I DO NOT RECCOMEND AFLAC

I got a dental policy with Aflac October 5th 2018 I was told on the phone when taking out this policy that they paid 50-60% that was a big lie it hardly covers anything couldn't even use it at my dental visit! I have been calling Aflac since Monday 10-29-18 to cancel my policy and guess what? they transfer me to the cancellation department only to be on hold for several hours each day and no one ever answers. also if you cancel a policy with in 30 days you are supposed to get a full refund, I asked a customer service rep about it before she transferred me to the cancellation department, and she told me your supposed to get a refund that's what the tell you when you sign up but you don't get a refund even if you have never used the insurance...…. bottom line NEVER GET AFLAC THEY DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS AND DO THEM WRONG I WILL NEVER RECCOMEND AFLAC TO ANYONE!!!!!

HORROR STORY BEWARE

I have been paying in for years with Aflac for Hospitalization policy. I was in the hospital in August for five days it is now 10/25/18 and I have yet to receive my claim money. I was provided a call back today advising after NUMEROUS calls that I was not an inpatient at the hospital. Per the UB form submitted to Aflac and all the other documents anyone could CLEARLY SEE I was an inpatient in the hospital admitted through the emergency room. So no telling HOW MUCH longer this process is going to take. I would advise anyone to start your own savings and forget paying Aflac. What A Joke!

Aflac

Aflac is a company who takes your money. Stay away because you will have to dig and dig and your claims will still be denied...I have had surgery and I have two slipped discs in my back. I had a CT scan and it showed the slipped disc. I also had doctor notes. This company denied my claim stating it was a sickness and not an accident. How can two slipped disc in someone back be considered a sickness? I had to undergo physical therapy. I dance and the way I turned it caused significantly pain. I went to the E.R.the next day. I will NOT get Aflac again.

Non Payment

I needed a partial hysterectomy, so I signed up for AFLAC through my employer in April 2016. I had my operation in May 2016. When I filed my claim 2 years later, Brain one of their customer service representative informed me that my claim had been denied. Brian stated because I had my surgery within the first thirty (30) days of having the policy that AFlac was not going to pay yhe claim.When I signed up for this policy no one informed me that I couldn't use the policy within that time limit. I signed up for this policy to ensure that my family and I would be taken care of while I was out of work.

AFLAC cancel my policy and stated they sent me one letter

have been with Aflac since 2002 takes money out of my account, somewhere in 2017 October they said they try to make payment it was denied they have used two different accounts they have our cell numbers and emails ... the bank record shows never denied, I called them up and may of 2018 and tell me they could not submit my payment sent me a letter, which I never received and then canceled my insurance...
My house was affected by the fires in December 2017, did not see no letter and not receive any call or email... I called them up this month of May and said my plan was cancelled, I asked them to talk to a manager the whole process they were very cold, employees and the management, I asked them why didn't they call or email me or send a certified letter they use the comment by law we only have to contact you one time... When individuals state we follow the Law, that's CODE for if it wasn't the law we wouldn't do it.. Or we don't have a fiduciary process for are customers.
As a veteran and a family man, I will see by resubmitting four renewal, if they will redeem them self, if not I will use all my last 30-40 years on this Earth to make it very clear what they did to me everyday all day on the internet. Most of all working with my government Representatives on committees to change or strength and laws dealing with the supplemental insurances.

So says this very passionate Veteran...

Denied, but why? They prefer you to be cut twice

I signed up with my employer nearly a year ago, Sarah Menefee / Tori Taylor were the agents. I was admitted to the hospital on 2/7/18 because I had to have a hernia repair surgery, and a weight loss revision surgery, in which the doctor decided it would be too painful to do two separate surgeries and would rather operate on me once. After, I was released from the hospital, and while recovering I reached out to Aflac only to find out I was NEVER enrolled in the Hospital Indemnity nor the Accident insurance, I immediately reached out to my employer, they contacted their Aflac Representative In which it took her two months to make contact back to them to get me enrolled for an effective date of 7/1/17. This was after I contacted someone named Dwain Allen with Aflac, he stated he would make sure that I would be taken care of, before the end of the day I was contacted by someone named Katherine (Katie) Sorensen who gave me a certificate number and told me I needed to fill out my claim forms and send all my documents to her email, she had a special contact she would be working with. She stated that my claim would be expedited that was on 04/3/18.
Since then Katherine has asked me to send her admission paperwork, doctors notes, all codes, discharge summary, and diagnosis.
I have complied. I called customer service to check the status of the claim on 4/6/18 they stated there was no record of any claims being processed for me, I asked if they could check all possible areas, I gave them Katherine’s name , the customer service representative told me they would be able to see a claim if it was in the system, I was instructed by the CSR to send all the information I sent to Katherine send it in to the claims email so that it can get processed.
After hanging up I immediately text Katherine and told her what happened she stated, they were working on my claim through a special team of escalations and that she is working with that team and that the general customer service can’t see the claim.
FAST FORWARD
I called customer service and was told my claim is being denied for an exclusion of weight loss surgery, I explained to the representative that I also had hernia repair so I wouldn’t have to go through another surgery, all of this is in the admission, discharge papers and doctor’s notes.

denied short term disability

Filled for short term disability recently after having ankle surgery. They say it was pre-existing condition. I was having problems with ankle year ago and had a doctor look at it. No treatment just look at it, the doctor recommended surgery. I opted out and got my ankle strong and was not rolling /injuring again. Well a year later it rolls, i go to a different doctor who recommended a less invasive and expensive surgery that was radically different from doctors assessment a year ago. Anyways i have the surgery and am immediately denied for my short term disability that i have been paying for. Im out 3 months now, with a 12 month old child and mortgage. I relied on this when making my decision to repair ankle from injury and even mentioned situation to my agent what was happening and was told Im fine and covered! Fortunately my brother is an attorney who has a lot of experience with insurance companies and am now getting him involved. When i try to get details when i call the 800 number for AFLAC i get very rude responses that are quick and confusing on how to rebuttal. Its as if they are deterring me from rebuttal. I cant believe a company that i thought was reputable was going to play games like this. I now have created a trickle down at our office of fellow employees canceling there policies with AFLAC and going to Family Heritage where it seems there are no games. We have spread the word to our sub-contractors and vendors as well and they are flooding our Family Heritage rep now with requests for info and meeting with employes. Hopefully my rebuttal changes there stance an they do the right thing.

