Bought 30g pack of Stirling Stirling tobacco from local shop to find a piece of wire strand about 2 inches long

I brought sterling king size cigarettes from Asda online.

The packets they sent me are advertised as king size.
Yet they are the normal size,not king size.

I I included the photo for you to see your self.

Every other time I brought king size admittedly they have haven’t been brought on line say king size on them and are bigger.

What’s going on has sterling changed so these can now be called king size even though they are the same size as the old normal size ?

Or are Asda legally getting around it or false advertising.

What’s happened to king Size cigarettes? I brought a packets from Asda on their site it clearly says king size yet they are normal sized.
They say that’s the smallest size they sell stating they are king size yet they are clearly not king size where bigger.

I’ve looked at various stores online claiming there king size haven’t brought any yet However they all don’t have king size on the packet nor do they look like they are.

How are these companies getting around selling normal sterling blue as king size have sterling changed and no longer sell the old normal size and calling the new packets king size... what’s going on here are the Asda false advertising or what ?

I have been smoking sterling for years and to get two undamaged packs with two different issues in them is concerning, one pack looked liked it had been chewed the other pack had 2 cigarettes in that were only filter tip, that made me cough that much I had to see the doctor. Iv smoked these cigarettes for over 2 years id say. They have been my favorite and i have smoked for over 14 years. However i purchased 40 (two 20 packs) yesterday and they taste completely different! Hardy any minty freshness at all. Is there a reason for this? The pack has changed but i was aware this was going to happen but i wasnt expecting a change in taste.

Hey there guys, I know this isn't related to the cigarettes but I felt I needed to say this.

I've been trawling through your complaints and seen masses of you have had the same problem as I have, but worse still, many of you have posted your personal information on these forums. Even something like your name and postcode is enough for somebody that knows a little bit about computers to steal your identity, or to track where you are when offline.

Now, I'm not trying to offer a horror story here, as that would make this post rather redundant. My point is that when posting online use a Nom de Plume, or a nickname, such as I have (CrackaJak92) and make every effort not to share private information about yourself, and if you are going to use your bank details online, consider buying access to a VPN (Virtual Private Network) as this encrypts all information sent when using the internet making it extremely difficult for anybody to get a hold of your information (unless you are posting to a forum or a blog etc.). I hope you all find this post helpful!

I purchased 20 Sterling Dual Cigarettes from a local shop in Normanton, Derby, England. I always smoke Sterling Menthol Superkings. Have done for many, many years. This shop was in my daughters area (i was visiting her). The shop had only Sterling Dual which I purchased for £6.99 for 20? I think it was 20. They were not Superkings. Anyhow upon returning home I smoked several of these cigarettes & think they are fake. They taste disgusting...Could you tell me if they are fake please? I'm an OAP sp not PC literate.All I know is that, after many years of smoking Sterling Menthol Superkings, these were nasty! this is the Bar Code Number on the side of the packet 5 000143 227260. I just bought sterling dual out of a local shop and Im not pleased at all there was 17 cigarettes in the packet when I opened them I thought I was smoking alot more than I usually do it was clear to see when I opened them there was not 20 in the packet! I will never be buying them again its ridiculous and as I can see on other complaints im not the only one this has happened to!!

Baring in mind cigeretts cost an extortianate amout as it is but whe. You open the pack to find not just one missing but three is just absolutely rediculas ! Very unhappy wont be smokeing sterling anymore !

Sterling Superkings have gone up around 40% in price over the past 2 years 2013-2015 and only 17 cig's in each pack.. What a scam.
Should it not be fair to say!! Less Ciggies = less price? in each carton or pack etc? That's to be fair AGREED?

So it's about time STERLING COMPANY did something about it - either put 20 ciggies back in for a slower cost (due to scamming us all) or drop the price conciderably for only 17 in pack.SIMPLE ENNIT!!! even a monkey could understand that.

I'm so dissapointed that buying my cigarettes that are dear enough without there been so few in them that's twice I've bought them and there has only been 16 in them it's really dissapointing

I've had loads of packets of sterling blue and there have been 16 17 18 in packets there. Still a great. Smoke an still cheap as chips put it this way its a few cigarettes your smoking. Less so. What's all. The fuss about get a life all. yous complainers

I am disgusted that there are 18 cigarettes in Sterling packets instead of 20 and nowhere does it point this out to alert customers before they buy them. Surely this should be stated on the packet. Consumers think they are getting a good price but this is not true. To me this constitutes fraud and I want something done about it. If consumers realise they will change to another brand. As if we're not paying enough already! Suppose smokers don't count any more!!!

Sterling have reduced the number of cigarettes in their packets from 20 to 19 or even 18. Now I find - in small-print - on the side of the pack how many are actually in it. A rip-off a con a disgrace - more tax to the government. And if trading standards are aware of this - which no doubt they are - even more money into the government coffers. Yes smokers cost the NHS millions of pounds a year - but the tax earned outweighs this by far. How long before drugs are made legal - it is after all an addiction illness - n the government profits from the tax - and the same applies to alcohol - social drinkers are paying a fortune to balance the costs of treatment (with profit) for those addicted. And the best of luck to any-one who can find the complaints department for Sterling Cigarettes.

I have just opened my third box of Sterling Menthol cigarettes and there are only 19 in each packet This is getting ridiculous now, please do something.

I'm buying sterling cigarettes and noticed there was always one missing now iv noticed it says 19 on the side of the packet but yet still get charged for the normal 20 plus I haven't seen anything to say that these would be reduced I'm really annoyed angry and feel feel I'm being cheated out of money getting 19 instead of the standard 20 cigarettes
