Just returned from staying at this filthy hole in Hawaii. After our first night I discovered a dead bug on the white sheets suspecting bedbugs. I found the familiar tell tale signs of a bed bug bite on my right leg ( 2 adjacent holes). Reported to management immediately and showed them the bite marks. They gave us a new room on a lower floor but did not get the view we paid extra for. From the get-go they tried to cover this up. They even hired a professional bed bug company to do an inspection. According to them, the room was clean. I found that hard to believe and asked for a copy of the written report. They promised to give it to me, but instead kept stalling until we went home to Canada on January 18. I have repeatedly emailed them and they refuse to respond. I even tried to leave a guest review on their website but was unable - no options to do it. I emailed them about leaving a guest review and they refuse to answer this email too. It is hotels like this that contribute to the bed bug problem. As for guest reviews, I find it hard to believe that they can deny a quest the opportunity to post. Obviously they post their own reviews - avoid this dump!

As the manager of the hotel, I would like to point out that this room was inspected by trained staff, immediately as well as a bed bug professional. The room was found to be completely clear of bedbugs. Yes, the department of health also inspected the room and found NOTHING. Please keep in mind that while they are called "Bed" bugs, the exist everywhere. This room has never had bed bugs. There is no evidence of where the bites occurred. It could have been on the flight, the taxi from the airport, a restaurant. My hotel staff addressed the concerns of the guest as soon as they brought the issue in question to our attention. The guests who occupied the room the night prior as well as the following day had no bites nor did they see any bugs. People need to be careful who they blame, as all of the evidence proved that the bug bites did not take place in the guest room.