Do not trust this Tammy Combs ! I told her many times " I must talk to my wife before I spend any money" she charged my bank account today. She can not be trusted and is unethical. I have been a customer of Aflac for many years and have never dealt with this kind of garbage.

Reinstatement

I canceled my policy July 2017, which I was told I could reinstate at any time. We are military and we're PCSing, so I wasn't going to have a job for a couple months, and I would reinstate as soon as I could. I called today to get my policy reinstated, which I told I could not because I am pregnant. I was already pregnant before I cancelled the policy, which I wasn't aware of. Now they are telling me I am denied, maternity leave would not be covered, because this would be considered "pre existing" even though I conceived while having an active policy, before I "cancelled"

Denied accident claim

Denied again

I had an injury to my shoulder and had to have it repaired, filed a claim like I was supposed to and got denied four times. They had all the doctors notes and operation notes but they say I worded my claim wrong so I was denied. I would not recommend Aflac to anyone. They only out for themselves.

Termination of policy

I have been with Aflac since 2009. I mailed my payment while I was on vacation in Portland, Oregon. When I returned home, I had a past due bill in the mail. I called customer service to let them know that the payment had been mailed at least two weeks prior. However, I received a recording stating that customer service wasn't available due to a company meeting or training. They cancelled my Short Term Disability policy and so I faxed a reinstatement form. I received a letter stating that I was denied because of my history of breast cancer. I feel that this is discrimination and that they should realize that sometimes the USPS sometimes gets mail lost. I should have received an email or phone call instead of just something by mail. I want to appeal the decision by the underwriter for Aflac. Thank you.

aflac delial of claims poor customer service

Aflac denied claims for accidental injury care stating a fall is not an accident. Other claims I have submitted with proper billing get stalled stating I need to provide the billing from the doctors office. Even after providing all documentation I was told the adjuster would have to personally talk with the doctor who provided the care. When I call and send e-mail inuiry, I do not get return calls from Supervisors who state when they will return calls and no responses from the e-mails. Claims take a month or longer to pay, if they pay at all. I also have a preventative care payment one time per year, when I submitted a claim for a dental cleaning I got no response and no payment.

Benefits not Paid

2 things here. In January, 2013 I signed up with Aflac through my employer. 1st I was denied the disability plan I wanted because I have an implanted nerve stimulator. My claim adjustor said that although I did not qualify for that one I automatically qualified for the lower plan and she would set it up with my ok. I gave her my ok at that time. Come January I became short term disabled. When I called my adjustor she informed me I had NO disability insurance. I questioned this and he said she it never got written up or taken out of my check. he said she would add it at that time. Still to this day, ALL of my deducted amounts from my checks are identical. So did she not ever add disability or has it been deducted all this time? The 2nd thing Is in regards to physical therapy. I contacted the adjustor prior to chiropractor/physical therapy appts and verified the rules in order to get proper payments. I should've gotten paid for 13 visits. What happened was I got paid 50% for 1 visit with no explanantion

Taking long time to process

I turned in a claim on March 25,2014. I called to see why we haven't received a check by now on April 7, 2014. We were told it hasn't been process yet. I am writing this on April 9, 2014. The lady who is suppose to check why it hasn't been processed yet and the claims dept. shut off their phones before 5:30. The lady said they are not to shut their phones off before that time. We have bills that need to be paid and now they are going to be late. We are also refinancing the house and now are bills are being late. On the tv commercials says it will be only 4 days to be processed, well it has been ALOT LONGER THAN THAT 4 DAYS. NOT HAPPY WITH YOU SEVICE. WOULD NOT RECOMMEN THIS CO. TO ANYBODY.

AFLAC Blows! Save your money for real Insurance

About nine months ago during open registration at my place of employment AFLAC put on their Dog and Pony show about what great supplemental health insurance they were and how they would help pay your bills, etc. What AFLC doesn't bother to tell you is that they make filing a claim that they will accept as difficult as possible. They have already denied a perfectly legitimate claim from me. I was looking into filing a claim for my wife, who was recently injured at work, when I discovered that AFLAC expects you to provide their claim form to the physical while you are being treated for the accident. So while you are in the middle of an emergency you are expected to stop, logon to the AFLAC website, sign in, download and print the claim form. Perhaps AFLAC thinks you should download and a keep a copy of their accident claim form on your person at all times in the event that you might have an accident sometime in the future. Most of us don't have time to make an appointment with an attending physician after an accident to have them fill out an accident claim form, and most physicians are too busy treating the patient to take time to fill out AFLAC's accident claim form. Is this a criminal action? Sadly no, but it goes beyond unethical. I understand that AFLAC is in business to make a profit, and I am sure they do quite well by making it as difficult as possible for it's customers to file a claim. They might want to add the requirement that the accident form be signed with the blood of a virgin, during the dark of the moon. The board of directors should be all over that idea. Anything to sweeten the bottom line and up those bonus dollars.
