Refund Policy

I was enrolled in school the first day and had finished one class and I was getting ready to start on the second class for the first week. I got a call from University Alliance saying that they could not get my transcript from one of the schools I listed and I was advised by my student representative that it would be best for me to withdraw before the second week of class or I would owe them $1300 if waited until the second week. So I withdrew from the classes and sent the books back as requested. I had start the class and removed the access code but did not use it because I had withdrawn from class. I got an email the next week saying that I owed them $230 for the book because the code was revealed. I called and told them of the conversation I had with my representative about why I had to withdraw. The guy said that I did not have to withdraw because I knew that I would clear up the problem with the other school. they want me to pay for a book that I sent back to them as if the book can not be used. The problem with them is that they talk about how they are going to take care of every thing and treat you fairly but that is not the case with them.

University Alliance is a SCAM

I can tell you as a former victim of this scam program stay as FAR AWAY from University Alliance (aka Villanova) as you possibly can. Over $7500 spent and after they take your money - Piss Off. I am so disappointed and disillusioned at this money grubbing for-profit program. You hear for months "customer focused, customer determines quality, customer this, customer that." Bottom line. Don't make the same mistake I did - go anywhere BUT HERE!!

SCAM

My whole ordeal started when I saw an ad by University Alliance about getting an AA degree in Business at Florida Tech. I inquired and they had me enrolled and processed at a dizzying and confusing pace. I was given a Student Representative that was very pushy and condescending. They shipped my books and I started my classes. A few days into one class I noticed they had not sent the necessary CD and book I needed to get into the class website. I contacted UA and they said they would ship them. It took them 4 days to get them to me. Well that put me further behind. I popped the CD in and it would not work in my player. I contacted them again and they said it was my player that was the problem. Now I am further behind. My company will not pay for the class if you get a bad grade so I decided to withdraw. Well that is where they made it difficult for me! I emailed my Rep several times and got no reply for instructions on how to withdraw. I asked my instructor and got no reply. I emailed Tech Support and they gave me confusing instructions. I finally emailed aonother instructor and he gave me the proper way to withdraw. I finished up my other online learning class only to find out the instructions to withdraw were at the end of that class. Now they tell me I withdrew too late and I am responsible to pay $1300 for the class. I appealed but they would not let me submit my many emails requesting assistance which proves I tried in vain before the cutoff date to withdraw.

My Rep was so rude and talked down to me that I will never use UA again. She actually tried to get me to enroll in the class again! Bottom line is be EXTRA careful in dealing with these people, they are crafty and you are guilty until proven innocent.

SCAM

I have been attending Florida Tech for over a year now. I am going for my bachelor's degree in Forensic Psychology. I have never had any problems at all. I actually just spoke with my rep today and he took over an hour with me going over what classes I have left before I graduate, my financial aid and set me up to register for next term. I suggest you talk to someone else if you are not happy with your rep. GREAT school!
