Steering rack and cambelt repairs

Ek het die voertuig H5 gekoop van 'n handelaar in Potchefstroom TX Auto 22 Februarie 2017. Ek werk in Odendaalsrus en Woensdag 22 Maart het die kar 'n baie groot olie lek. ek neem die voertuig na GWM in Welkom wat toe se dit is die seels op die steering rack die kar moet 5 dae daar bly. Ek vra toe ook dat die cambelt vervang moet word wat nooit gedoen is op 70 000km. Ek sit gestrand sonder 'n voertuig in Odendaalsrus ek bly in Potchefstroom, kan nie by die werk kom is 2 weke al van die huis af en elke keer wanneer ek die handelaar bel se die dame net ons sorteer nog dit uit met waarborg ek bel jou terug. Dit is Dinsdag 28 Maart en daar is nog niks gedoen nie en steeds sal sy my terug bel maar dit gebeur net nie Ek is rasend want ek moet Vrydag 31 Maart my blyplek ontruim in Odendaalsrus en na 'n nuwe blyplek verhuis. Geen voertuig. Wat het van goeie diens geword? Kan iemand my net asb help?

air con compressor

My steed 5, 2.2 was fitted with new air con compressor in october 2015, just before the end of october 2016, it was not working and i took it back and i was told that it has no guarantee, its my first time to hear a part has no guarantee, please respond

H5 RUST WARRENTY

I bought my GWM H5 in 2015. According to the contract I signed, the car has a 10 year anti-corrosion warranty. Warranty no: 5093. Richards Bay GWM closed down and merged with Sizuki Richards Bay. When I took my car for corrosion inspection 2016, I was told that the car was wax treated by Waxoyl on arrival when I collected the car, collection date 11/06/2015, but when it went for its 2nd corrosion inspection, I was told that the Waxoyl warranty was never registered with CMC- international. According to the brochure when I bought the car it had a 10 year anti-corrosion warranty, which I compleated forms for and signed. Richards Bay GWM/Sizuki said to me that my car now only has a 2 year warranty, since the warranty was not registered, GWM/Sizuki could not assist me with the 10 year warranty and they advised me to contact the previous owners, but the previous owners are nowhere to be found. I did contact GWM customer services and sent emails to 'Paul Marcelino'([email protected]) , I emailed him the brochure and the contract, everything that I signed on the 2016/06/29 07:30 PM but till today no responce from GWM care, GWM South Africa or GWM/Sizuki....

As a customer of GWM I am very very dissipointed on how I am being treated, this is my 2nd GWM vehicle and the customer services is really bad, now that Ive bought the vehicle I have no support....Please can I have assistance asap, you can email me on [email protected], I have got proof of all contracts and email if that will assist you in solving this issue.

Client Service

My GWM C30 was due for it's 15 000km service. Upon booking the vehicle in I was under the impression the vehicle has a service plan. Later we were informed that there was no service plan and the vehicle was ready to be collected and it would cost R1990.00. They went ahead and serviced the vehicle without my permission while we were trying to sort out the issue of the service plan and now I'm held liable for the cost.

Low power

Tried to park this morning. The car could not reverse at all - no power. There is a lag of a few seconds when pulling away before the car starts moving. This puts your life in danger ! We have it fixed, but the problem always returns and it becomes sluggish. The aircon reacts in a very random way - I hardly use it as it just causes frustration.

Rust! Rust! Rust!

Goeie dag!

Ek is bly om te sien daar is baie baie meer mense as myself wat met presies dieselfde probleem sukkel.
Swak diens! Treurige roes regmaak!
Nou ja hier is my storie.

Roes is in 2014 Maartmaand op my bakkie "REGGEMAAK" nou ja dis nou vir jou die grap van die jaar. Dit het die roes net vererger en nou is almal doof, stom of dood wat dit moet uitsorteer. GWM Steed 5 2.2 Mpi wat 'n great voertuig. Net jammer die handelaars, werkswinkel en naverkoopdiens is so pateties. Ek het roes wat nie meer reggemaak kan word nie, die deure op my voertuig sal vervang moet word. Ek hoop GWM hoofkantoor gaan na my toe terugkom want ek is nou mooi gaaivol hierdie gaan ek nie net so los nie. Ons swaarverdiende geld word behoorlik gegryp vir die nuwe voertuie wat ons koop en dan daarna???? Ek gaan die saak nie net hier los nie. Dit is 'n belofte as GWM dink hulle kan met hulle kliente maak soos hulle wil het hulle 'n verassing wat oppad is. Al is ek 'n vrou gaan ek nie dat hulle oor my loop met hulle "lame" verskonings nie. Ek het duur vir my voertuig betaal, laat elke diens by handelaar doen, kry my voertuig terug sonder "breakfluid' ha ha ha en die lys gaan net aan. Die roes is deur hulle eie bevoordeelde pelle se paneelkloppers gedoen, die werk is pateties verby. My deur gaan vervang word, en EK GAAN NIE VIR DIT BETAAL NIE!!!

