OROGOLD

I visited this store in Bramalea City Centre, Brampton, Ontario in early January 2020. The pleasant, young man, Oran, was giving out a free sample outside of this glitzy and overpriced (I found out) cosmetic store in this mall. The products are totally overpriced. I looked up the Better Business Website, to see if there were any complaints about OROGOLD and/or Zero Gravity products.. They had many, may complaints and got an "F" for "failed" from the Better Business Bureau in Ontario. Buyer beware. The sales tactics are extremely aggressive and after I got home, I felt victimized. I told this man and his manager, Rowan, multiple times that I could not afford these expensive products. I am physically disabled and on a retirement income. Rowan said "Am I taking food from your table?" This is unacceptable. I have cancelled this credit card and I am concerned that they will put through more purchases on this card without my permission. I telephoned the Canadian Protection Agency and I was requested to write to the head office to see what they say. If they will not give me a refund, I can make an official complaint to the Canadian Protection Agency for "unfair business practices" as I get telling them that I could not afford these products. My bill was over $5,000. I am not a stupid consumer and I feel that I was scammed out of my money. Do not go to this store. Tell your friends and family members that they should not go to this store. I was under intense pressure to buy in a room in the back of the store, in front of no one else, with the manager for over 1 and 1/2 hours. Beware, If you live in Canada and have bought products from this store at highly inflated prices, contact them to see if you can return them. If not, consider calling the Canadian Protection Agency for your rights. If you've bought from this store, consider cancelling your visa card (whatever use used to make these purchases) so this company cannot make any more charges. This needs to be a class action lawsuit I think, against this company for their unfair business practices, in my opinion. I will probably take them to small claims court.

Aggressive sales

I have a serious complaint concerning the Oro Gold store in the Bramalea City Center.  Very aggressive sales people.   Got drawn into the store by a free sample ...listened to them explain and show me a product. .. did decide to purchase buy one get one free even though it was expensive. .paid and going to leave.  Well now wanted to introduce me to the boss .. who was only there today as he travelled alot...wanted to show me a great deal that only he can give..  said I was in a hurry. . Said it would only take 10 minutes.  Took me into a back room where they did facials. . It was narrow and not well lit.. asked me to sit in a corner. .boss sat in front of me and the sales person beside me.  Felt intimidated now.... Trying to sell me the Zero Gravity Profectio device.. told them I could not afford and needed to speak to my family. . Did not let up wanting me to buy.  Felt trapped... they said I could put small down payment and and finance.  I finally agreed thinking I had no other choice in order to leave and would return the device as the boss did say I had 30 days to return.   They put the receipts in a closed envelope... reminded me I had 30 days to return.  Went back to return. .. cannot return. . Have to call head office to get approval.   I sent email as requested, explaining what happened . Finally after  a week or more of calling and sending emails ... I was refused my refund by the C.E. O. claiming "Buyers Remorse. What do I  do now??  Cost is over $5000.00 .. because of how I was treated do not want to have any thing to do with Oro Gold. .. I might have come back if they had let just try the cosmetics I bought first. Why.. why were they so desperate to have me purchase such an expensive device? ??????

I was pressured to buy and told I was being given a significant discount only to realize they were charging me over $2000. The products have been making me break out . I only purchased them a few weeks ago and assumed I could return only to realize it says "No returns" I never would have bought these products....is there any recourse I can take?!!

Orogold Deception

My wife visited the Forum at Ceasers on May 13 2017 and was hustled outside of the Oro Gold shop. She was sold $645.66 worth of product which she paid for with her credit card. She was told that she would be sent a duplicate amount of product free of charge. They requested her mailing address, which she gave them, to send this free product. They never sent the duplicate order but instead sent a large box that contained a large amount of product along with an unsigned credit card slip indicating a $4973.82 charge.
Their Customer Service person insists that it is a legitimate sale and tells me that if we send it back they will refuse delivery. I am working with the credit card company / bank to see what can be done but no help so far.
These people are crooks and need to be exposed.

