Unethical Programming
Please stop the History Channel from marking old program series as new. For example, the Swamp People series provided to Charter Communications from 12/24/2016 – 2-25/2017, broadcasts fourteen (14) episodes titled as New and all were Repeats. This was 14 hours of DVR storage. Here are the dates and number of episodes of the episodes:
• 12/24/2016 – 3 episodes
• 2/11/2017 – 3 episodes
• 2/16/2017 - 1 episode
• 2/18/2017 – 3 episodes
• 2/23/2017 – 1 episode
• 2/25/2018 – 3 episodes
I have over 30 series episodes and after being away from the television for a while, it’s frustrating to see my DVR filled-up with previously aired program series marked as New rather than Repeat.
This policy to change one word in the title or add a few seconds of different video to mark the episode as New, and trick the DVR or people to watch or record repeat programming is unethical. This is not the first occurrence of this behavior, and it should stop ASAP. Because of this, we are filling up our DVRs with repeat series programming.
