wrong furniture

since july when I ordered my couch I have been brought the wrong couch 2 times and now a defective one, I have been calling, texting, writing emails, leaving messages and I never get a response, like they say they will. I have physically gone in and spent hours there on a few occasions leaving there thinking ok maybe they will fix this. people have been rude doing there job incorrectly by putting in the wrong order after I had just been talking to them for over an hour trying to get this resolved. I have talked to headquarters many many times. I have a chronically ill daughter who lives with me making any contact harder than is for the norm. it has been a challenge to say the least we have been lifting in and out, ourselves the incorrect furniture. I need some resolve to this. I understand everyone is under pressure things are on back order right now, but I have never gotten one up date through all this I am at my wits end. failure to replace defective furniture

We purchased quite a bit of furniture from Gardner white in in July 2018 and also an entertainment center with defective built in lighting delivery when delivered find out that one side lighting was not working also the delivery crew was disrespectful and refuse to assemble as required for the both side console sand left two inches of gap in between when and left without fixing it by saying its not worth our time. The several complains to both store manager & sales associates did not do any thing. Finally i was told that parts for the light are being ordered two and half month no response & still until now no result of any repairs or fixing. Even place a credit card complain to Visa which so far not yield any results very disappointing and but still no outcome of the complain .Finally ON 01-02-2019 a crew was sent to replace the defective pieces but they took them back stating this should be a repair not replacement its not their job to decide they were send to replace but did not do it My wife and kids did not argue due to aggressive and disrespectful approach by crew in the past This is the poor corporate mentality like we get paid now we are liable to respond several attempts has failed to resolve this issue since 07-2018

Horrible customer service

I purchased a whole bedroom furniture set along with a new mattress and upon delivery our dresser drawer broke. It took them two weeks to come out and look at it and said they would order us a new drawer and it would take at most 6 weeks to get. At the end of the 6 weeks I called to see where it was and I had to play phone tag with the warranty department for 2 weeks because no one there answers the phones. Come to find out the Drawer had to be ordered again and was going to take another month to be delivered. I've tried calling multiple stores to talk to the head of customer service to see about getting a discount for the inconvenience and no one calls me back. I don't recommend shopping at Gardner White! Their furniture is cheaply made and they have the worst customer service. My meijer furniture held up longer

Lied to Me

Stopped by to buy a new mattress and box spring for my 85 year old father who was having issues falling out of bed due to it's height. Salesperson told me I could have it delivered next day, so I went to my dad's to verify the height we needed after measuring them at the store. The height of the set at the store was exacting what we needed so I went ahead and made the purchase over the phone. I asked them to email me a copy to look over. Multiple mistakes on the invoice that I asked to be corrected and salesperson told me she would have them send me a new one after the purchase. She then tells me that they don't have the matching boxspring for the set but she can get one that is the same, and I asked her if it was 5 1/2' as this was really important and she told me it was. Never received the corrected and paid invoice as I requested.

The next day they only deliver the mattress, no box spring. Delivery guy tells me that Gardner White salespeople do this all the time and tell you they have something they don't to make the sale. He said it was not even on the order. I called the salesperson Barbara and they would look into it and, oh someone else placed an order the last one and didn't tell her. Obviously someone is lying. I asked them to rush me another but they don't have any and have to wait for them to come in. I call to speak to a manager, who was trying to be helpful but there is no attention to detail with this company. I asked her, will this replacement you get be 5 1/2" and she tells me yes like the salesperson. I push hard and ask her to measure because it has to be a certain height so my dad can get in and out easily. Finally after multiple times asking she goes and measures and it's NOT the same height as the one that comes with the mattress.

Now we have to special order it and it's going to take a week. I needed it all same day and explained this to the salesperson and manager! I go to the store today to get my invoice and I never got the promised gift cards that came with the sale. Got one invoice and had to ask for the other part, then saw they never fixed my email address as I told them to do. Still no gift cards.

General Manager was nearby and heard the conversation and me telling how upset I was with the lies and mistakes and never bothered to come and enter the conversation. The other manager did at least apologize but I then went and approached the General Manager as I wanted him to know that I was lied to and all the mistakes and issues I had. His name was Mark and he really did not have nothing to say. Did not apologize, did not offer anything, and I told him you must really want to lose my business.

I called the corporate lines, can't get anyone to talk to you, just voicemail and transferring you. I've left two messages now for a district manager to call me and no call.

So my poor 85 year dad is still struggling getting in and out of bed, I have no box spring still and no gift cards, yet I paid $926.43.

Still have not recieved tables

Gardner White advertised Coralayne tables, I placed an order on December 4th 2017 for one cocktail and two end tables, in the amount of $691.95. Gardner White keep telling me that I'm going to get the tables but today, February, 7, 2018, is the 4th time they pushed the order back. I really like these tables. Very angry and frustrated. False advertising

I purchased what was supposed to be leather furniture 4 years ago. All of a sudden the couch on one end started peeling away in numerous areas and it turns out to not even be leather.

