I've only bought from Etsy twice, but both transactions were huge headaches/disappointments. Etsy is very hands off when their buyers are scammed. My first order I'm still waiting on, and it has been over a month. I was finally able to file a claim, and now I have to wait yet another week to hear what they have to say. On my second order I was sold a glued together necklace with a plastic hobby lobby gem in it. It was advertised as a "vintage 70s necklace". The seller claimed that the stone was "Czech diamond cut glass". $32 for someone's arts and crafts project. Seriously? When I contacted Etsy, they told me that it was up to me and the seller to resolve it. Luckily, the seller agreed to a full refund. Otherwise I wouldn't have gotten anything back.

I had my site suspended because I did not understand what the questonable item was in one of my Witch supply kits. I removed them all and then was told I could not post a mortar and pestle with my herb kit because it is commercially made. I did a search on Etsy and found 124 listings for mortar and pestles. I notified their "Integrity" department and even sent them a screen shot. They told me the infractions of others is not an excuse to violate my agreement with Etsy. Because they suspended my store and forced me to remove certain very popular items, my traffic is nil.
