I received a $25.00 AMC Gift Card from a friend for whom $25.00 was a lot of money for Christmas. The closest AMC theatre to me is over 50 miles away. I took the card back to Krogers within 10 days to exchange for a like value card closer to home - Troy, OH - and the store informs me that all sales of Gift Cards are final. No returns - no exchanges. I contacted Customer Service who informed me that I could take the card in with the receipt and exchange the card. I got the receipt from my friend and went back to the store. No luck. Now it was because I am the 3rd party. (It was a GIFT CARD - of course I am the 3rd party!) I again contacted Customer Service who now informs me that there is nothing that they can do as it is the store policy!

My friend cannot afford to throw away $25.00 and I cannot afford to drive over 50 miles to use a $25.00 gift card for a movie! This does not make sense at all especially for a company who clearly states that its #1 Priority is Customer Satisfaction. I realize this is something on the small side however it is pretty big to us! Shame on Krogers!!!
