John of L.J. Construction used my Company for Concrete Cutting and agreed to pay with a credit card, when we went to run the card he had closed the account, would not return phone calls to me to straighten out the problem. We were left holding the bag on $2,462.50 worth of labor we provided to John on his projects.

this is continue of my previous comment complaining about jlc construction , John chu the construction manager. he ows me $1500, for drywall and skim coat job.

our conversation was over phone and emails and texts, I did 3 days labor job with 3 of my other friends who I took them to the job so we could finish the job, the 3rd day his office called us and said to stop the job because they had some issue with the property owner, so I stopped working and we gather everything except the material that I bought for the job , he was suppose to pay me for the material and the labor .
I called him the next day he said that he needs to collect the money from owner and he will pay me in couple of days .
I didn't receive any check from him, I called him he didnt answer the phone , I texted him , he texted me back that he has sent the check on Monday which 9/28/15. and still I dont have the check, since then I've been trying to contact him and his not answering the phone, nor to my texts.

My name is Pedro Cedeno. My complaint is about Mr. John Chu of JLC Construction Inc. DBA L J Construction. I worked as a helper and clean up service for Mr. John Chu in the month of June, 2014. The first pay check I earned was for $320.00. Mr. John Chu was short on the pay check due to 2 unpaid days. He advised me that my monies would be on my next pay check. I agreed, cashed my check at the East West Bank and continued with my duties. Due to the unprofessional form that he takes care of paying employees, I advised him that I will no longer be working for him and would like my last payment. After calling him dozens of times, I finally got a hold of him. Mr. John Chu asked me to meet with him in his office on July 3, 2014. I agreed and met with him. Mr. John Chu wrote me a pay check of 5 days labor. The pay check is $440.00. Again, 2 more days in addition to the past 2 days where not paid. I asked him about my monies and he told me that he will pay me the following week. On Monday, July 7, 2014, I headed to the East West Bank in attempt to cash my pay check and was unable to receive my payment due to no funds in the account. I've called Mr. John Chu dozens of times requesting my monies and he has ignored my calls. I've left several voice mails and no return call. The total of monies owed is $760.00. I still have the bounced pay check along with pictures of my labor. I was told by the Bureau of Better Business to contact the Los Angeles Labor Commission.
