Store Manager "Amy"

The store Sales Manager “Amy” is the worst!
Last week I was at the Gap Outlet store in Camarillo, CA to exchange 2 pairs of pants that I purchased for my nephew. When I originally purchased the pants (1 week ago) I grabbed them off the rack which stated they were 40 % off. Once I was at the cash register and ready to pay the store sales manager “Amy” said that these pants were regular price, so I had her walk over with me to where I had grabbed these pants from to show her there was a full rack of these pants hanging under a sign that read 40 % off. She said she would “as a courtesy” honor the sale price on the rack. I used my rewards points voucher for my GAP credit card as well as my in store rewards coupon to purchase the pants and the sales manager “Amy” looked irritated that I ended getting these pants at such a great deal. Unfortunately, the pants did not fit my nephew and I needed to exchange for the right size, when I went to the store, the same sales manager “Amy” made sure to come to the register and ring me up when she saw I was in line. She said they no longer had that style of pants and said I would get a credit of $4.50 for each pair of pants and that I had lost all of the credits on my reward. I asked her if there was anything I could do, she said “No” with this smirk on her face! I was so upset but figured it was my fault for purchasing these pants without getting the right information on my nephew’s size beforehand. So again, yesterday my mom asked me if I could take her to the Gap Outlet store to find a pair of leggings. We were in the store and happy to shop when the same Sales Manager “Amy” comes over to us and is asking if she could help us, when we said we were doing fine, she lingered on and then sent another salesperson over to linger as well. I felt horrible! Like I was being watched to make sure I was not stealing! I think the only thing I’m guilty of is getting a good deal and she just couldn’t get over it! I left the store with my mom and called my GAP credit card to file a grievance against this person “Amy”. How dare she treat us as if we are doing something wrong, I am a loyal customer to GAP, I love using their credit card for my rewards points but now I feel it’s not worth it to shop there or have their card if they are going to treat their customer’s this way. Does she not realize that if it wasn’t for us paying customers she would be out of a job! As far as I could see it seems that her employees are afraid of her and that she has full control of the store. In any event she has No Right to treat people this way and embarrass them. Too bad for Gap, they have lost a loyal customer and credit card holder. Honestly, that store manager should be fired for her lack of leadership, training, poor customer service and rudeness! It’s no wonder GAP, Inc. has been forced to close so many stores and has had such financial problems over the years. Maybe if their staff treated their customers better and made them feel welcome this would not be happening.
