Yes, we all want get product with as little money as possible. The problem is Listia is a modern day ROBIN HOOD and a scammer. I have been researching Listia, too late but it appears the operate out of the Middle East, their goal is to rob, steal con hard working Americans of their belongings and cash. Listia literally steals sellers credits worth over $200,000 and up without warning, they also steal from some buyers, but more frequently target and watch sellers. They have no customer service phone or email, they have a robotic website wraparound to hide their location. The fake location in CA is a drop box.

Listia demanded I list my belonging including jewelry and suggest not to spend your credits until it reaches a large number, from 200,000 to 1,900,000 I was hoping to get some items, then without reason or warning after 3 yrs on Listia my account was cancelled with no refund of $955,300 credits This does not include 50000 TV and other items stolen before the cancellation.

Listia boldly extort more goods after suspension, stole my merchandise, conned me out of 955,300 sellers product/merchandise with promises of reinstatement (sales which occurs days or hrs minutes of the cancellation. Upon their confirmation of USPS Package in the US MAIL they steal the credits 955,300 permanently close your account. They pull the plug against the unsuspecting seller after they had the goods. I have 2 emails to prove my statement of Listia extortion and promises.

I am now out of my personal belonging, nothing to show for it because listia promised to grant me credits-cash for my merchandise then cancel my account and with $1,155,300 credits.
I had bought a TV 2 wks before Listia cancelled my account, after the suspension Listia email me that the TV was in route to me, its been weeks the TV did not arrive, One attorney advised filing THIEF CHARGES AGAINST Listia.

there were people (3-4 yrs ago) saying listia is not scam and got items, but when it was just months ago, all got suspended

but listia can read your mail, read all messages and even when you won item, the blue email area

I have auctions running as well as a large amount of credits in my account and am in good standing. All of a sudden I can not log in. The login page comes up, blanks, and the word 'false' appears.

This site is badly administered by a group of moderators who have little or no sense of logic, or fairness. Sellers are allowed to auction things which are totally unusable, with no penalty. Support requests are often ignored, or can take as long as 10 days to be reiognized. After over a year on this site, I have concluded that it is easier, less frustrating, and ultimately, less expensive to simply purchase those items I need or desire. Don't waste your time!

The moderators are a joke! The one they have authenticating the purses don't know real from fake! Support tickets are useless! They allow minors to open accounts and rip people off! They allow copyright infringement! They have there pets and let them break the rules yet hold the true honest sellers to strict guidelines! Lots of good honest, rule following sellers are leaving, soon it will be nothing but scammers, minors and the ones that "order your product after the auction ends" (a select few pets they have get to do this) on there. A nice recent change they made in the rules is this one: you can sell pez with candy (although anything edible isn't allowed) but pez w/candy is an exception because it's collectible..well there are people that collect candy bar wrappers and such..there not allowed and heaven forbid some child eats some tainted pez candy..Listia could be in for some big trouble. I feel some kind of class action lawsuit coming against Listia for discrimination, copyright infringement or such as soon as someone gets fed up enough to get a good attorney!

I recently won an item that arrived broken and unrepairable. I paid the seller $5.50 to ship it. I disputed the auction, and did receive my points back, BUT with the stipulation that I return the item to seller at my own expense, with delivery confirmation. Total cost to me would have been $13.50 for a bad experience. The moderators administer the site both unprofessionally and arbitrarily. Support requests are often ignored, or unnecessarily delayed. To date, my request to close my account has been totally ignored
I have found that given the time it takes to bid, the amounts spent on postage one way or the other, and the sheer amount of junk I have received, that I am financially better off by simply purchasing items that I want or need. Don't waste your time on this site!

Well I bid on several auctions and never won. What got me is when I had a maximum bid of 1109 and the item sold to SOMEONE ELSE at 578. It said I was out bid. I put in only 1 bid and put my maximum price because I knew it would bid up to that for me automatically. I contacted customer support with no response. 6 emails later and they will not return any emails. I cant close my account...I have 6 auctions that I tried to delete but finally gave up and said on my auctions what was going on and not to bid and no item will be sent. This is the WORST website EVER!!! I even signed up for their bonus programs to get "free" credits and never got them but have contracts now with columbia house dvd, and several book clubs but still no credits. GARBAGE!!!

My experience is worst. My first 6 auction won. 4 already are in dispute. People just either don't respond or they say they don't have the money to ship the item. And they will send it whenever they got money in the bank. Don't use this site. There are plenty of fraudulent activities going on. Auction people with no integrity.
