Ordered concert tickets from TicketNetwork.com a couple months ago. A couple weeks ago, we started receiving magazine subscriptions out of nowhere. 1) Rolling Stone is in my name (same name I used through TicketNetwork). 2) Redbook is addressed to my husband's office with home address, and 3)Midwest Living is addressed to his old work address! Where did they even get this info? Creepy.

Went to Rolling Stone's website which was helpful - told me what numbers from the mailing label to enter, and it said the subscription was started through M2 Media Group and gave the number. Called the number, and it has scam written all over it. It's a recording that tells you to "Press 2," etc., but it doesn't register when you push any button. She just keeps talking and talking, spelling out the email and mailing addresses. I went to https://cancelmag.com and entered my info. It found my record and let me cancel. We'll see. It couldn't find my husband's record but gave me a form to fill out to cancel. The phone recording and website insist, "There are no hidden costs, further obligations, or automatic renewals associated with your subscription. Your credit card information was not passed to us." Would I like Rolling Stone for free? Sure! But when it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.