Orogold's hard sell/Pensioners

My friend and I were victims of Orogold in London in June 2017 as follows:-

We are both retired ladies living on small pensions having a day out in London to celebrate my birthday. We were walking towards St Christopher Place to our restaurant for lunch when we were offered some samples of Orogold; we were asked “what eyecream we use”. We said we were in a hurry and may see them on the way back. Sure enough they were waiting for us and lured us into their little shop. They then sat us down and pointed out our lines/wrinkles and that this Orogold cream/serum would do wonders for us, giving us both the hard sell; saying this product is used instead of botox and is used by filmstars and celebrities. I said we’re ladies on low incomes, and I felt under considerable pressure and walked out of the shop. My friend got sucked into this brainwashing and felt compelled to buy. They told her the product was normally £318 but “its on special today for £159”. Next thing she knew they literally put the machine in front of her nose to tap in her pin. After which they insisted she buy another product – again another £159. The assistant convinced her how badly she needed these products and even tried to sell her another £300 of other products. My friend felt like she was being held hostage and in order to get away she was forced to buy. She had parted with £319 which she cannot afford as she lives on the state pension.

When we got home and read the reviews of similar experiences of other people we were furious. The creams do not work for her and have done nothing for her skin whatsoever. My friend has tried emailing, leaving messages on their answer phone, all to no avail. She is desperate to get a refund as these products are a complete waste of money for her. Also the products are so much cheaper on Amazon. Since then my friend has been having sleepless nights and feeling depressed of how she was duped out of this very large amount of money. At the moment she is pursuing a refund with her credit card company. This selling should not be allowed particularly targeting pensioners on low incomes.

I had been in London on a day off and I was stopped in the street by this man who stated that he was the manager and bragged he had lots of celebrity clients ,but told me not to discuss them showing me pictures of them on his phone ,same pattern what products do you use what price do you put on your skin how long have you lived in London you can afford it, also he tried to get me spend nearly £700 I was not going to do it same trick with scrubbing my hand , then removing dirt telling me that you can't but cream on hands that are not exfoliated if the product is so good why the hard sell very pushy offering me free products giving me a free facial , he is a good sales man but a shister stay away from this company or go in with a large wallet/purse and a open mind .

Small claims court

I agree completely with the comments made on this board. I was duped out of $10,000.00. I was later able to receive a full refund after filing in the small claims court in SF. The company does not want to go to court. Orogold settled before the court day.

Good luck everyone!

Orogold unethical sales

My friend and I got pulled in to an Orogold at rhe mall so they could show us a product briefly. I thought, well, it wouldn't hurt to try it out and maybe come back after dropping off our bags at the car if we didn't have any reactions and a quick online search didn't raise any red flags. The salesperson was very insistent about not letting us leave, and it can be very hard to be rude to someone who seems nice. Then during the rest of the demo, they began insulting my friend by pointing out supposed flaws. They were very pushy, saying things like "these two for $250", "I'll give you 30% off", "and this for free", "oh but you need this", and that we didn't have to worry about allergic reactions because reasons and that we would be able to return it after trying it for 30 days if we didn't like it. They even flashed through a website about the product and the "dermatologist" selling it. It's not 100% safe, gold is an allergen on it's own! I thought if it was not too expensive I could by my friend a gift for helping me out, and I went up to the register. My friend got nervous and ran out to do some double checking. The sales person grabbed my card quickly and set it aside which I thought would be okay because she hadn't rung anything up yet. As she was bringing up the total, no 30% off, extra items she insisted I needed, only one of which was "free", I got a call from my friend telling me to run because it was a scam. I told the sales person to stop the transaction and give me back my card, that I had change my mind and I had to leave now, but she refused to give me back my card, said she had already charged it, and while I was asking to speak with a manager, I WATCHED HER PUT MY CARD INTO THE CHIP READER TO ACTUALLY CHARGE ME AFTER I INSISTED THAT SHE STOP. I probably should have ran out of the store when my friend called and reported my card as lost/stolen. I kept insisting to see a manager or have her halt/refund the transaction as she began saying there were only exchanges and no refunds and something about how she'd get in trouble for offering free products, discounts, or to not go through with the transaction because she was on camera, and that her phone had died so she couldn't check when the manager would be back. There was another employee who ignored us, but I'm betting his phone had "just died" too. She forced me to take the products I no longer wanted and sign the receipt before finally allowing me to leave. I would have left the products there but then I wouldn't have evidence or anything to return. I called my credit card company immediately, and they have me calling the Orogold Customer Service line, which goes to voicemail. I'm not expecting a call back at this point and will try going back to the store to complain and return the completely untouched products. My credit card company did say that if Orogold refuses to cancel it or if the charge goes through, they will help me dispute it. But I will have to see how that turns out.

