I have shopped faithfully with V for many years, more than 10. I spend appr $400/month. I am accustomed to their ways and know faithfully when to order to get that same week. Example, if I ordered late Wed I wouldn't have until the follwoing M or T. So I know as long as I order by their cut off time on Wed mornings I will always have that Friday. And if you ordered Monday am before cut off you'l have that Wednedsay. That has been as regular as clock work regardless of weather, holiday traffic, promotions, etc. Yet, my last 2 orders have taken a full week to get. My last one I ordered after cut off on Tues and didn't get until the next week on Wed. This time I ordered by cut off Wed and it hasn't even left their warehouse yet. If I was buying shoes or clothes per say this wouldn' tbe an issue. But this is food and supplements that I am out of and need. I even bought my groceries MOnday (my meat and veg) planning my meals for the week knowing my Vitacost oils and seasonings would be here in time. Now I am having to get creative and make mediocre meals out of my food. So I feel I've wasted those even since I haven't been able to make the quality I always do. I live in a area where we can't get most of these things so I rely on V. Sadly I will have to find another online source. I need these things.

Old supplements

They routine send old expired supplements. They have done this several times and refuse to make good on the product. Then make you do a dance with repeated requests of the same information. Such as lot numbers pictures etc. They are a rip off BEWARE.

Awful customer service

I have ordered from Vitacost several times, but lately, they seem to be falling apart or something. I used to get my orders by the next day if I ordered early enough the day before, but it seems to take much longer these days, ESPECIALLY if your order gets messed up and they have to send a replacement.

My last order was delivered to the wrong address. I have no clue how that could happen because the address they had on file for me is the same one I have always used and never had problems receiving it before AND the address they claimed it went to does not even exist!! On top of that, the package was leaking, but because of that the tenants at the address it was delivered to would not accept the package so it was sent back to Vitacost.

I called customer service to get it straightened out and they don't have much a "willing to help" type of attitude. They are always so unfriendly when I call. I imagine they are smelling the worst smell possible when they speak to me because that is how they sound. The representative told me the new package was going to ship out immediately and that was almost two weeks ago so I don't know what the hold up is. I understand something taking a few days, but 2 weeks is too long for something like this. With the type of products they sell, people want them in a timely manner because usually it's something they use every day.

On top of all this, there have been several times where they double authorize my bank account for the funds because they had to split the order up and ship from two different places and then I have to wait days for my funds to be released. Also, the package prior to the first one I mentioned was busted completely open by the time it reached me. It was in some box that looked like they had to grab from some pile of used boxes as if they had run out of their regular boxes and the tape job was all busted open.

Ugh. So frustrating. Like another person mentioned above, it's probably worth it to just pay a little more and know you will get great service and not have to deal with the anguish of having to deal with them. This is just another lesson learned in you get what you pay for.

Vitacost has gone the Ebay route. No email. I stopped selling and buying on ebay. Now I will no longer buy from Vitacost. Their chat is stupid, stupid and their redundant "email" forms a waste of time. bye Vitacost.

Tracking "Map"/route

The tracking "map" or route line has showed the same location for the last 3-4 days since arriving at the present location which is Saulheim,Germany. It seems to have remained at the Saulheim location for the past 3-4 days. what is happening there ? is there a Strike action or industrial stoppage .......what???

Vitacost Shipping

Vitacost is claiming that if you place your order by 1pm M-F you'll get your order in 3 days (or less). What a joke. It always takes a full week to get my order from them and I'm only a 6 hour drive form their warehouse. Vitacost you suck!

prices and shipping charges

I have been a long time customer of vitacost. i never receive coupons for the products I order and there are too many companies that offer free shipping now. I have found the drugstore.com has the same vitamins cheaper plus they carry the rosacea medication I use. Any shipping is free on 25.00 or more, where vitacost is 49.00 or more. I got 2 products at drugstore.com for the price of one from vitacost. If all goes well with drugstore.com , vitacost will lose another customer.

Outdated, Damaged, Broken Seals, Horrible Customer Service Representatives and Worse Supervisors

I have been a Vitacost customer for many years, spent a lot of money purchasing from vitacost and didn’t have a problem until the past two shipments. The items in these last two shipments were thrown into boxes without any bubble wrap or form of protection. As a result the bottles and boxes bounced around in the box with no protection which is probably the part of the reason some of the items in the shipments were damaged. I received bottles of supplements that were dirty, dusty with broken seals, much of the supplements that were sent to me were old or outdated, they posted either one year and some two years dates of manufacturing which renders them old, outdated and unacceptable.
I called for replacement assuming that the person working for Vitacost would understand the problem and fix it. I was shocked that after spending over 15 minutes each on the phone with 2 customer service reps I found them to have an attitude of “I could cared less” both C.S Reps refused to replace the items or issue a return shipping label so I can ship the defective and outdated items back. All they were willing to do was to "allow me" to receive a return authorization to ship them back at my expense!
I asked to speak to a supervisor, was keep on hold for over 25 minutes just to be told that a supervision will call me back shortly.
It took Ashley( the supervisor) over 5 hours to call me back.
She was uncooperative and outright rude to say the least!!!
I asked for a replacement of the items that I was concerned about, she didn’t even make an attempt to show interest or try to find an amicable solution. Her outlandish position was that “even if the date of the merchandise was old or if the supplements had an expired date it didn’t mean that the item was bad" she claimed that "it migh only be less potent which is fine and acceptable based on vitacost policy ”.

Vitacost used to be a great company to do business with but it has been getting worse and worse as time goes by and Customer of NO service is the worst in the industry which is reflected in the numerous complaints against the company which I have found on several sites and the BBB.
