Charged twice

If anyone is thinking of buying anything from FAB.com, don't. I ordered some cups from them, was pretty excited about the purchase. Got notification of one item of the 4 was shipped out to me. Looking at my credit account I see three transactions for Fab.com. One for the full amount, a second one for the amount less what was shipped, and the third was $0. Concerned about this double dipping I contacted customer service. Their response was that the first amount was to "authorize" the purchase first, then they charge me once the items are shipped.

This is frustrating because my credit account considers both transactions in my balance. And when telling them of my frustration and that I will not be using them again, their response was "Unfortunately, legally, we are unable to charge customers until their order has shipped and that's why we hold the authorization." Over the years that I have been purchasing things from online, from small mom and pop stores to big corporations, this is the first time this has ever happened to me. Why can't they charge only once and Fab.com can't?

THIS SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME! FAB CHARGED ME TWICE! MONTHS AFETR MY ITEMS ALREADY SHIPPED, PAID FOR AN RECEIVED, THEY CHARGED ME AGAIN AND CLAIM THE ITEMS HAVE BEEN SHIPPED WHEN THE DELIVERY DATE WAS IN THE PAST!! I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN FAB.COM -- ENDING MY MEMBERSHIP TODAY. NOT TRUSTWORTHY!!!