Bedroom set

OMG!!! I wish I've read these complaint before I brought this bedroom set! How true Gardner white furnitureis horrible. Cheap indeed. I tried wiping my dresser off and the paint on the wood came off. Didn't even have it a month! All I used was furniture polish. They sent a tech to inspect the furniture and a week later, I had to contact the store, when I was told that someone should contacted me in 72 hours. Yeah right! That didn't happen. Then I was told I did something wrong, and it was going to cost me $80 buck plus 100 to pick the furniture up and bring it back! Are you kidding me! And let's not forget customer service all in one word HORRIBLE!!!!! BEWARE DON'T SHOP THERE!

predatory lending/deceptive practice

We purchased a living room set before Thanksgiving this past year. It is a nice set, but after discovering how much they're charging every month and the nearly 30% interest rate......it isn't worth it. Now, I know that it was my error for not taking the time to read the small print, however, it wouldn't have inconvenienced my salesman THAT much to stop and explain it all to me.
Word to the wise..... either pay cash, use your own credit card, or buy from Rent-A-Center or Aaron Rents.....at least you can control your payments and they're up front about things. If I had realized how much I was going to be actually paying for this stuff, I absolutely never would have made this purchase.
I feel taken advantage of, and a little foolish for not investigating further, but, we need this furniture, and wanted it....so, as they say, "the devil is in the details." Shame on you Gardner-white Furniture. Shame on you for deceptive practices and for rushing ...... "just sign on the dotted line."

Couch and love seat cushions

Bought couch and love seat last May. Soon the cushions were flattening out. You replaced them twice. These cushions are also crap! I left several messages with the District manager ( ext 1122) no response. I asked if they would give me a. Refit towards the purchase of something else, but still havnt heard anything. Not only is,the furniture I purchased sub standard , so,is,GW customer service.

Defective Love Seat

I purchased a leather couch and love seat from the Gardner White store located in Macomb late last April. Since that time the coloring of the love seat has literally been falling off, the couch has been fine and is in the same room as my love seat. A service tech from Gardner White came to my house to look at the love seat and I was told that it could not be fixed, he took some pictures of my love seat and said someone would call. The next day a man named Adam Lambert called and left a message on my phone stating since he observed windows in the picture there was nothing that could be done to assist me with my love seat, even though love seat is still under warranty and I purchased the leather protection package, I missed the call because I was working at the time. Mr. Lambert came to this collusion without ever stepping foot in my house, knowing how I have had my furniture arranged or what way my house faces. Mr. Lambert must be telepathic or much more likely be getting paid by the number of costumers he tells to get bent we have your money already. Since receiving the message from Mr.Lambert I have left numerous voice mails with him and he/Gardner White refuse to return any of my calls. Bottom line to the above is Gardner White DOES NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCTS THEY SELL, HORRIBLE UNPROFESSIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE. Please, do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere unless you live a cave.

broken drawers in new chest of drawers

I purchased a Bedroom set on 2/2/13 a week later I moved the chest and discovered that it is uneven, and the night stand also, called and made an appointment a service rep came out and said that my floor was un even. my old set didn't wobble..while checking the chest and night stand I also complain about not being able to remove the drawers from the two items after a brief tussle he did manage to remove the drawers and to my surprise they had cracks in the bottem of them you could see right thru . he wrote up a complaint on a form and his supervisor is suppose to call me have not heard from them yet FOX 2 NEWS will be my next call about this CHEAP OVER PRICED VIET NAM made Furniture

cheaply made furniture

We bought a love seat and 2 recliners from the Canton store last March. Within a month of having the furniture, the stuffing was packing down and shifting in the arms, the cushion of the one chair was lumpy and the handle on one chair was chipping paint. We called them in January of 2012. Since then 3 people have been out. The first time all the guy did was take pictures and submit some of the complaint, but not all of it, and said someone would call us. They never did, so we went down there to talk to a manager. We got Shannon. She assured us someone would come out and take care of it. Someone else came out and he did replace the one cushion and added another core to the recliner, but then told us that he was not going to be adding stuffing to the arms, because that was another person that had to take care of that and it was about a four hour job. I talked to Shannon again and asked her to set up the appointment with the other person that could add the stuffing. She again made me believe that the correct person was going to be coming out to add stuffing to the arms, and we did set up that appointment. When the man came out all he did was change the handle on the chair. He was there maybe 5 minutes, and again said that was an all day appointment and that he couldn't do it. Three times now I've sat around here waiting for their service people to come fix the problem, and 3 times have been disappointed by the result. I'm tired of Shannon's false promises, and again that man told me someone would call and they again have not. I feel that the people at Gardner White are deliberately trying to avoid this problem until the warranty runs out, which is at the end of April. No furniture should look like ours in such a short time. I've had furniture for 13 years that the stuffing never moved around like this. It's completely unacceptable. I sent a letter explaining the problems we've had to the corporate office, and I did hear back from Kim, the same day. She said it was not a defect, and that the furniture required us to "fluff up" the arms after use and that they would not re-stuff the arms. The furniture was only a couple months old when this all started. I will never shop there again, and I urge everyone else to find their furniture elsewhere as well.

cheaply made furniture

Gardner White Furniture appreciates your input. Gardner White offers a 1-year warranty against manufacturer's defects. Many products today use a dacron in the arms and cushions. Dacron will flatten with use. Dacron will also fluff back up with assistance. We apologize you are unhappy with the Dacron material. Your input is greatly appreciated.

Broken crappy furniture

I purchased furniture on 3/2i5/11. My bed broke on 3/13/12. I contacted the store, and service tech came out. Of course, he couldn't fix it. His manager contacted me, stating it was broken because of a weight issue, basically explaining we weighed too much and broke it. (My husband and I combine maybe weight 400lbs) we spoke to Rick, who did nothing and wouldn't replace te headboard, which split from the frame bc it is cheap ass wood. He wanted u to pay $120 to fix it. Spoke to Mrs Preston who was a flat out rude bitch who claims she has no boss or anyone over her and said "well I can't help what bed you purchased" are you kidding me!? Stand behind your product!! It didn't even last a year!! I paid over a grand for it, your damn right ir better last more then a year! She argued with me and my husband, and told ud we could not contact anyone above her, that she was it. LIES. All we want is for your company to stand behind its product. It broke in less then a year and has never been moved. No help and shitty furniture. Do not go there. It is cheap furniture and they will not help you!
