Don't Buy Appliances From SEARS

Our Kenmore Elite washing machine is rusting just like those purchased by other SEARS consumers.  We have read that it is being caused by bleach.  The fact is, it is being caused by cheaply made machines.  We have had appliances for the past 50 years and never had rusting problems until we started purchasing appliances, like washing machines and dishwashers, from SEARS.  We will never buy a SEARS product again.  Consumers need to STOP PURCHASING these knowingly poorly made products to force manufacturers, like SEARS, to provide ones of higher quality.  Period.

Elite Washer Rust

I first saw the rust around the bleach dispenser. I've watched it spread and spread. Sear will do nothing about it. This is for sure a product defect and Sears should repair or replace. I visited the Sears community and see so many other posts about the same problem. It is so frustrating. I can't afford to buy another washer and Sear will not take responsibility to fix their problem. I know they don't care, but I will never visit their stores or purchase anything from Sears again.

Questionable charges

Scheduled service call with Sears for non-working dish washer. Informed that fees were $50 for service call and additional fees for repair. As it turned out, the electric "light switch" was in the "off" position, and did not need repair. We were billed over $150 for service call that lasted less than 5 minutes. When we called to inquire we were told there were "customer instruction" fees. There were no mention of these "fees" at the time of scheduling appt. Just the service call fee and repair fee. We attempted to call and email multiple times. No one can firmly answer our question related to this incident. We have been told by different phone reps that these charges don't sound appropriate, however, the situation remains unresolved. Just one continuous loop of passing us around. I imagine this tactic is common practice by Sears, so that customers would become exhausted and give up.