Orogold

Orogold can't be trusted anywhere in the world. How is this company not close down yet with such unethical practices? The sellers and manager were all very pushy and they took my card right out of my hand while I was still considering to buy their products. RUDE! It felt like I didn't have an option to say no and I felt embarrassed to. And also I don't think their products is worth their price. I could get a similar product for the face peel for only $2 at daiso. I only did my research right after I bought their products. The face peel is made of similar ingredients in glue, and can appear like dead skin when rubbed away. It does exfoliate your skin so it is still useful in a sense but I rather buy a $2 face peel than a $180 one. Also gold doesn't even do anything for your skin. I wish I did my research before buying. Please don't be like me who wasted $400 on them when I can get similar products for less.

Orogold Cosmetics Scam

I passed an Orogold store in San Francisco while traveling there on business. Two sales people stood outside dangling samples. When I reached for one, I was pulled into the store saying it will just take a second. It didn't. The sales person didn't let go of the bag, which contains a puny sample, and used my grip on it to bring me into the store. (Unethical practice #1: Displaying samples to consumers as free/no obligation but denying without purchase or obligation of listening to sales pitch.)

Three days later, I'm still wasting time on this company and it's not over. I was suckered into their strong-arm tactics which took advantage of my haste. The Orogold sales people kept putting products into the bag telling me they were giving me special, "only-for-you, half-off discounts." Returning to the hotel that evening, my face was irritated so I took a closer look at the ingredients. Despite the fact I said I had sensitive skin, some of the products contained an allergen. (Unethical practice #2: Hasty selling without listening to consumer concerns.)

I then looked at the receipt and saw the "NO REFUNDS--EXCHANGES ONLY WITHIN 30 DAYS" notice at the bottom. This had never been stated by either of the two Orogold sales assistants at the time of the sale. (Unethical practice #3: Not telling consumers the no refunds/exchanges policy at the time of sale.)

Checking online, I learned about Orogold's shady, pushy salesmanship and the fact you can only exchange at the SAME store. Since I was leaving California the next day, I called Customer Service the next morning for advice. Inna told me she would file an exception report and advised me to go to the store to return the product. She also told me there was a sensitive skin line, a fact the salespeople never shared even though I told them I had sensitive skin. (Unethical practice #4: Withholding facts from consumers to make a sale.)

At great inconvenience, I drove into the city on my way to the airport. I had to explain the situation to all three Orogold sales people, the third one being the one who originally sold me the product. He made excuses, took out the two products containing the allergen, threw something else in my bag, told me to try everything, and said he'd ship me another sensitive skin product to make up for one of the two I returned. When I told him I couldn't return the products if I ended up being dissatisfied after I returned to my home state, he pointed to the "NO REFUNDS" sign. How could I have missed it? I thought back to the previous day and remembered: The two sales assistants working with me that day kept leaning and lingering in front of that sign. (Unethical practice #5: Deliberately obscuring signage from consumers.)

