Harbortouch

I am looking to see if there is an existing class action against Harbortouch, I have been talking to an attorney and collecting information from a lot of other merchants that have the same problems of made up charges, overcharging, wrongfully holding money and on and on. Canceled with Merchant Services over a year ago and harbor touch bought them out and still charges

In July of 2016 we changed processors from Merchant Services to Elavon and sent in a cancellation letter and thought everything was canceled. I guess around the same time Harbor Touch bought out Merchant Services and they never canceled our account. I was looking through invoices and found a monthly charge coming directly from my bank for about $55. This was an over site on my accountant not knowing that we didn't use that company any longer. I contacted Harbor Touch and explained what happened and they saw in my account sure enough this was the fact. They needed another letter sent to them and said they would cancel. It's been a couple weeks and I got another bill. I called again and they said "oh yes we see the cancellation but you didn't fill out the cancellation request form." I said well I never got one and no one ever said I had to, she responds well you like to request one be sent out to you? I said yes, why do you think I called and she said you don't have to get smart and hung up on me. Still no luck on getting this done.

Overcharges and make up their own prices

These people are ruthless and liars ,very hard to deal with can't get a straight answer from them. Some how some way the sales men got me to sign up with their bank when I told him from the jump that I didn't need to was happy with my own back so now am being rocked with off the wall interest rates! Not too mention the half fast training u get from them.u don't know how many times I wanted to throw it out in the middle of the street I wouldn't recommend this Piece of s- - - to know one!!!!!! They Literally took us to the Bank.so bottom line do your self a favor look else where. PS one sorry customer! Sincerely 8 diamonds

Charging after we stopped using svcs

I recently took over bank reconciliations for my company and discovered that we were being charged by harbortouch for cc processing. After further investigation, I discovered that we stopped doing business with harbortouch over 3 years ago, but harbortouch continued charging us without providing any service. We cancelled our service in Dec of 2016, but harbortouch only cancelled three of our seven accounts. I just got off the phone with a representative who assured me that the remaining four accounts will be cancelled now (5 months later). My recent experience makes me think that we probably tried canceling this service over three years ago before dropping the ball on our end. Harbor touch has charged us over $5,000 per year (7 accounts x $60.95 each x 12 months) without providing any services or equipment whatsoever and refuses to refund any more than three months of billings, on the 4 accounts that they neglected to cancel in December when I first contacted them. I am shocked and disgusted by their lack of integrity.

Harassment by Harbortouch rep

My Harbortouch "representative" has been harassing me and threatening my business....Harbortouch has done nothing about it at all - they say that he is not employed by them...Although this rep does say he sits on their advisory board....The constant messages and threats are insane...He is clearly a crazy person...Lately, Harbortouch has not been depositing my money on Fridays...They are the worst....

Harbortouch United Bank Card - A Total Nightmare! Overcharges and Bogus Fees

Our experience with Harbortouch has been horrible.They have charged us fees above what was agreed to, and charged bogus PCI fees, which no reputable bank charges.

To get refunds from them is like pulling teeth. Our merchant ID is 18515325. Example: Looking at the December 2016 statement, I had total transactions in the amount of $802.34. Of this amount, $595.54 were debit transactions.

Of the total of $802.34, I was charged $71.01, or 9% of my total. Square would have charged $22 for $800 in transactions at a flat rate of 2.75%. These alleged charges of "authorization" and "other" are included in the processing fees, not in addition to. Both their regional manager Darren Sellner, and their sales rep Sal Balistreri promised that any rates from other banks would be matched by Harbortouch.

Complete BS! Also, their CEO Jared Isaacman basically told me I was stuck in a contract and no refunds for overcharges would be made. By the way, this so called "free" POS system costs us close to $100 per month, in addition to their outrageous fees.

Also, there contract protects them from filing suit in your local courts, and that you wave class action status.Would a reputable company need this?

Mis-representation FRAUD

This company HT allows their sale people to make false claims and mis-represent them I found them through
craigslist ad to a guy named Vin at cell phone 1-805-506-1258 or in their ad at 1-888-589-1190.
Asked them how it worked and fees that they claim many of which I was charged for anyway after getting the POS.
Vin told us we wouldn't get charged until we setup the service with Harbor when we were opening un July 2016 but they would
send us the POS without getting charged for it, so we had it shipped to us in April. 2016.
Less then 3 weeks later we had 3 total charges of $99.00, $106.00 and $39.99 taking out of our bank account through
ACH auto withdrawal. After 4 months of this happening and over $1000. worth of charges we shut the bank account down.
Harbor touch said they would work with the salesman and sort through this along with Vin who told us the charges would be reversed.
None of which ever happened, they sent us letters to return the POS and now they are sending the full amount of the contract to a collection agency. PLEASE don't deal with them and their B***Shit. they make false claims and have terrible customer support.
Their so called independent sale people have free range at making fake promises and the company needs to be sued.

