My spouse and I had to have our winter tires changed to All season tires changed. We were told on the phone 1:30pm April 18th for tire switch over. We got to the tire center at 1:20pm still ten minutes to spare.
I walk into the back saying we have an appointment at 1:30 For a tire switch over from winter. The first guy I talk to asks for a name. I say it's under my spouse name and tell him the name. He says to me 'We have to scratch you off because you are late' I continue saying '1:30? We are here it's only twenty after one' he turns his back and says no.
So I go inside and talk to the next guy at the tire center and I explain to him we are told on the phone we have a 1:30 appointment for our tires. He is rude right away to me saying 'Your late so we scratch you off' I'm trying to explain to him we are told on the phone we have a 1:30 but he is so rude about it so I ask for the manager to see if we can do something about it. Instead of calling the manager in for me to talk he talks to the manager complaining about me. The manager is nice about the whole situation and tells him to do our tires. He then complains to the manager that they will be behind if he does that. He rolls his eyes slams the phone down and grabs a form to fill out. Hastily asks for our name and my spouse tells him our name yanks the keys from my husbands hands and he is so rude even the people behind me are looking at him shaking their head look at me like he agouldnt be treating me that way.
I say 'Wow this is bad customer service' he smirks and says something rude under his breath. So I then ask for his card with his name. He grabs a card and scribbled his name on it and pushed in into my hand. I start walking toward customer service crying because not only he was rude I was trying to hold my self up because I just found out my aunt died just at 1. Twenty minutes before I stumble upon his rude service.
By then I can't even talk to anyone I get my husband to talk to the manager I go into the washroom crying and my husband talks to the manager. They both walk to the tire center and the manager talks to 'Jay' at the tire center in the prince George walmart. He is lectured and told to apologize to us and told we are spending over five hundred dollars an we should not be treated this way. I accepted the managers apology and she assures me that Jay is going to apologize to us.
I walk around walmart to control myself from crying Then go back to the tire center to pay after 3 hours of waiting I'm standing there with my husband and not once Jay looked at us. He walked past us without a word or even looked at us. So I walked out of there and sat infront of the store waiting. My husband walks back to get our van and came around to get me. I asked if Jay apologized he said nope, not once he looked his way.
The way we were treated at the Prince George Walmart by the tire center employee Jay with the dark hair and glasses was unacceptable. I probably would have been ok about it all if had he apologized but he didn't. We always shop at walmart and spend a lot of money there. I think we should have a written apology from Jay and have him suspended from his job if not fired. I was so upset from all of the frustration we had to deal with. I will continue to complain to people about this and tell my experience until we have a written apology. We have many friends and relatives that travel from my hometown to have their tires changed buy groceries or for whatever they have to get at Walmart. I just hope I don't have to put up with any more bad customer service anymore.
