Never have I been treated so rudely by a company. Never have I had such a hard time just trying to talk to someone to get an explanation for the discrepancy in my records of payments to what they had. Was on hold 3 separate times for 20 mins then connection starts going bad. Call the number listed as customer service try that, on hold 10 mins then finally a human, a rude human. I am then sent back into the phone hell l was in before. I tried the chat line while on hold only to get a rude rep who doesn't want to explain to me why my records don't match up. All I get is 3 times this is your balance when I try to give my payment amounts and dates she just disconnects me and then I can't even get back on the chat line. So 35 mins of being on hold finally get to talk to some one. Come to find out rooms to go who also have horrible customer service opened 2 accts one with my small balance from my furniture and a rug I said I would pay cash for along with the cash I was paying on my furniture. Totally unacceptable on both parts. I just paid it off to get rid of this terrible company. Stay clear they seem to be the back ground finance company to a lot of businesses and you don't know it.

Opened account through Home Depot had account less than 2 weeks and started receiving daily phone calls from them. Borderline harassment. I received my statement and on a $400 bill they want $75 a month payment! Every time I tried to return their calls I was on hold for over 40 minutes! I would finally hang up as I couldn't hold any longer. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY! My payment was not even due yet and they were stalking me! Plan to pay off in full ASAP. Horrible business practices.

I have been with Tidewater for almost a year. I have never met anyone in a car company who refuses money and then tries to tack on fictions about late fees etc. They will harass everyone you know and I can't even get my account manager on the phone to work any deal!! I have tried to no avail on 5/14 5/16 5/20 6/1 6/2 and at least w0 more times and the team UNDER THE ACCOUNT MANAGER TELLS ME UNLESS I PAY THE FULL LOAN AMOUNT ENTIRELY THEY WILL NOT TAKE PAYMENTS?? WHAT

DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK. THEY NEED TO HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR POOR BUSINESS PRACTICES, HARASSMENT TACTICS, AND THEIR LIES

I filed bankruptcy and tidewater sent me information to get a car loan. The lady that answers the phone was very rude and then told me they were having technical difficulties and they would call me back. However they ran my credit and never contacted me again. As you know those credit checks give you a hard hit on your credit report. They did it twice. Never heard from them again. Rotten!!!

This company is so shady. I used to work for them. They make us charge an $10.00 transaction fee to take a payment over the phone and tell us to tell customers that its due to us using a 3rd party payment processing system, when in reality they use the transaction fees to pay there employees bonuses. They also are aware that the automated phone payment system doesnt work so you have no choice but to pay over the phone. Tidewater finance targets consumers with sub prime credit and takes advantage of them and will call you everyday until you make a payment. While i worked there i witnessed many fdcpa violations. They will call during hrs that are not allowed as well as threatening to sue or repossess when there are no intentions to do so. Companies like tidewater finance should be shut down and the owners should be arrested

I can't set-up anything the way I was told to. How in the hell do they expect me to pay? I hope these problems on here aren't true.

GOVERNMENT SHOULD BE INVOLVED IN THIS COMPANY AND OTHERS LIKE IT. UNITED WE STAND? THESE CRIMINALS SHOULD BE PUNISHED FOR POOR BUSINESS SKILLS AND TAKING ADVANTAGE OF OTHERS. THEY DO HIT YOUR ACCT AT 6 AM BEFORE DIRECT DEPOSITS IN ACCOUNT THEN CHARGE LATE FEE. AND AGREE WITH OTHERS AS AFTER ACCT CLOSED THEY DONT PAY REFUND FOR 45 DAYS!! PLEASE GOVT GET INVOLVED AND HELP THE AVERAGE TAXPAYER BY TIGHTENING UP LAWS AGAINST THESE CON ARTISTS

Company is a ripoff. false statements and interest rates criminal. they try and get late fees and even after refinancing and title issued to new bank they sit on funds!! please do not use these clowns

I had a car loan with them for about 8 months and refinanced with Capital One which after my loan was paid off by them I have a credit for almost $300. They refuse to send my refund for 30-45 days. If you were a day past your due date during the grace period they hounded you for the payment.

After I have finish paying off Tidewater Credit Services I will NEVER, EVER do business with them again. I guess since the company is not affiliated with the Better Business Bureau they feel they can treat their customers any kind of way. I am tired of being called before the grace period has ended. I have asked that they do not call my place of employment. They have my home telephone number and cell phone number. There is no need to call my job but they continue to call. The attitudes of the customer service representatives are absolutely abusive. The company definitely need an extreme makeover. No one should be treated in that manner.