FRAUDULENT CHARGES AND UNAUTHORIZED DEBITS

HARBORTOUCH REP ROY MAZE FROM ROCKPORT TEXAS PERSONALLY CAME TO OUR SMALL BUSINESS AND SIGNED US UP WITH HARBORTOUCH AFTER MONTHS OF USING HARBORTOUCH I STARTED REALIZING THAT THE FEES AND PERCENTAGE WE WERE PAYING WAS NOT WHAT WE WERE TOLD BY MR. MAZE AS A MATTER OF FACT OUR RATES VARIED AND FEES WERE INCREASING WITHOUT ANY PRIOR NOTICE. I CALLED ROY MAZE AND ASKED HIM TO COME BY OUR OFFICE AND SHOWED HIM WHAT HARBORTOUCH WAS CHARGING AND HE SAID THEY HAD SOLD THE COMPANY AND THEY WERE NOT SHOWING GOOD BUSINESS PRACTICES AND HE HAD A NEW PROCESSOR HE WAS WORKING FOR AND HE WOULD SWITCH US TO THEM.

IMMEDIATELY I ASKED WILL WE HAVE ANY CANCELLATION FEES...."NOT AT ALL" HE GAVE ME A FORM TO FILL OUT "MERCHANT PROCESSING CANCELLATION NOTICE" AND HAD ME FILL IT OUT AND SIGN IT. WE FAXED IT AND MAILED IT IN. WE THEN MAILED THE EQUIPMENT BACK TO HARBORTOUCH AND NOW ALMOST A YEAR LATER WE ARE STILL BEING CHARGED (AUTOMATIC WITHDRAWAL) I HAVE CALLED NUMEROUS TIMES AND FAXED 3-4 TIMES AND EMAILED A HAND FULL OF TIMES THE CANCELLATION ALONG WITH THREATENING LETTERS AND REQUEST FOR REFUNDING OUR MONEY. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THEY WILL GET IT TAKEN CARE OF AND STILL TODAY OUR ACCOUNT WAS ZAPPED FOR ANOTHER $55.00. I AM FED UP WITH THE UNFAIR AND FRAUDULENT BUSINESS PRACTICES OF HARBORTOUCH.

AS FAR AS ROY MAZE IS CONCERNED THE OTHER CREDIT CARD PROCESSING COMPANY HE SWITCHED US TO THEY ARE NOT MUCH BETTER AND THAT IS TOTAL MERCHANT SERVICES AT LEAST THEY ONLY TOOK 3 MONTHS TO STOP CHARGING OUR ACCOUNT. ROY MAZE IS JUST AS MUCH A SCAM ARTIST AS HARBORTOUCH. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HARBORTOUCH AND DEFINATELY DO NOT GIVE THEM YOU ACCOUNT INFORMATION. I AM GOING TO MEET WITH A ATTORNEY TO DISCUSS FILING A LAW SUIT AGAINST THEM FOR FRAUD.

Jim Loughery

My name is ken racioppi and im an agent office for Harbortouch. Mr Loughery owned a business that utilized 2 of my pos systems up until the time he sold the business. For the time that he had the systems he received outstanding service from me. I always made myself available whenever he needed me which also included traveling over an hour each way to be on site whenever he asked me. when he sold the business he transferred the pos agreement to the new owner which went smoothly. Unfortunately the very first month under new ownership the fees were erroneously billed to the old account. Jim called me about the mistake so i immediately reached out to Harbortouch finance department to have rectified. i guess because it wasnt rectified that instant, mr Loughery felt the need to go online to call me a con man. I understand the mistake which certainly was not intentional caused financial problems for him but to call me a con man is an absolute joke. When he didnt get his refund the next day i took it all the way up the latter to the ceo to get it resolved which is exactly what happened. Here we are 2 years later and the account is still very active and using the 2 systems without issue. Mr. Loughery thought he would post lies about me to get his money back which makes him look foolish. I have a very large book of business that i have been able to grow through hard work and a commitment to exceptional service which has served me well for over 20 years in this business.

Harbortouch

I have read hundreds of complaints.

It seems each one of us is too small to take them to court, but collectively . . . .

The 'salesman' is a young man from Fort Wayne, pleasant enough. He promised us this POS was extremely good for a pizzeria, and if we didn't like it, we could send it back, no problem. WRONG. We didn't like it, and for nearly a year we tried to get a return authorization -- NO ONE would return our calls, and no one could deal with it when we did get through. Finally one day I called and the lady answering the phone told me that they didn't deal with return authorizations, just send everything back. A day or two later some one called to tell us they were sending someone out to pack it and take it back to Allentown. GREAT. He came. While here he told of hundreds of "returns" from very unhappy people which he had to deal with, and that our Karen was one of the most pleasant he'd dealt with. Then HT sent a statement for nearly $5,000.00 for us to terminate the contract. I ripped it up, sent it back and said they didn't keep their end of the contract, therefore it is null and void. unauthorizing withdraw

they withdrew 495.95 out of my checking acct 12/10/14. 4 months later no one knows where the money went . today they said it was canceling fees . but they also send my a bill for 610.00 for cancelation fees and a bill for 199.00 for the money they should have gotten . GET REAL.

