Yup guys i am in the same boat. I got a letter from CCL ( customers Compensation Lottery) and a check for the amount of $2550 saying that i need to send them back $1500 so i can get the rest of my $22,550. The company on the check is real and it was UPM Pharmaceuticals in baltimore, md and the bank was First Tennessee Bank NA from Baltimore MD also But just like all of you the letter was sent from Canada. I have already contacted UPM Pharmaceuticals and also the First Tennessee Bank to let them know that this company is sending fraudulent checks in their name. Its darn shame that people are doing this crud when the economy is so bad and i have a 20 month old son and we are working 2 jobs and still cant make ends meet. It sucks that it is not real. the letter listed off the same places such as cvs, walmart, home depot etc like all of yours. i knew Immediately that it was BS. My next email will be to the Federal Trade Commission because what they are doing is a phishing scam and also embezzlement and grand Larson due to the monetary amount. I am glad that there are so many pages about this so that people can learn about it and become more aware. I just feel so bad for the elderly people who believe these letters and are tricked into this trap. :( breaks my heart.