What a scam! Fortunately, my credit card company flagged the charges as fraud so I called them and am disputing the charges. This company needs to be exposed for its unethical practices and put out of business if it doesn't change. Please do something to protect consumers from Orogold and its unethical sales practices!

Sales tactics

The tecniques of sale people are barabrous once you reach out for a sample they grab your arm and pull you inside. Once the sales person realized I was not falling for her sales pitch her attitude changed. Could not explain how the product works on someone of color with severe oily or dry skin said it would make me look younger I got the heck out of that store I don't even walk in front of that store anymore loc in Tampa,Florida Recency Mall/Brandon Mall.

Orogold Cosmetics Unethical at best

On 9/9/2015, I purchased skin care products from Talla at the subject store when I visited London from Oregon. She assured me that the product was returnable for refund at any time should I not be satisfied with it for any reason. After the facial given by Talla, I left the store. When able to see in natural light, I noticed the product caused some reddening of my skin. I was not satisfied and went to return the product unused and unopened within an hour of purchasing. Talla then said there was a no return policy that she "forgot" to mention, offered me additional product and a tester to try over night, but told me that she personally would meet me and refund my credit card the next morning if I were still unsatisfied. I tried the tester over night as she suggested, and it caused my skin to be itchy. When I got to the store the next morning, Talla was not there. I was met by the store's regional manager who also offered more product and insisted that I try the product for 30 days, at which point he said I would be given my refund if I remained unhappy with their product. I explained to him that this was not what Talla and I had agreed to and that I had no reason to try a product for 30 days if it was already an irritant to my skin in less than one. I also asked him how he could guarantee that I'd get my refund in 30 days with returning opened and used product when I couldn't get it in one day with returning unopened and unused product. I told him the product was faulty for my skin, and I could not use it. I told him I could not accept the product and that I would be working with my bank to dispute the charges. I was refused a return receipt.
I am still working with my bank trying to recover my refund. I have also contacted my state attorney general to assist me with this.

Refund

The store at Tanger outlets in Foxwoods opened 11/29/15. I went in and the manager was very pleasant. I purchased eye cream then I was influenced into buying more. As a result I bought $2100 of skin care products. I went home and my husband was furious that I bought $2100 of skin care and he said AmaZon and eBay is selling cheaper. I noticed that there was no NO REFUNDS on the store.
I am trying to return and get my money back but to no avail. The store just opened in that location and I was not told there is no refunds if I decided to return them. Most high end stores have a rerun and refund policy and I do not think this is fair for the consumers to not be able to get a refund.

Bait and Switch

I had a rather pleasant experience. Yes the salesmen, well the manager from the Santa Ana Main Place Mall, CA store was very pushy, however the sales tech was nice. Everything seemed to be going well and then the manager asked if I had been told the price. I said “No.” He replied “We just opened a store in La Jolla, so the Syringe is $199 and Eye Serum is $199. I give you the product for $149.00 each and give you the Deep Peel.” not mentioning the price. I told them that I would continue my shopping and come back. They guy again repeated his deal and said “We opened a store in San Diego; we got lots of money I give you each for $149.00 and the peel. I said “Ok.”

The salesman who pulled me into the store was ringing up my sale. The manager looked into the bag on the counter and pulled the Eye Serum out of the bag and took it into the back and came back and put it in the bag. I asked the salesman “What was that, why did he take the product and bring it back?” The salesman looked at me surprised that I asked. He replied “I grabbed the wrong product.” I thought to myself “yea he’s giving me older product because he knocked so much off.” Right then I knew I was returning the product due to the exchange of the product.

When I got home I looked at the receipt and I was charged $150, not $149 as the manager had stated, it’s the point, not the $1.00 difference. Seeing the incredible markup a $318.00 product for $150.00, $248.00 product for $150.00, $108.00 product for 0.00 and since I used my Amex I was entitled to discount I got a $198.00 product for $85.00. $872.00 of product for $385.00 and it is a year’s worth of application. Yea, that just seems too incredible, especially if the product really works. Which lead me to believe my thought in the store they unloaded older product, hence the switch of one of the products. I am returning the product, I have seven days.