Harbortouch in general

In 2012 we did a name brand partnership in a coffee shop business, at the time the existing 5 year contract was in its second year & the contract was supposted to be transfered to us so the funds went into our bank. Long story short, they created a whole new 5 year contract & afte a year of LOUSY service, we tried to get out of the contract only to find out that we would have to pay over 6 thousand dollars to buy out the contract. Add to this a MAJOR security breach in that I logged onto the web site with my merchant # & password only to find myself with complete access to another persons records going back as far as I cared to look!!! After taking forever to get hold of someone to correct this issue, was rewarded by not being able to access my records for 2 weeks(all with no apology or compensation). Any time we had to contact them when the systems went down (extremely frequently) it took hours getting someone to answer the phone & then the infamous hold time...mean while our customers are walking out the door! After dealing with this for over 2 years, we finally shut their system down, paid the fees for another 2 months waiting for authorization to return their equiptment....no response to that request! We then put a stop payment on the debits to our account, now thery are threating collection & promising to ruin both our corpotate & personal credit. This is bearly scratching the surface of our problems with them (including charges that we have no idea what they are for, bank deposits not matching sale, etc., etc.) but don't want to write a whole book, which we probably could!

RIP OFF

DO NOT USE HARBORTOUCH. THEY ARE STEALING MONEY FROM SMALL BUSINESSES.

Check your bank account. They charge your bank account extra fees. When you report the extra fees, they stop the charges. However, they will not credit the fees they charged you in error. They claim the fees are valid because did not call earlier.

The customer service is even worse. When you call it takes forever to get someone on the phone. I called and spoke with Enildo Coronado and he hung up on me.

I reported the issue to Brian Jones, the VP of Sales and he will not get back to me.

My sales rep Ken Racioppi is a con man. He set me up with this account. Now he will not return calls or emails.

I made an offer to Jared Isaacman, CEO. He can either listen to the tape of me and Enildo Coroando talking on the phone on August 11, 2014 at 2:03 PM. Or, he can return my money. And we are only talking about $500.

If Jared Isaacman listens to the tape or returns my money. I will remove all of the notes that I am listed on these complaint boards.

HORRIBLE SERVICE

HARBORTOUCH HAS THE WORST SERVICE, NEVER ANSWER PHONE CALLS, LEFT MANY MESSAGES, BUT NEVER GOT A CALL BACK. IM ANGRY IN GOING TO DISCONECT AL MY POS SYSTEM AND MAIL IT BACK TO THEM. I CAN NOT WAIT ON THE PHONE FOR HOURS AND AT THE END NOT EVEN BE ABLE TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE. FUCK THEM.

Harbor touch

I was stupid enough to sign up with this company and after years of crappy broken equipment, incompetent service department and fees for things I never heard of my contract was up or so I thought. I sent the notices over and over to both Harbor touch and United Bank - I even returned all their worthless equipment and now over a year later with no prior notice I am informed they are suing me.

Outrages fees

There is no such free POS system, They send out their dishonest salesman to convince you that there is 69.99 a month only fee, But God wen you are in , you get all the surprise sooory fees , my first month I got a surprise fee on top of my 69.99 in the amount of $54.00 ,they said its quarterly charges, my second month with them I get $89.00 deducted from my account , no explanation no previous billing , they just deduct. I ask what is the 89.00 for? they said some God knows security fee. I wonder what will the third additional month fee surprise will be. I ask the salesman for the early termination fee, he said $500.00.. harbor touch accounting said must pay 69.00*60 month 4150.00. beware business people dont do same mistake.

I just got a new charge today also in the amount of $12.00 from harbortouch, they just keep on dipping into my account with no previous notice as to for what and why .

Fraudulent Billing by Harbortouch When I cancelled before Harbortouch ever took over United Bank Card

It has been almost a year since I cancelled my merchant account with United Bank Card. This doesn't seem to stop Harbortouch from continuing to try to bill me monthly fees and threaten to be sent to collections. I'm assuming Harbortouch bought UBC? Even though I cancelled with UBC, Harbortouch says I need to cancel with them even though I never signed anything with their company and my account was cancelled prior to their namechange or takeover. They keep saying I need to fill out a form they "will" email me but still never email me. I can see by the google results that this is happening to alot of small businesses. We all need to come together to fight this company and their fraudulent behavior with a class action lawsuit.

Bogus Charges

Authorizing Harbor-touch card processing service to withdraw money from your bank is equivalent to the fox guarding the hen house.
They should have a class action suit against them .It is a serious crime when someone take money falsely with made up and unauthorized charges .
Ever since I have informed them that I want to cancel their services they have been charging my account with many bogus charges that I have never seen all this years I had been with them.
Their come back was that If I stay with them ,they will refund the money.
This company should be exposed and it should be shut down.
