in congress and the senate will have any effect, but it is a step, the only step, I can think of to help prevent a sixty year old man from killing himself, both from worry and overwork, as well as others like him. WHERE IS YOUR TAX BREAK GOING? It is not going to salaried employees bein g paid for forty-five hours but working seventy. It is not going to minimum wage employees going through a revolving door. WHERE IS IT GOING?

Manager

Someone needs to know and understand how the Manager of the Waddington Dollar General, Chris Warnock, treats her employees. You think the District Manager Becky would get the hint with such a high turnover of employees but NOOO she thinks Chris is just wonderful.
Chris belittles her employees, yells at them, leaves childish notes every day, is write-up happy - when half the time, she does the same but she doesn't get wrote up! Chris gives everyone time limits to do stuff - even to go to the bathroom! She wants things done in under 1 minute, or 10 minutes, or 1 hour - which is almost impossible. You are everywhere in the store and cannot meet and greet the customers, when they are ready to check out, they usually come and find a cashier - instead of the cashier being up front, greeting and there for the customers.
Customers have came in the store and have heard her yelling and swearing at employees. Some customers say they will not go back until she is gone. Corporate needs to talk to the employees under her, the assistant manager and the key holders - get their opinion, not Becky's and definitely not Chris's - Chris thinks she is the best manager but she is the worst!!
How many people have worked there within a year???
Do the numbers, just look at the whole picture. Ask customers their opinions!
Chris needs to learn how to be a manager, how to treat and respect her employees. She is no better and no different then anyone else.

Dirty stores

The stores in my area are some of the nasties stores when I ask the clerk she says that the hours and help has been cut so bad that they don't have time to do their jobs my question is why would you let your stores go like this Walmart sure looks good I won't be shopping your stores the help and stores are to nasty for me and my family

I can go in multiple times a day and asked to donate. The there is not a donation box. Do they put the money in their pocket. It seems as pure harassment.

Dollar General store

I have been treated like trash at the store in Kerrville texas.by Bobby and joelen they would not take my coupon ..yelled at me in front of customers call me a coupon thief and the people behide me to call and report the workers I'm a reg customer with y'all I'm scared to even go in there now cause the were so rud and ungly to me so now I quit going cause I feel like they are going to yall,at me now so i,started going to the 1 in Ingram and the same thing happens there to me they refuse to take my coupon and told me to leave what am I to,so now I'm a Christian lady me and my sister we are 56 and 50 and we been called wetbacks and the laugh at us saying we the boss we know who can come in our store what can you'll,do about that im,going to start recording everything cause it's not right what they are doing the girls from Ingram are 2 of morning working they are so rud and ungly to there customer we have call and complain and others customer have call also and noting is been done please help,in this is our store where we love to shop now we can't even go in there now what can be done thank you for your time to read my letter I'm going to started vidio everything this people are doing and send to y all so y'all. Can out a stop to this it's not right what they are doing I'll send you pictures of your employees that are so rud and told us to leave with our coupons thank again for your understanding Debbie

