Dear Sir/Madam,
I am from Sri Lanka and was working in very senior positions. I have recently applied for a new job via career portals and I am 100% sure that I haven't registered myself with NowNaukri.com (http://www.nownaukri.com/) and has registered via only Naukri.com.
Today I have received a call from 00911166257600 at 10.56am on my number stating they are from Naukri.com. They have said that they have gone through my CV and there are companies interested and I was transferred to on Rajat Bhatia for a discussion. He has mentioned some few company names in Singapore and said that I can get a job there where I was asked to immediately remit Singapore Dollar 380 via online. Since I felt suspicious of their hurry to get the money remitted I have told them that I was travelling and had asked them to send me a mail with their details. They said that the number they have called is only for outgoing and therefore they will mention their Toll Free Number in their mail. Following I have pasted the mail they have sent where I have realised that they are from some company by the name of NowNaukri.com and not Naukri.com.
They have once again called me and was asking me to remit money via online. I have challenged them to first find me the job and then charge me the money. I strongly believe that this is a fraudulent activity where I am sure lot of other candidates are also getting caught to.
I have already made a complaint to Naukri.com and will write to the companies they have mentioned in Singapore for better focus on security.
Please take action on these groups immediately.
