Never heard back about Warranty Claim

About 3 years ago we purchased a 2 seater leather reclining sofa from Lastman'e Bad Boy in Toronto. Because the sofa cost $1500 we had some concerns with regards to wear and tear, we had already had a very bad experience with The Brick and did not want a repeat experience.

The salesman at the time went overboard to assure us that if we purchased the 5yr warrant, it would cover our main concerns which where: Leather tearing at the seams, Leather Pealing and fading, Machanical issues. So we paid extra for the 5 year waranty and cleaning kit.

Now we noticed that the seams have started to come apart and there is some fading eventhough we use the polish as suggested.

So I called Customer Service and the Representative advised me that as long as the tearing was within 2 weeks from the calim, they could fix it. However, they did not have a service person avaliable at our location to assess machanical issues (we have since moved from Toronto) and the sofa will have to be taken to the warehouse to get fixed and they could not guarantee when we would have it back!!!

When I asked if they offer a temporary sofa, they said no!!. When I asked if they were expecting customers to be without a sofa for months at a time, if that was how long it took them to fix it, the gentleman rudely replied that we would have to make our own arrangements for however long it took them to fix it.

Unfortuntely for us, the other issues of peeling and fading was NOT under warranty as we had been told at time of purchase, and they would not honour those damages. When I proceeded to ask WHY where we told otherwise, they CSR told me that the salesman at the time would have said that in order to make the sale.

Disgusted at this but not seeing as I had many options, I agreed to reply to the email he was going to send me, and provide pictures of the damage so they could assess them.

Well NO SURPRISE, that email never arrived. A day later I called again, and when I finally got through I was told that it had been sent to the wrong email address (cannot figure out why, because they had the correct email on the receipt on file) and they will send the email out again. Second email also NEVER arrived. Called a third time and finally a woman told me that the email her collegues supposedly sent out was not needed as she could simply give me the reference number over the telephone and all I had to do was write that down and send her pictures via the customer service email she would provide me. She only asked that I give her 48hrs to reply. I felt much more confident after this and positive that some resolution would finally be found.

Silly me for beliving in all these lies! A week later and 3 emails to the Customer Care, we have not heard ANYTHING from Lastma's Bad Boys.

I highly suspect that they are trying to let the 14 day claim period lapse and leave us with an unclaimable warranty. At wits end, I feel like our $1500 splurge has gone down the toilet. How can I get this company to realise that $1500 was a lot of money and we feel very angry and cheated.

Bonded Leather Couch Cracking

I purchased a new bonded leather couch last year with a 4 year extra warranty against cracking, rips, peeling. Couch is now peeeling. I called Badboy Nov 25 2014. They cam out to look at it the week after. hey contact me just before Christmas to inform me that they will call me the first week after the holidays to arrange a date for pick up a repair.Its now Jan 19 2015 and with may phone calls to their head office asking for action. Im still waiting. These guys keep promising me that someone would call me but still no phone call.

Next state of action from me will be small claims and New Papers.


Please DO NOT BUT FROM BADBOY. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!

bad costumer service

My complain is regarding the bad costumer service of the Lastman's Bad Boy
last year I purchase a set of pleather couch/ love seat and chair
and I was pushed and pushed to get the extended warranty for 5 years
in a matter of 4 month the love seat arm was completely ripped and the sofa had some kind of cuts
I called the costumer service they come and they checked it out apparently even the chair was defected so they told me that the set will picked up the love seat and the chair , after bringing these the sofa will be picked up
they pick up the love seat and the chair in JULY 3 or 4 after more than 50 phone call the love seat and chair was brought back to me in September ,and the sofa was picked up,,, but I had another problem the chair it was in a worst condition that they picked it up also the love seat had all the staples at the base out I cut my fingers trying to move it ,I called again 20 times
and in OCTOBER somebody called me to tell me that the sofa will be delivered in OCTOBER 7 and after explaining to them about the love seat and the chair,,, costumer service answer was when the sofa comes the chair will be picked up and somebody will come to fix the love seat
long story short
sofa came (still needs to go back) chair was picked up
I call them to see if and when my chair is coming is almost December,,, no answer IM STILL WAITING
THE WORST DECISION OF MINE WAS TO PURCHESE FROM BAD BOY