MORTIFIED

I WOULD LIKE THIS MESSAGE SENT TO THE CORPORATE OFFICE. AS IF I HADN'T HAD A BAD ENOUGH DAY YESTERDAY, WITH MY RECENT BANKRUPTCY AND WITH MY KIDNEYS FAILING DAY BY DAY, WHICH I CAN'T TAKE ANY TIME OFF WORK RIGHT NOW, AND THEN FINDING OUT I HAVE NO MONEY FOR CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR MY KIDS, WHAT HAPPENED TO ME AND MY CHILD IN YOUR STORE IN JACKSON, MICHIGAN ON PARNALL ROAD, WAS BY FAR, THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE EVER. I FREQUENT THIS STORE AND IT USED TO BE MY FAVORITE ONE STOP SHOP. BUT YESTERDAY, MY 16 YEAR OLD SON AND I CAME IN AND HE WENT HIS WAY TO LOOK AT THINGS WHILE I GOT THE GROCERIES AND CLEANING SUPPLIES I NEEDED. AS I APPROACHED THE FRONT OF THE STORE I HEARD THE TWO GENTLEMEN THAT WERE WORKING HAVING A CONVERSATION ABOUT CRAZY THINGS THAT KIDS SAY AND ONE OF THEM SAID A KID CAME IN AND SAID THEY THOUGHT HE WAS A GIRL, LAUGHING AND LOOKING AT ME, I SAID "YES, KIDS ARE FUNNY, MY SON MENTIONED THAT A LADY AT THE DOCTORS OFFICE WAS FAT WHEN HE WAS 3 AND IT EMBARRASSED ME SO BAD", THEY LAUGHED AND I CARRIED ON TOWARD THEM TO CHECK OUT. AS I APPROACHED THE COUNTER AND LOOKED AROUND FOR MY SON, THE OTHER GUY LOUD AND CLEARLY SAYS "YEA, THE OTHER DAY I TOOK MY KIDS TO THE STORE AND TWO BLACK GUYS (HE ACCENTUATED THE BLACK) WALKED BY AND THEY YELLED MONKEYS!!" AND THEY BOTH LAUGHED HYSTERICALLY. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? WITH ALL THAT IS GOING ON IN THIS WORLD RIGHT NOW, MAYBE THAT WASN'T THE BEST STORY TO TELL, ESPECIALLY SINCE MY VERY IMPRESSIONABLE 16-YEAR-OLD HALF BLACK SON WAS STANDING IN THE CANDY ISLE AND HEARD IT ALL. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THIS! I WANT SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THIS OR IM GOING TO THE NEWS. THIS ISNT THE FIRST TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN THE COMMUNITY THAT WE LIVE IN AND IM TIRED OF IT!!

dollar general

On 11/6 at 2:30 we were at DG in yerington #13997 and there was at least 7 people in line and only one cashier ( Dale) and 3 people walked out do to long line and the cashier was very polite and handled herself well, I need to report that while cashier was waiting on us that we asked if she had help, but then we saw dede (manager) and Cody standing at entrance having a cigarette!! This was unfair to cashier (Dale) and I felt she should know 3 people walked out. I said it loud enough where as we left dede came to us and apologized because she said she was in restroom but yet they still did not go in and help cashier, they stood right there smoking!! Poor service with people walking out. Mr and Mrs Hall

Dirty store , manager always getting on to the cashier

The store is DIRTY , I worked as Part Time Cashier & was always got on to about my cash drawer being short , told Manager " I DO NOT STEAL " , was told again to watch my count , will one day I counted my drawer & it was short $ 30.00 . So who's fault is that , not mine . Anyway I lost my job . NOT ENOUGH PAY TO WORK THE WAY WAS TOLD WHAT WAS TO BE DONE < SORRY COMPANY TO WORK FOR . Register system needs to be updated , That's the problem

Rude Store Manager

Store #06449 Alex was very rude to me on 3/21/15. She said she was the store manager. The cashier had a problem getting a coupon to go through and called Alex for an override and Alex didn't acknowledge me, didn't apologize, didn't fix the problem, just murmured under her breath something bad about me and said it won't go through. While this was the only registar open and customers were lined up behind me times 10. I told her to take the item off my ticket and I would purchase it elsewhere, which I did and the coupon was used at another store. They also kept my change and put it in a "Literacy " box , which I have a strong suspicion that this money will fund the employees cigarette habit, as everytime you drive into the parking lot, there are employees standing in front of the store smoking cigarettes and hanging out. Terrible customer service and I will not be back in that store!

literacy fund

First, this store had a big fat slob named Ben, who chainsmoked outside and was hostile, arrogant and rude. he's gone so I thought all would be well. I noticed yesterday a charge of five bucks to literacy fund which I never ever approved. I called and I got some ghetto rat with an attitude who said they have no control over that. I expected her to get a manager, or offer to make good, nope. just was her typical ghetto self. I called american express and got the five bucks back. I'm guessing there is no literacy fund and this stole is ripping off people. and there is a special place in hell