GWM

owning a M4 for my wife I got myself a H5 big problems after some time i told the garage I no longer wanted the H5 it was a load of rubbish I then took on an H 6 its now eight months the engine cuts out when coming to a stop the radio fades out when i got it, it needed a service dash board broken ETC at this time i am going through the consumer protection people and I am keeping my fingers crossed that they support me and not GWM theres no fool like an old fool be 66 years old and taken to the cleaners by GWM

RUSTING VEHICLE

I HAVE PURCHASED A NEW GWM STEED 5 D/CAB FROM THE DEALER IN STANGER WHICH HAS SINCE CLOSED DOWN . THE VEHICLE IS NOW RUSTING BADLY AND ON INSPECTION THERE SEEMS THAT THERE WAS NO PRIMER EVEN USED ON THE VEHICLE .IT IS ON VARIOUS DIFFERENT PARTS ON THE VEHICLE .WHEN I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICES,THEY SAID BECAUSE I DONT HAVE A SERVICE HISTORY ON THE VEHICLE THEY CANNOT HELP ME .(AGENT HAS CLOSED DOWN)
I CANNOT UNDERSTAND WHAT HAS SERVICING HAS TO DO WITH THE VEHICLE RUSTING BADLY. ITS JUST POORLY CONSTRUCTED WITH CHEAP RAW MATERIAL.THIS I PROBERBLY THE 5th NEW VEHICLE I PURCHASED BUT NEVER HAVE I HAD A PROBLEM LIKE THIS

I AM CONSIDERING CONTACTING THE PRESS,CONSUMER COUNCIL AND OTHER PUBLIC NOTIFICATION MEANS TO MAKE BUYERS AWARE OF MY SITUATION AS THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AS THIS VEHICLE MIGHT BE A SCRAP BEFORE I FINISH PAY FOR THIS VEHICLE

I bought H5 on the 6th July 2015 in Rodepoort Johannesburg

Good morning Karin,

My complain is that i bought a H5 on the 06th of July 2015 it is a 2011 model which was having 60 000 km the unfortunate part is that when i got home i realized the i do not have spare keys i contacted the Dealer they can't help me with the spare key. Further more the car does not have a service book and a manual. I don't know if these is a normal practice.

GWM H5

I bought a GWM H5, 2013 model. Within the first week, the vehicle would not unlock the doors with the remote. No lights on dashboard, no wipers, no indicators, boot cannot open, nothing. The vehicle was returned on numerous occasions, until the "Body Control Unit" were eventually replaced after months. The problem still continued.... I cannot even remember how many times I had to call someone after being stuck at night without lights, driving in heavy traffic and suddenly no indicators, entire dashboard "dead". A 2nd Body Control Unit was fitted, this time resulting in a "brake light failure" every time you brake. Months afterwards the vehicle went in after many complaints from my side. Everyone pointing the finger for this "disaster" at someone else. I took the vehicle in for the 3rd Body Control Unit and endless programming 4 months ago to the GWM service branch in Newton Park, Port Elizabeth. They called me after 3 months to collect the vehicle. As I was driving out into the traffic, I was almost bumped from behind as there were no brake lights. Everything "dead" on dashboard. My vehicle worst than when I took it in, back to the trauma and frustration I experienced since I collected my vehicle within the first week.
Another month has past. They lost my spare key. They don't phone me back. Someone from GWM Head Office phoned me 2 weeks ago after I send him an email complaining about the situation. He promised that a new harnass will be ordered. That was the last time anyone returned any of my emails or phone calls.
I bought a brand new vehicle, which is almost out of its warranty, parked for 4 months at a GWM service branch. Im sitting without transport for 4 months. I have to rely on other people to drive me around. Is there no one at GWM that can take responsibility for a vehicle they sold, which I cannot use.

GWM Westrand- Poor service

I had a problem with my car the speedometer is not working and I took it to GWM Westrand on the 12th January 2015. They valuated the car and they told me that the car warranty is 3 year/100 00km. But the lady who helped me told me that they will fax the request to GWM Head office in Durban and will wait for the respond, they will call me on the 14th with the feedback. No one called me so I called them on the 15th and also on the 16th and I left the message again still no one returned my calls. I phoned again on the 19th left the message again still no one returned my calls.
I phoned on the 20th and I asked to speak to someone from the complaints department but the receptionist told me that the person who is supposed to help me is out. I don’t understand what kind of company who has only one person at the complaints department. All I want from them is to give me a feedback. Do I have to beg them to give me the feedback? Their service is so poor.
I have been taking my car to them for service and other problem- the engine light keeps on popping up and I have been taking my car to them still they can’t fix it. I just gave up with this.
Can someone come back to me with the feedback? If they are unable to help their customers why can’t they just closed down, this seems to me that GWM Westrand should not be in business they don't know the first thing about customer service.

