PLANNED POWER OUTAGE

On Tuesday, June 5, "TIM" left a tag hanging on my front door advising of a planned power outage on June 15 at 9:00am. Since I own a home-based business and am online from 9:00am to 7:00pm responding to client e-mails and requests, making and changing reservations, the idea that I would be OUT OF BUSINESS is extremely concerning. First I tried to call the number that "TIM" wrote on the tag - that number does not accept incoming calls. Yesterday I spent almost three hours on the phone with FPL Customer Service speaking with five (5) different representatives and no one knew a thing about any planned outage. The work request number that "TIM" provided does not exist. They did give me a number for a man by the name of Fedora who MIGHT be doing the work; he does not answer his phone, he does not reply to voice mail messages. All I want is information: is this outage going to be an all day occurrence, possibly an all weekend outage, or just for a couple of hours? Because FPL is a monopoly, we are at their mercy - they're going to do what they want to do, when they want to do it and they don't care if it ruins our business, our quality of life, or not.

Deposit

I receive a letter requesting 490.00 dollar deposit for two when I am living check to check and struggling to pay my bills. I can not afford a deposit after I've been with FPL for over 20 years. Please Help me!

Their trimming killed my tree

My beautiful Native Oak tree in my front yard was destroyed by tree trimmers (Asplundh) trimming for FPL. We received no notification that trimming was to be done. The trees was overly cut into a large lopsided V pattern, this allowed water to drain into the base of the tree and caused it to crack and fall. I am left with 2 other pieces of truck that threaten to fall into the power lines. FPL will provide no assistance for the mess they caused. Had the tree never been butchered this would of never happened. FPL needs to take responsibility for this.

FALSE CHARGES

I am a 60 year old disabled women which I have been taken advantage of your services since I moved into this apartment don't know if you have any dealing with the landlord but I am not the right person for you to mess with since I moved here I have been asking you to send someone to check my apartment because I have a 1 bedroom apartment live alone and my bills are over $110.00 a month for just one person no one has called or come but every month my bills keep growing. Today I received a call that my account from the bank returned my payment I have two bank account with money in it and they said they never returned my payment it was never entered the person that obvisiously took my payment entered the wrong information and as a result you are charging me for a returned payment which it should not be I am disabled but I will not be taken advantage of I am sorry there is not another light company here in Florida for us to choose what you have is a monopolies company and that is the reason a lot of companies are leaving Florida for the shady company like yours but I am disabled and will not be bullied even if I have to take this to the supreme court I will find congress and senators and lawyer to take my case I will not be robbed by you anymore. You need to send someone here to check out if this landlord is tampering with the electrical for others like my neighbor that works for him, because there is no need for me to be paying such a high bill. I don't have anyone living here but myself for my account to be so high.

Constant power surges and outages

At our house we have daily power surges and never know when the power is going to go out and for how long it is going to stay out. I have complained to FPL on multiple occasions. No one ever gets back to me. No one cares. I pay a lot of money for my electricity and get nothing in return. There is absolutely no reason for the power to constantly surge and go out. It has destroyed multiple appliances in my house. It would be nice if someone at FPL cared enough to actually do something.

Cannot get electic hooked up

I live in Wilton Manors, FL zip 33305 and been trying to get the electric hooked up to my new house for over a month now. I have to beg and plead from them for the Service Planning department to respond to my requests. They finally emailed me the cost to hook it up as I'm burying the line from the pole to the house but now I am waiting on an actual invoice that I need to pay before I can proceed. This level of customer service is completely unacceptable.