Why the hell date of birth for purchasing movie

I wanted to purchase a G rated movie I remember seeing in the early 70s. I got to the counter & first thing I was asked for was my date of birth. For a movie?! That's damned ridiculous. I was asked for d.o.b. months ago at another for cough syrup because there are moronic jack-asses that use it for making meth & I think I was stereotyped. That will upset me but not in a crying way if that was the case. What does it matter if one is over 21 or not, any age can get into trouble & anybody can say their getting medicines for wellness whether it's true or false. You don't know & it's none of your damned business if you mean to pry into peoples personal lives. Anyway, d.o.b. to purchase a movie, what's up with that. I didn't get any kind of explanation but him telling me it's some rules or other b.s. Needless to say, I didn't purchase it because I feel it might be some way to pry a little into peoples personal lives as silly as that may sound. Other's would give it right way without thinking or questioning. If something doesn't make sense, I question it. If asking for d.o.b.s for this, that & the other keep up, selling items are most likely to drop & quick. Thank you for taking complaint, I never had with D.G. before up until now. mng and cashier

it stopped at store #01239 potosi,mo. friday evening aug 22,2014 around 8:15pm while i was working to pick up a few things. i walked in there were no cust. in the store except me, if took about 5 min. when i came up to the reg. there was a blue dog squeeky toy on the conv. belt with a note to sqeeze this to get their attention. i kinda giggled to myself, so i squeezed the toy. the mng and cashier were both there and made no move to wait on me, the mnr said "she squeezed the dog" the cashier said "i know" and proceeded sweeping the floor, taking her good ole time coming to wait on me. i had found 2 lamp shades in the MESS ALL YOUR STORES CALL CLEARANCE, and asked her to scan these to see how much they were, she said"THEY'RE $5 I SAID NO THEY'RE NOt I GOT THEM FROM CLEARANCE HER, "OH" They are $4.50 i was waiting a sec to see if i wanted them and she says"well, do you want them" i said yes i want them. i did'nt like the way she threw them in the bag so i snatched them off the bag carosel she starts ringing my stuff and slings the carosel so hard my bag landed in the floor. I said oh really, now your going to come around here and pick that up cause i sure as hell won't. she said "I did'nt do it on purpose ' i said yes you did. meanwhile the mgr did'nt say one word. so i said excuse me are you the mgr, he ignored me, UNBELIEVABLE!!!! so i said it again, HE TOOK HIS TIME LOOKING UP FROM SOMETHING HE WAS WRITTING AND SAID " is there a prob? ' i said you know damned well there is, she took her time waiting on me because she was so busy flirting with you and then she threw my stuff in the floor " he had the nerve to say "just finish the transaction and be done with it" no apology NOTHING. when i was leaving she says"Have a nice evening" I said I WON'T THANKS FOR RUINING IT!!!!" just so you know i shop at $ General instead of going to Walmart cause i would rather keep the smaller businesses going then the big KING. i will NEVER go into that store again and depends on your response wether i EVER go into a $ GENERAL again. i expect a response. thank you donna jones [email protected] ph# 314 565 1600

This Store is a mess!

Just send a district Manager to this store and they will see. There are the big carts from the back of the store blocking aisles completely ,so forget it if what you came in to buy is in that aisle, the shelves are half empty because everything is still in boxes on those carts... I have traveled all over the Country and I know the need for Stores like this in small towns and Cities . Give Me and everyone else from My City a break ...CLEAN UP THE MESS and CLUTTER in this Store it is an accident waiting to happen! I will say that the current conditions in this Store changed from Good to BAD in just 9 months ago ! Please do something about this We need our organized Dollar General back! I'm sure I will not hear back from you and nothing will improve. Thought it might be worth a try.

False signing/rude employee

I have set foot in our local Dollar General for the last time. I walked in today and right up near the front of the store there was a large rolling cart with a sign on it 90%off in big letters. Below that was a list of prices Current-90% off price. At the bottom there was a white box where you could right a specific item. That box was empty. There were 4 shelves of misc merchandise. Apparently the ONLY item on that entire cart that was 90% off was two ice scrapers. Everything else was full price. To me this is a huge con and it is something they make a practice of doing ALL the time. When you question it the employees are rude then they refer you to a manager who is usually ruder yet. Maybe I am wrong but if you saw that would you not believe everything on the cart was 90% off? I have pictures of the cart and sign, however need to have someone upload them from my phone. That store is a joke! Only I don't find it very funny. The last time this happened it was a table top bin full of all different stuff. Again same sign 90% off no specific item listed I picked out a cart full of stuff only to find out at the check out NOTHING I had was ANY percent off. How do they get away with this?