Goeie dag phillip dis Dirk Hattingh ek het mos die H6 gekoop by johan hulle in kimberley ek is baie gelukig met die voertuig maar was nou met vakansie gewees in Port Elizabeth toe die voertuig met probleme begin het op pad PE toe het die kar. begin loop soos n diesel filter wat vuil is loop en ruk .Ek het by GWM in PE gegaan en vir hulle gese wat die voertuig maak toe se hulle vir my dat daar n bullet uit is op die voertuig want het al 4 van hulle gekry wat dit doen en toe se ek vir hulle dat die ratte baie stuif is ook toe se hulle die oilie is te dik hulle vervang dit met dunner oilie as hulle die pdi doen toe se ek ok ek sal wag as ek in kimberley is en hom vat.Ek het hom vir Johan gevat om op die masjien te sit toe se ek vir hulle wat PE vir my gese het toe se johan hy weet nie daarvan nie maar sal uit vind toe bel ons vir roman hy is nie daar nie toe praat ek met ben ou vertel hom wat die kar maak toe se hy vir my dat PE besig is met hulle uie ding want hy weet nie van n bullet nie en ook nie van die ratkas oilie nie toe se ek vir hom dat die resume op die speed control nie werk nie toe se hy hulle moet die sensor op die peddals opstel want ek ry op die clutch toe se ek hoe kan op die clutch ry as ek in 6 de rat is johan het probeer help maar al wat hy se hulle het nie meer vir GWM nie maar dit los nie die probleme op ni gaan ek weer dieselfte pad as die bakkie loop hy is nou swaarder op branstof en dit is nie aanvaarbaar vir my nie en nou en dan het hy nie krag nie ek moes hom in PE druk om te gaan hy loop nie soos wat ek hom in die begin gekry het hy is dood dankie qag om van jou te hoor

ek is besig met tony pinfold die eienaar van GWM want dit kan nie so aangaan nie gwm vee net hulle gatte af aan n mens om n klomp geld te betaal en daar nie eers diens nie

GWM Wesrand swak diens

On Wednesday 8/10/2014 I took my 2013 GWM Steed 2.5TDCI to GWM Wesrand. The fog light fuses was not working. They told me it will take a few day to repair. Jackie phoned me and told me they need to get authorization as it is a part hat is still under the warranty. They got the authorization and ordered the parts. Jackie then didn't phone me back and I phoned her but she was never available. After a week I got hold of her. She told me the part was wrong and the whole process need to be repeated. After another week, they got the part but now told me the "harnas" needed to be replaced. After lots of phoning and going to GWM Wesrand and being very upset, I got the vehicle back on 14/11/2014. The lighter did not work, after investigating I saw that the plug was not plugged in. On Sunday the wires fell on my pedals as I was driving and the panel case can only open slightly, as something is in the way. I still wait for a washer that is on back order. I am very upset with the service. I phoned Leon at GWM South Africa after 2 weeks of waiting, but he also has not helped at all. hope somebody do something about this. Michael Ras

Gwm westrand

I purchased a pre-owned Actyon from Gwm westrand on the 17th feb It broke down on the 18th feb and they have had it since the broke one of the glow plugs in the head and every time I call them they are busy with it Today is the 17th April i am still insuring and paying for a vehicle I have not got This seems to me that Gwm westrand should not be in business the don't know the first thing about customer service.I have contacted GWM sa but they are just as useless.

G.W.M

Bought a Steed 5 2.2 petrol the gearbox lasted only 13000 km was send in for repairs waited 3 weeks for warrinty claim vehichle came back from repairs and the gearbox didnt last another week(Repairs done by a authorised G.W.M Dealer).Got rid of this scrap and to my utter dismay decided to trade this bakkie in on a 2.5 t diesel(losing a lot of money in the process) it is even a bigger piece of scrap than the first on on 16000 km the Glowplugs has gone twice,the windows dont work(cable burnt) the whole egnition system is not working bakkie wont switch off.Try driving in the rain with windows not working or having to take of ur battery terminal every time u stop or want to drive.Now waiting for another 3 week period for another warrinty claim for all this broken stuff and in the mean time paying ur monthly payments.Buying G.W.M was the biggest mistake i have ever made.Be warned!

GWM Steed 2.8 DTI

I bought this vehicle at Lady Brand. First time I used Sunvisors the brackets broke. minor issue. On 55k00km the Difflock was repaired 2 times (again Faulty), 8 sets of brakepads, Front wheels bearings replaced 3 times, Clutch replaced on 26000km, Battery repleced after 7 months, Power steering unit replaced at 45000km, Propshaft repaired 2 times, and now again under repairs. Service station: Assistance very poor, Reception Lady rude, Spares Clerk lied many times regaring delivery and avaiibility. No back-up from Branch Manager in the past.(Only want to sell more cars!!) This time I am not even going to contact them but sure I will spread the word in the public against GWM and the service from LADY BRAND. I am waiting for a reply from them in quick time and if nothing happens I am going to take futher steps!!!!!!
