Unfair & unclear charges

On Tuesday 12th January, I booked an Easyjet flight U2885 from London Gatwick to Glasgow and was under the impression that the final price was around GBP 41.99. This was roughly the price I was told this flight should cost so I was happy to proceed with the booking. As I went ahead with the booking late in the evening it was not at all clear that if booked using a visa debit card I would be charged an extra GBP12.81 for their 'services' right at the end of the process. Obviously if I had realised at the time I would have simply booked direct with EasyJet. The very next morning, Wednesday 13th January, I tried to navigate their very complicated website to find an email address to complain and cancel my booking. It was again, very unclear and not easy to obtain an email address so I called them. I was on the phone for approx 20 mins which was costly and I was eventually given an email address to write to to claim the charges back. I spent another 20-30 mins writing an email for it only to be returned with "No MX or A records for edreams.coms". I then proceeded to call Easyjet to see if they could help but they were unable to. I proceeded message Edreams on their Facebook page but I did not receive a reply but my husband eventually did. They advised to write to them in the 'Help Center' of their website which again is very unclear and unhelpful as it is not a direct email or even postal address.
I am extremely upset with their very poor customer service, the time and money I have wasted on booking a single flight to partake in a charity event.
I look forward to hearing how best to proceed to claim back these unfair charges plus additional time and expenses.