OROGOLD

The product did not work for me. I used for 2 to 3 weeks tried to return before the 30 days were up because it was not working for my skin so I tried to take it back and the store was open but no was there I arrived at 430p I later learned from customer service in the mall that they close at 5pm but no one was there at 430p I tried to take it back a 2nd time they told me to speak to the person I bought it from and he was not in the store at the time. So I I went back a 3rd time and the guy was there that I purchased it from and I tried to return with him before the 30 days told it did not work for my skin and I want my money back he tried to upsell me on more products and wouldn't return for my money back. He said to give product more time so I gave another week went back to store tried to return they acted like they were then said they don't want to mess with the person money who sold me the product. So I called the customer service number on the business card and there I learned that there is a no refund policy only the exchange of products. This really made me furious because that's the first time I'd ever heard this! They said there was a sign in the store but I saw no sign when I was in store. If I knew I would have never purchased. I just want my money back I purchased 08/2015

OH MY They GOT ME

I have read enough to see the thread, and know I'm part of it. My experience was exactly the same as all the others I've read. A young woman standing in the doorway of the store giving out samples. I've walked by and thought a sample so I said okay. As I reached out to take them she took my hand and said "come with me, I just want to show you something". The next thing I knew I was sitting in a chair, She was telling me how young I looked and how nice my skin was. She ask me which skin products I was using and I said "Lancôme or L'Oreal", which I have been using for year with no complaints. She asked me if I was married, and I said no. Then she started saying that while my skin was very youthful, she could show me some products that would keep it that way so I would attract a man. She said that my face was the most important thing to spend my money on because people always notice your face…they don't notice your clothes. I told her I was happy with the products that I use, and that I can't afford expensive products. I thought I looked great for my age as most people think I'm at least 10 years younger. She started asking me how much I spent on clothes and telling me that I needed to consider how much I spent on my face because her products would take my wrinkles away. I said I didn't think I had very many wrinkles, and then she began to tell me that I had all kinds of wrinkles and uneven skin tone, but if I started treating them now I could stop them from getting worse. She started with the serum under my eye, I didn't see much of a difference and honest I did not, but according to her yes. . Then the pressure to sell me these products began. I said I couldn't afford it, and she began adding more and more products, saying they had a promotion that day, and I was so lucky because I was going to get all for my money. It was 1078.56.00 and I don't know why but I found myself agreeing to buy them. She did write down the steps on how to apply/use the product and even add at no cost a free facial. The nightmare began again as she introduce me to the Skincare Specialist and he began to try and convince me how badly I needed this product. Again as I assured him I had spent enough money, he began throwing in a bunch of other products telling me how beautiful I was and that I was such a nice person, he wanted to give me all these free products so I would consider taking the mask and activation serum. My head was spinning, and I felt like a hostage. I didn't seem to know how to get out of there. The next thing I know I'm agreeing to spend another 1069.99.00 with the manager explaining that because I was such a nice person he would allow me to make an agreement to pay it in instalments of 3. Now I'm signing an agreement that was nothing more than my name address and card no., with a signature. As I was signing more products were being added as they talk to each other about how the sales woman would need to be sure to e-mail me all the instructions. Finally I was let go, and I mean let go, because I really felt like I was helpless. I was even assisted with my bag to the car by the skincare specialist that wanted to make sure that I was safe with my packages. I started feeling sick about it all but the mall was closing and I just needed to get something to eat. When I got home I started looking at all these boxes of stuff and began to read the ingredients. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I had told her that I had very sensitive skin and only used natural products, and she had assured me that they were so natural they didn't even ask people if they had any allergies because they could guarantee that there were no ingredients that anyone could be allergic to. I was horrified. I call and stated to the sales person my skin is have a very bad reaction to the product and that I wanted a refund and to my surprise she mention that I will only be able to get an exchange. . I thought I was going to be sick to my stomach. I was going to have to go back in that store. I decided to look up the company online to check it out because now I knew I had been misled and even lied to. I went to the website and saw the words "no refunds. Then I started looking up complaints and I found many, all with the very same story, almost to a T. I looked at my receipts and to my surprise it states NO REFUND but only EXCHANGES. Of cause the sales person not even once mention that there are NO REFUNDS all products are FINAL SALES, but there wasn't anything signage at the store stating no refunds. I even call my credit card company and explain the entire story to them and hopefully they could assist me in getting a refund. BTW after feeling sick to my stomach because I felt scam I return to the store and spoke to the sales rep and related to him that I read online that this company is a scam and he reassured me that it was fault advertising. At the same time I ask for the second transaction receipt “the skincare specialist informs that it was in one of the bags, to my surprise it was not. They gave me products I didn't ask for, they mislead me into believing that their products were FDA approved (not in Canada), that the products were natural and safe for anyone, that they were free of any chemicals but they aren't, they pressured me into buying products when I clearly stated that I couldn't afford it…I learned from this experience and they're about to learn a few things themselves. I will sue them if I have to. I will be reporting them to the mall owner, writing the newspaper, calling the TV station, and the Police if it's necessary. I hope people keep sharing their stories and we can all see them put out of business. I have never seen a store with such unethical practices.
I just want a refund for both transaction and letting them know that they sales techniques are unethical.

