Continuing Billing & Rip-off

This is by far the worst and most horrible company that I have ever dealt with. They promised me a 90 day evaluation period and then when I tried to cancel within the evaluation period no one could be found. There were no links to any cancellation person or department. I tried to contact them, but would only get their sales people and would be put on hold for hours.
They have then sent me to a collection agency and harassment. These people are a major rip-off. I was not able to use their crapy webhosting and/or website builder frankly because it sucks. Don't let these people con-you into using their crappy site! You will be very sorry!

Worst & Horrible service

Worst & Horrible service. Never ever go for 1and1 for domain services, even if they give free/money for buying their domain.
I bought a domain from them 10 months ago, then I wanted to transfer it to another domain registrar and I unlocked my domain for that. They unlocked my domain from their side and told me that the domain was unlocked, so they couldn’t do the transfer!!!
Unprofessional support. Someone from support says, “It is transferred already” and some other says “you have to re-initiate the transfer again”. Seems, they don’t have enough know-how about the procedures. Sure, they are answering your support calls from some out-sourcing companies in Philippians or some Asian countries. They don’t have much privilege to do anything for you. They can maximum escalate your call to a higher level. That’s it. So, don’t expect any miracles from support team.
After 6th day, I have re-initiated the domain transfer request again. So far they didn’t do the transfer.
It’s the 8th day, I have been asking for release.
There are many cursing/experiences against 1and1 over in webpages/reviews from many users. Please give a read all those review and decide to buy anything from 1and1.

Continuing billing after canceling

I canceled this company services on January 2, 2010, both by Internet and writing a physical letter to their physical address. I have been through a lot of harassment from them ever since, including their billing my credit card, their numerous emails by their always different representatives directing to do this and that to process the cancellation- going there and here on their site, that I followed many times; my nervous letters to them and requests to cancel their services, disputing their charges with my credit card; calling my credit card, writing to them packages and packages to support my dispute. How much of my time they have taken and how much stress and disturbance they have caused!
I have been an honest taxpayer teaching adult education students working 13 years for the same place. I do not deserve this. Nobody of their customers deserve this.
Now I see from Internet many people have been experiencing the same from This company has to be stopped harassing customers by their unfair business practices.
Please help to put an end to these dishonest business protecting many customers who they mistreat now and are going to mistreat in future.
