Illegal practices/harassment

I have two auto loans with Santander Consumer USA. I was in transition from one job to the other back in June 2017 and I was not currently working. During this time frame I was not working and just got hired for a job in July 2017. My one vehicle was behind in payments due to me not working. Shortly after I got hired for the job in July 2017, Santander used their repo people to track my vehicle down and repoed my vehicle with no warning. I had parked my vehicle on the side street around the corner from my house, because there was no parking spaces in the front. The towing company waited until I got in the house late that night and I went asleep, I woke up early that morning had to about 3:00 am and I kept hearing a truck backing up, but it was the towing company pulling my car up on the flat bed. Early that morning I had the gut feeling that my vehicle was being told, but I didn't go outside to actually see. That morning when I woke up to leave out the house at 7:00 am, sure enough that gut feeling I had was on point, that's what happened. When I called them that morning they told me I have to pay a certain amount to get the vehicle out. They charged me $1,450.00 plus $225.00 for just one key, ridiculous. I came up with the money within 2 weeks time and got my vehicle out before they could ever send it to the auction. My car note is $380.00 a month, It took some time, but I finally was able to get one of my cars in current status, by making partial payments every week. One less victory for Santander. Now, my other vehicle in which I'm only 13 days past due and I'm making my payments every week on this vehicle, plus staying in contact with Santander on a weekly basis to set up payment arrangement with them. But Santander is steady sending their repo people who drive around using temporary license plates to search for my vehicle, they drive in all kinds of cars and trying to disguise themselves, the act like I don't see them following me around, I'm always investigating people, when they think their investigating me. I just made a payment for my other vehicle that needed the payment the most, and the company purposely applied the payment to the wrong vehicle, when I used their western union system online, put in the account number and everything. That's when I knew the company was trying to crack slick by being vindictive, so they can try to repo my other vehicle in means of getting more money out of me. I'm only 13 days late, but your company is steady taking my payments and I'm setting up payment arrangements every week to get the other vehicle back in current status but they trying to crack slick and be sneaky about it. How I know that to be a fact because I make deliveries for my second job and when I drop off my packages to customers, I would have certain customers say: oh I thought you was driving this vehicle and oh I was looking for you to be in this vehicle. In The back of my mind Im thinking why does it matter what vehicle I'm driving, and I realized it's Santander using people they hire to locate my other vehicle in means to purposely get more money out of in a way to repossess that vehicle. The company Santander is just mad because I've been making numerous complaints against them and there way of getting back at me is to purposely repossess my other vehicle. I've had it up to here with this company and the rude, sarcastic employees they have working for them.

Illegal Practices and Consumer Harrassment

I agree this company is a big rip off. I financed my car for 6 years with another company and then santander took over the loan. Now I look at my balance it's barely dropped. I have had a few deferrments done over the 6 year period for a total of 6. So now Im thinking all I have to do is pay 6 months extra of payments or 7 at the most. How about this company tells me I will still have to pay off 3, 000 plus dollars in interest charged. I was pissed and told them that was not correct. There is no way Im paying 354.00 on this car for another 12 months or so. The car has almost 200, 000 miles on it. They are the biggest crooks ever. I have had other car loans in the past and have deffered a payment or two and have paid it off as I should. I hope they get what they deserve
