Wink Bingo

So I had enough of the spam from these guys...cant blame the advisors but totally unacceptable practice.

See the chain below (nominalised)

......

Hi X (wink bingo rep)

Thank you for your response.

My original query was as a result of not being able to use the unsubscribe functionality (re-directed webpage) as per the link within the original email; as the page systematicaly populated an incoherent email address (which was series of punctuation marks).

I see that future mails following my complaint to yourselves resulted in the unsubscribe issues having been corrected.

I find it rather worrying for an organisation that should be committed to UK responsible gaming laws; is not wanting to investigate this issue further with the orginators of the email. This does still beg the question why an ESP outside of the European union; would make the effort to send a non-wink bingo branded email (who’s gaming licence is owned by two separate gaming entities Cassava Enterprises and Broadway Gaming Ref: 39075 & 39028) to consumers within the UK only to be directed to your UK site. This makes no commercial sense and is obviously some way of getting around PECR regulations.

I see that you are actually a trading name of Cassava Enterprises (888.com) which i find remarkable; as i remember clicking through a Facebook like some time ago and asking to be removed from all mailing lists.

I have CC’d the Information commissionaires office into this response as after looking at a UK forum (http://www.complaintboard.com/wink-bingo-l6744.html); it appears this is standard operating procedure for your organisation.

On a separate note; I also notice that you ‘apologize’ and do not ‘apologise’; maybe an idea to change your language settings or is this a outsourced back-office response team?

Please accept my apologies in the context of this email as it is not personally directed as your response. But I would suggest that this is referred to your team leader; who in turn can decide whether or not this should be escalated to your marketing manager. Of which they can decide if this is an unfair case of misrepresentation or an culpable un-earthed practice.

Regards.

Hi Support,

This is the email which when clicking on the link takes me through to your site.

It is not branded as wink bingo below but the URL tracks thought to your wink bingo site (it also will not let you unsubscribe as it the ‘email’ address is locked as a suedo).

Thanks,
[y]

unsolicited email spam

I am constantly receiving spam emails form Wink Bingo/Win Wink Bingo. There is no way to unsubscribe form this site and blocking does not work as they obviously change their details with each email. Today alone I have received 35 spam mails from them mixed in with my personal mail. I have noticed as well that I am receiving spam emails from several other companies and they all have the same format. These all seem to be gambling related.
I cannot alter my email address. I have never subscribed to any company to allow for this.
Please can anyone help as contacting the company has had no response.

Unsolicited email spam

Suddenly I'm receiving emails from Wink bingo at least once, sometimes twic a day. I know not where they've got my details from, I certainly haven't solicited any services or membership from them. Main problem being that the link within the emails to enable people to unsubscribe doesn't work, neither does emailing them. Give me a break, I'm old and fed up with this crap.

Ripped off

I have been on wink for 2 yrs I have won numerous times and the only issue i had was when I won a jackpot of £8000 they would only allow me to withdraw a max of 2k per month. Wink is an excellent site compared to most and all of the issues I have read are of people stamping their feet and spitting their dummy out because they where trying to withdraw money before they had spent the first £20 and I read one complaint of someone who "unknowingly" opened a different account???? wot a load of crap, did she just happen to have a different email account aswell. Wink is a gambling website. Everyone who joined ticked a box to say they had read the small print so stop complaining about the small print not being in your favour. And as for people complaining about HAVING to reverse there funds, well guess what? you dont, but maybe you should give gamblers anonymous a little ring if you can't control the urge to reverse it.
