Yup, I too was conned out of R15600, by Shon, at Menlyn Park Obey Your Body, in February of 2015. Was told it will go off in 12 installments, as the facials and products will be for 2 Years. The whole amount went off my bank account, I even phoned my bank and there was nothing they could do. I even returned the products and was told by Pedro, that I will be refunded the next week, because they do not do refunds on a Saturday.....Needeless to say, I am still waiting. I even obtained an e-mail address. I was told the owners are from some tropical Island and that they do not normally return all the money, but maybe a persentage, but after a while, no more response.

I had a similar experience at the Menlyn Shopping Centre in Pretoria, South Africa. My con man was called Antonio - he said he was Italian and had been especially selected to come to SA to prove that complaints against Obey Your Body were unfounded. I too allowed myself to be bamboozled into spending R6000 (a very special price according to Antonio as the products would normally cost R10 000). I can usually spot a con a mile off but these "sales attacks" are beyond words. I had the Twinned Synergy (the box included the Wrinkle-Correcting Eye Cream, Collagen-Restoration Capsules, and Youth-Infusion Eye Serum), the Porcelain Instant Face Mask, and the Age-Defying Lifting Serum hoisted upon me. As a parting gift, I was given the Overnight Restorative Cream and 2 Hydrating Hand and Body lotions - probably to soothe his conscience if he has one. I definitely think hypnotism is involved because as soon as I left the shop I knew I had made a stupid mistake. Antonio cleverly got me to write on the boxes of the products I bought so that they could not be returned and my money refunded.

Spend thousands on products. Contract is for exhange of empty containers for new products. No shop in Menlyn anymore

I spent over R10,000 at the store in Fourways Mall, only later to realise that I could purchase the exact same products on Zando for a fraction of the cost. I know I will never get my money back, but this cannot be right.



Heart-broken to say the least... I had taken time to save up that money and I'll never get it back.

I have never been so out witted and dumb... obey your body should leave and go back to isreal and what breaks my heart more is these products are 5times cheaper then these con artist sell them for. I was at the mall with my son and this man his name Tal appeared and totally hipponotised me into buying a product what he lied about was I would be debited on a 12 month basis and that cash was taken once off. Now if that isn't fraud please in light me on what fraud is. These dam men and wemon should take the 1st plane back. Where are our consumer rights

Well besides feeling like a complete tool for believing the insanely over the top sales pitch, nothing is ever that good.

The manner in which the salesman forced these products on me was very clever! I was basically rushed into paying (after trying to leave on 2-3 occasions) I ended up spending ZAR2200 on products for my wife that she wouldn't have ever wanted anyway.
This supposedly two year supply of dead sea ''miracle'' body scrub and body moisturiser sells for much less at other stores around the country or online, so much for the amazing deal he was offering.
Mr Tal, lead me to believe they had a ''special'' running on the day and I was getting a 40% discount on a two for one deal - 4 small tubs that will probably be a three month supply at best.

As I said I'm the idiot for buying the stuff but do yourselves a favour and stay clear of these people. Oh and note to one self they do not refund, only exchange so too bad if you want to return an unwanted gift.

I have a complaint about Atalya at North-gate Centre in Johannesburg!! I was busy doing shopping and I saw my husband with Atalya, telling him about your product, Obey your body! In respect I've got no problem with your product, I think its a very good product. My husband paid for a day cream, serum and line remover R9000.00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! On Monday 20 August I phoned Vaughn in Cape Town and he told me that we were totally ripped of by Lady Atalya. She is apparently now in Botswana but I don't know when will she be back to give her her products back and I want my money back, but she doesn't reply on my emails or phone calls!!!
I think people like ATALYA does a company more harm than good!!! Can anybody of this company tell me what to do next???
