I went into the local Kroger at 965 north Hariston Road Georgia. When I was checking out my groceries, A bag of Pretzel was rung incorrectly. I let the cashier know that it was overpriced and the actual price was 2 for 4 dollars not 2 for 7 dollars. My 10 year old son ran to the isle it was in and returned with a marked sale item. The cashier said she had to send an associate to verifty the price, which she did. The associate was taking long and I told her I'd rather just pay for my accounted groceries which were about $100.00. She said she had to wait for the associate who was verifty price to return. I told her I no longer wanted the pretzels and to accept payment. She insisted I had to wait. I told her that not only did she not believe the item my son went and got was on sale but now she was making me wait. She said it was Policy. I asked to speak to the manager and he agreed that it was policy.. By this time 15 minutes later the associate came back with the pretzels and agreed it was on sale 2 for 4. I still didnot want the items. I didn't leave the cart full and walked out because it was groceries for my son's school since we were family of the week. Also, it had taken some time to walk up and down the isle and it was already Sunday at 3:00pm. I had to be at work by 7:00pm at the hospital. My son, husband and myself left with such a disappointed feeling. I told my husband we would start going to the new Walwart they opened accross the street. The manage did nothing to say the policy of verifying has to be done by an associate and therefore apologize for the inconvience. But at the time a person says she want's to leave, there should be no reason why she couldn't as was my case. With Walmart maketplace being opened all over town, Kroger should understand we have choices.