Oh No!
I have read enough to see the thread, and know I'm part of it. My experience was exactly the same as all the others I've read. A young woman standing in the doorway of the store giving out samples. I've walked by and ignored them may times, but I was with my teen daughter, and I knew she would like a sample so I said okay. As I reached out to take them she took my hand and said "come with me, I just want to show you something". She asked if we were sisters, lol. I'm 51 and my daughters 15. The next thing I knew I was sitting in a chair, my daughter across from me, and the woman was putting this peel on my arm. She was telling me how young I looked and how nice my skin was. She removed the peel and asked us if we could see how much of a difference there was. We both agreed that my arm was soft, but no softer than it would be if I had used my own scrub. She asked me if I was married, and I said no. Then she started saying that while my skin was very youthful, she could show me some products that would keep it that way so I would attract a man. She said that my face was the most important thing to spend my money on because people always notice your face…they don't notice your clothes. Then the pressure to sell me these products began. I said I couldn't afford it, and she began adding more and more products, saying they had a promotion that day, and I was so lucky because I was going to get al to for my money. It was 500.00 and I don't know why but I found myself agreeing to buy them. We left, and then I realized that she had forgotten to give me the instructions on how to use them, as she had said she would. Sadly we returned, and again I found myself sitting in a chair thinking I was just waiting to get the instructions when she suddenly started putting a thick mask down the side of my mouth. She just wanted to show me one more thing before I left. While we sat a couple of minutes waiting it to do what she said it was going to do, she went on and on about how I really needed to see what a big difference this would make on the wrinkle there. When she removed it, it did seem to have made a real improvement, and my daughter and I were really impressed. The nightmare began again as she began to try and convince me how badly I needed this product. Again as I assured her I had spent enough money, she began throwing in a bunch of other products telling me how beautiful I was and that I was such a nice person, she wanted to give me all these free products so I would consider taking the mask and activation serum. My head was spinning, and I felt like a hostage. I didn't seem to know how to get out of there. The next thing I know I'm agreeing to spend another 1500.00 with the manager explaining that because I was such a nice person she would allow me to make an agreement to pay it in instalments of 3. Now I'm signing an agreement that was nothing more than my name address and card no., with a signature. As I was signing more products were being added as they talk to each other about how the sales woman would need to be sure to e-mail me all the instructions. Finally we were let go, and I mean let go, because I really felt like I was helpless. As we walked away I started feeling sick about it all but the mall was closing and we just needed to go eat something. When we got home I started looking at all these boxes of stuff and began to read the ingredients. I couldn't believe what I was reading. I had told her that I had vey sensitive skin and only used natural products, and she had assured me that they were so natural they didn't even ask people if they had any allergies because they could guarantee that there were no ingredients that anyone could be allergic to. She hadn't used anything in the store that had any fragrance, but as I opened the cream I smelt the fragrance. I was horrified. I have a seizure disorder that is triggered by fragrance, and I immediately stopped and put everything back in the bag. I was going to have to go back in that store. I decided to look up the company online to check it out because now I knew I had been mislead and even lied to. I went to the website and saw the words "no refunds". I thought I was going to be sick to my stomach. Then I started looking up complaints and I found many, all with the very same story, almost to a T. I looked at my receipts but there wasn't anything that said no refunds. After all I've read, I'm pretty sure that when I take the things back they will tell me then. I guess they didn't want to say anything because I still owed them 1000.00, and the red flags might have destroyed their scam. I am lucky that I live in Ontario because we do have consumer protection. I have notified my credit card co. and I am well prepared to return my purchases. I have heard they don't take returns because the product could have been contaminated but as they are all sold unsealed, I have the same concern myself. I will be taping the whole thing and informing them of all the consumer protection laws they have broken. They have scammed the wrong person. 3 days have passed and I still don't have any instructions, they gave me products I didn't ask for, they mislead me into believing that their products were FDA approved (not in Canada), that the products were natural and safe for anyone, that they were free of any chemicals but they aren't, they pressured me into buying products when I clearly stated that I couldn't afford it…I learned from this experience and they're about to learn a few things themselves. I will sue them if I have to. I will be reporting them to the mall owner, writing the newspaper, calling the TV station, and the Police if it's necessary. I hope people keep sharing their stories and we can all see them put out of business. I have never seen a store with such unethical practices.

