I am a loyer customer at belk. I love to shop. And belk always have good sale on loathing, make up and bags, jewelry.etc.. so I constantly shop there. Almost once a week. But there is once afternoon of May it’s was Sunday, they have special clearance. And I was shopping away. Running too late till they are closed. Then I payid all my shopping after a long wait at the register. Then I saw a man putting thing up on the rack and there is a cute dress that he just hang up but it’s only cost $11.45 . So I ask to have that dress. Then I walk off to go pay for it but then my mom, and my daughter keep calling me because they was eating for me outside dillards( now has been closed) and my mother in law( who has altzhimer) wants to go to restroom. So I start get frustrate. Somehow I got distract and put the dress in my bag without knowing. And I was til right there with the man and asked him will he let me out. So he saw the whole incident, then already call some one to come behind me in the purpose of arresting me. Then he said to me that he can let me out. Soon as I step my foot out of the doors the other man said I had stole some thing. That when I realize what I did. So I tried to explain myself to him that I’m having problem of anxiety disorder , insomemia. Cause me to be distract sometimes. Instead of him friendly remind me that I have not paid for the dress( which cost $11.96 plus clearance discount) because I did it right there in front of him. I did not meant to steal that dress. He planning for someone to arrested me, and wants to bend me from go shopping at belk for 5 years. I think he just don’t care about belk business. And I have never have any of crime record. And for being convicted for misdermeanor for a dress that cost less than 10.00 dolarrds and not allow to shop at my favorite shopping place is not fair for me.
