Bill Payment

These cons have been processing my bill payments and keep sending me final notice shutoff warnings. Three payments in a row and I have confirmation numbers and bank records to prove it. They have no records of my payments. Did someone hijack your site or are you just trying to screw people over to raise those stock prices? Either way your incompetence/greed made you another enemy and unfortunately for you Im willing to spend the money and throw the shade at the same bureaucrats you spend most of our money buying to maintain your illegal monopoly.

You are whats wrong with America FPL. How dare you bastardize capitalism the way you have and how dare you abuse that power and the community that are forced to rely on you. Oh yeah and way to go killing those old folks during the hurricane. Dont worry Im sure it wasnt your fault. You were just warned multiple times and didnt do anything about it.

Jail Robo already. Hes a crook.

My Bill

I just moved into a one bedroom apartment in Fort Lauderdale from a 2 bedroom condo in Tamarac. I used to live with 3 other people which means We used 8 times the electric that I am using now . !!! I have only been there for a month and a half and already my bills are 218.00 a month . What the Hell .......... This is devastating as I feel I am working just to pay my electric . FPL is doing nothing to help . Why cant we have other power companies to use ? this is BS. My name is Antonio Lopez and my email address is [email protected] If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Duke Energy

I have just moved to Largo from Sarasota FL and presently renting a mobile home in a mobile home park. My business failed and
I am in bankruptcy because of the business and a failed promise by another individual. I have paid my FPL bill on time and will
pay the final one when it is due. Duke Energy has a right to charge the deposit. This mobile home is a one bedroom and has
been vacant for a few months. Currently it is under renovation. Duke Energy wants a deposit of $526 which they will hold for
23 months. I was told two different stories by the Duke Customer Service. I told them the deposit was too much. I am willing
to pay $200 deposit. The response first one, the deposit is a result of the last two months bills. I responded by saying I will
wait 2 months and apply again because I don't believe they are telling the truth. Then I filed a complaint and received a call
from the local office. The rules have changed, they take the last 12 months and average the bill and double it for the deposit.
If the former residents turned the window air conditioners on and left them running with the doors open wouldn't use $256 average
for 12 months. This is just not right. I would like to find out what government agency I can contact to notify them of this abuse.
I cannot understand why in America there are no independent companies.

Deposit Ripoff scheme

I received a notice from FPL today. They said that they realize many families are having trouble making ends meet. Therefore, they are adjusting my deposit amount. I MUST send them an additional $273.00 within 26 days or they will cut services to my family. They already have $900 in deposits from me. But I paid a little late twice within six months. So they're helping me in my troubling financial times by, making it HARDER for me to pay. Oh if I don't pay my ridiculous high bill AND the new deposit on time and they shut me down, $600 re-connection fee. I will lose all food in my fridge. Wont be able to wash clothes, have an alarm clock, etc.
Fpl is an evil entity run by evil, heartless people. They can do whatever they want, whenever they want. I can't express strongly enough, how I'd love to see them answer for ALL the heartache they've caused to millions of people all over Florida. It's not fair that they have no consequences for their evil deeds.

I missed 2 payments out of 15 years

I live in Tamarac Fl. My checking account had to be changed. So I forgot to change the account info on FPLs website. which resulted with the money not going through. The first check of course got returned then they redeposited and that got returned.

Simply because of some stupid human error after having a good record since the year 2000. I am not allowed to use the website to make payments. I have to get cash and go to a cash store.

I think FPL IS PATHETIC. I HATE YOU PEOPLE WITH A PASSION. YOU PEOPLE MAKE MONEY HAND OVER FOOT AND BECAUSE I CHANGED MY CHECKING ACCOUNT NUMBER TO SECURE MY MONEY AND I FORGOT TO PUT IT ON THE WEBSITE YOU ARE GOING TO PUNISH ME. (FIRST TIME IN 15 YEARS) DAM YOU PEOPLE

FPL pulling defective meter

Sent from
Date: January 23, 2014 at 2:57:42 PM EST

Letter to Florida Power and lights

Friday December 17 the meter reader noticed a failure on our home's meter. There were no breakers off in our home or any power problems. but with the meter not working we were no doubt enjoying free power and temperatures were hovering near freezing. So the meter was unceremoniously pulled off the wall and house guests were told to get an electrician. A message was called in to my house phone and left on our message machine to that the "power was turned off and call an electrician". With the very cold temperatures we panicked and got call out service from AC Delta Electric. This was an eighty five dollar call out and we were shocked to find that the power was still on. The electrician called and talked to FPL and explained that he could not do the repair until the power was turned off. By 10:00 o'clock I was able to get a FPL work order number (#920) that covered the disconnect from the transformer. The work happened some time during the night and I confirmed it was complete at nine AM before calling the electrician. We then had to get a permit to repair the service and it was by this time Sunday and Monday (Jan 20) was a holiday so Tuesday was the soonest permits could be had. We asked our guests to move out as there was no heat or power for the fridge/freezer. Our electrician got the permit and advised FPL that work was complete, also arranged for a fast track inspection allowing FPL to reinstall a new meter. This we were told was done immediately and we could move our guests back in. We arrived at 6:00 pm to turn the power on and move them in. No meter was installed, after calling, several times we found that work order number 600 was in place and there was a problem. However by morning it should be done. We moved our people back to another residence and waited for morning. Outside temperatures were freezing. During the night it took two service units several hours to turn the power on to my residence and they interrupted to power to my neighbors home for a half hour.
What it tells us is there was a failure in the transformer, causing the meter to fail. This is a FPL problem. We have endured the costs of the electrical call out and subsequent repairs, the inconvenience of moving people twice based on FPL misinformation and throwing frozen food out on the freezer during the five day power interruption.
While all FPL personnel were polite, the whole exercise was beyond frustration, and I believe FPL's problem.

Please review this repair and advise me .
.