Unethical practices

:( I am 20 years old and got approached by the lady in broward mall in florida, i work as a nanny and she gave me 2 peeling masks, 2 day moisturizer creams, 2 body salts and 2 body creams, The total shouldve been like $600 but she gave it to me for $300, i kept telling her i couldnt afford it and she eventually told me its ok i can pay half now nd the other half next week so i agreed i checked my account now and the full amount has been debited off of my account :( she said if it hasnt worked in 2 weeks i can take it all back and get a refund.. now im doubting i can do that considering all the stories... i wish i could just say no but she had made me feel guilty cant belive this could actually happen to me...

Unethical practices

I experienced the same thing in the South Bay Mall in Redondo Beach, I was completely caught off guard as I was walking in the front of the store.A gentleman offered me a a sample of the eye cream and within 10 minutes I was writing a check out for product. After I left the store I felt like such an idiot, I immediately thought of The Dead Sea Products and it was the same type of scam where the price is so incredibly high but yet after you tell them you will think about it the price gets lower and lower. The Products are not that great and I believe this to be a TOTAL SCAM... BUYER BEWARE.

Unethical practices

I, too was walking past the Oro Gold in Copley Place Mall yesterday (March 13, 2012) with my sister. A young woman offered us each a free sample of moisturizer. She then wanted us to come in so she could show us something. She then had both of us sit side by side and put some gel and eye cream under my right eye and the same under my sister's left eye. She oohed and aahed about what a change it had made in 30 seconds. She then had us turn towards each other so we could see each other. Yes, it did look more moisturized. She had just put cream on our skin. My skin started feeling irritated. She gave me a mirror and I looked and saw my skin starting to turn red. She said she could see no redness and then had a young man come over to assure me that there was no redness. I reached over and took a cotton swab and rubbed the lotion off. Needless to say we did not buy the snake oil.

Unethical practices

I had the same exact experience at the Oro Gold in Copley Mall in Boston. What they are doing with the their pretend pricing, pretend discounts and hidden "no refund" policy is in violation of MA consumer protection law. I filed an online complaint with the consumer protection office using the link below. If enough of us do the same, they will investigate. Good luck!
