We purchased a mattress from Macy's with a worrynomore policy three years ago. Unfortunately, we had a spill accident on the bed. Back on November 16 we contacted Macy's and made a claim. Macy's in turn referred us to your company and we begin a claims process. Your organization was most prompt in getting us a referral to your agent All Furniture Services. We had a bit of a wait in scheduling with All Furniture Services but their technician finally arrived on 11/26. He told me he would be able to clean the stain and proceeded to work on the mattress. When he left the mattress was wet, he claimed it was just damp but it took some 32 hours for the mattress to feel dry to touch. When it did dry the stain was now twice the size and their was an odor that had not been present originally.

I recontacted Macy's after the Thanksgiving Holiday Weekend on December 1st. I was advised to contact All Furnitures directly. There was a bit of difficulty here as they did not yet have the information from the tech in the system but told me they would be back to me shortly. On December 6 having not heard from them, I emailed and called. I was subsequently advised that they would resend tech and mattresses were seldom replaced for stains because all mattresses have stains and if that was the case then everyone would want a new mattress???

The tech returned on 12/12. He was not happy to be back and suggested that we were responsible for the increase in the stain size and he was bit short with me. After speaking to his office he told me that he would reclean the mattress. He called me upstairs to show me the mattress before he left and the fumes from the cleaning solution he used were so strong that my eyes burned. I questioned him about what he used and asked if he was also not overcome with the fumes. He told me that he used a Bissell Cleaning Solution. I told him it smelled toxic and was heavy with chlorine and/or bleach. He then showed me the product he used. The mattress was wet when he finished but he assured me that it would be dry in a couple of hours. We had to open the windows in the bedroom and throughout the second floor in an attempt to air out the fumes from the cleaning.

On Dec 13, I advised All Furniture Service in writing (attachment A) about the odor, the residue and the stain they have not yet contacted me. Further the odor still is present and overpowering. We have left the fan on and had a window open for five days to no avail. The mattress has unfortunately been permanently damaged and we have been egregiously inconvenienced and my son has been displaced from his room. The odor is so strong that he has had to relocate all of his clothes and sleep on our sofa for a month now.

I wrote letter to Worry No More and Macy's called Macy's and was told that my issue was with Worry No More so there was nothing they could do to help me and suggested I try to get a supervisor on the phone...yikes....off to Better Business and after that small claims because at this point it is a matter exposing the program and Macy's as fraudulent...
