I've been a customer for three years with no problem until yesterday. I tried to withdraw money from my card and I couldn't. I called to find out what the problem was and after I input my information....a recording informed that my card was blocked and that I could not reapply for another card EVER!! It took me about an hour to get someone on the phone and when I did the guy told me that my card was blocked due to unusual activity. So I asked....what exactly is unusual activity. He responded by saying that it was against the law to disclose that information. WTH. Since when is it against the law to know what you have done wrong? I asked about the load limit (which is $2500 a day). I have never loaded that amount onto my card. I explained that I play Bingo at least three nights a week and although my winnings are usually small....I always load it onto my card. The most that I've loaded in a 24 hour period on any given day is $120. I asked several times for an explanation and was told to read the terms. I did not violate the terms but yet I was blocked. When I asked to speak to a supervisor I was told for a period of 1 hour that the agent was waiting for a response. I got tired of waiting and ended the call. What good is having a prepaid card that determines how often you can load it? Greendot has just lost me and most of my friends that I encouraged to get this card as customers.
