I have bought Kroger baked original oyster crackers in
in a box for several years. Never an issue. I had
a box recently that not only smelled but tasted
like paint. When I open a box I always put
the crackers in a zip lock bag and store
in a Tupperware container. Everything
smells strongly of paint. No we have not done any painting in our home but it's so strong I had
to throw out crackers and am airing out the
container outside and also have
baking soda in the container. The few oyster
crackers I saved in a ziplock baggie are still
so strong and smelling up the kitchen. I did
have another new box on hand of the same
crackers and they are fine.
