On May 27 I saw an Ad by Total on Linkedin for a job as Project Manager in the UAE and applied, receiving a confirmation from Linkedin:

On June 11 I received this email, allegedly from Total:

The attachments specified I had to pay £999.81 for the travel / logistics cost as a "proof of committment", this amount would then be reimbursed to me upon arrival. There was also the information that I had to use their nominated Travel Agency:

This Travel Agency contacted me on June 15 and asked me to pay in order to make the logistic arrangements.


I think Linkedin and Total should be more active / diligent in protecting potential job seekers from scammers which, as I discover now, are active since long time.
