Lincare of Lincare Holdings

I can't tell the whole story here.. not enough room.

In a recent telephone conversation, Lincare's respiratory tech told me she can't get a cushion for my BiPAP mask because their supplier in Florida cannot get it, and the respiratory tech informed me that she only has limited places from which she can requisition a mask.

During the same phone conversation, the respiratory tech transferred the call to her supervisor without notifying me the call was being transferred. Lincare's supervisor then came on the phone and offers to sell me the cushion for cash at a discount. Now does that make any sense?

How can Lincare's supervisor make an offer to sell for cash, a cushion for my BiPAP mask that they don't have, that their warehouse in Florida does not stock and that they cannot obtain anywhere? They're lying. Is it a scam? Sounds to me like two women are making deals under the table or skimming off the top. I wonder if they do other patients like this and does Corporate know about this modus operandi?

Lincare lied to my doctor and because of their lies, my doctor is now basically calling me a liar, over the fact that Lincare told him that I called them to tell them that I received all the CORRECT ITEMS, when in fact, the purpose of my phone call to Lincare was to notify them that they had sent the WRONG ITEMS.

Lincare also lied to my doctor, telling him that I was requesting "extra supplies" and that "I had done so in the past". I've never requested "extra supplies" from anyone because I know Medicaid will not pay for extra supplies and I certainly could not afford them on an SSI budget.

Lincare also lied when they claimed that my former supplier was writing off all my supplies. Can you imagine a Durable Equipment Company writing off thousands of dollars worth of equipment and supplies for one person? It never happened.

I have both, the supplies I've been using and the WRONG SUPPLIES LINCARE SENT if my doctor, Lincare staff, or anyone else would like to compare. Lincare recorded our telephone conversation. which will prove everything. Ask to hear it.

I need the correct cushion for my mask. I'm BiPAP dependent and use 8 liters of oxygen through the mask. I'm unable to breathe without the machine. I'm now facing serious physical injury or death due to the deceptive practices of Lincare who is in a position of trust to supply important medical equipment to vulnerable adults like myself.

I am suffering pain, terrible mental anguish, emotional stress, hurt, distress and I am being intentionally deprived of important medical equipment by Lincare, who has made a huge misrepresentation of material fact relating to services rendered, disposition of property and use of equipment that would benefit myself, a vulnerable adult.

With each passing day, the mask and other equipment deteriorates more and has come to a point where it is completely unusable, leaving me gasping for oxygen, deprivation of sleep, lack of companionship because I cannot speak to anyone, and I am forced to try and focus on breathing to try and stay out of the ICU. It's not fun being intubated, especially because of a company's ignorance, lack of compassion and intentional criminal negligence.

This company that calls itself Lincare, should be banned from doing business in the United States of America. I believe they cause more harm than good.

Receiving supplies

This company is supposed to provide oxygen supplies such as tubing, cannulas, humidifier bottles for the oxygen concentrator, as well as servicing the equipment supplied by them. Over the course of 8 months, I have placed 8 monthly orders for 3 items needed each month for my oxygen concentrator, however, out of 8 orders, only one shipment came to me correctly. When I called them to inform them about the problem, I find out they have no stock. Generally it may take a few calls before I am able to reach them. They have various taped messages which tells you to try again later, that the person you are trying to reach is unavailable at that time (even though they have no idea who you want to speak with). The staff lies about sending items out over and over again. They are rude and will put you on hold for up to 20 minutes, then disconnect your call. The supervisor is also rude and tries to be intimidating. I am going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. One driver who was on his way to service my machine told me on the phone to turn up my concentrator from 2 liter to 4 liters until he arrived at my home, since I sounded out of breath. A normal 15 minute drive took 2 hours and 20 minutes. I later found out from my physician that telling me to up the 2liter to 4liter was illegal, since that setting was a prescription and only my doctor has the legal right to adjust the concentration. Another service driver came to replace a filter on the machine , but installed it backwards, so another call was needed. This is the worse company I have ever dealt with in my 72 years. The problem: I need oxygen for my life!
