Indonesian Maid Passport Renewal

On 26 Jan 2016, I paid this Agency RM512.00 to renew my Indonesian maid's passport because I wanted to avoid the hassle of queuing long hours and going through all the red tape at the Indonesian Embassy. The staff I was dealing with was Apple. I told her that it was quite urgent because the work permit was expiring on 12 Mar 2016. Apple told me the runner only goes to the Embassy on Weds and Fridays, and it could not be done that week, so she said it would have to be on the following week (1st Feb - 5th Feb), the last working week before they closed for CNY.

The following week, before Wed and before Friday, I called Apple to find out when the runner was going to take the maid to the Embassy. She said the runner had finally gotten a number for the maid from the Embassy, and that they are just waiting for the Embassy's call to bring the maid to the Embassy. I asked what would happen if the Embassy called when they are closed for CNY, and she said the Embassy would give them a few days notice to come to the Embassy.

The Agency closed for 4 days from 8/2/16 - 11/2/16, and resumed work on 12/2/16. I called again on 12/2/16, and this time was told the runner would call me and let me know when he can bring the maid to the Embassy. That statement sounded strange to me, because I was under the impression they were waiting for the Embassy to call. Anyway, he didn't call, so I asked Apple again for his number which she had earlier promised to give before CNY. When I called, I was shocked when he told me he had not got any number from the Embassy, and that he would bring the maid to the Embassy on Tuesday, 16/2/16 to get the number! He said he only goes to the Embassy on Tues and Thursdays.

All this while, Apple had been making up stories and excuses. She lied about getting a number from the Embassy, lied about waiting for the Embassy to call, lied about the Embassy giving a few days notice to come to the Embassy and lied about the runner working only on Weds and Fridays.

The runner finally sent the maid to the Embassy on 16/2/16 to get the number, and sent the maid there again on 23/2/16, a date fixed by the Embassy, for a pre-approval interview. Both times, the maid informed me that the runner only sent her to the gate as the Embassy staff did not allow runners to accompany the maid. The maid ended up going into the Embassy and trying to figure everything out by herself.

On 24/2/16, I called Apple and asked for the branch manager's name and contact because I felt that I had been overcharged. Apple told me SHE is the branch manager. I complained to Apple that the Agency had overcharged me because the runner only sent her to the Embassy and sent her back. I told her I had practically paid RM512 just for the maid's transportation. I could have easily done this myself.

She said she would call the runner up, but as expected, she did not bother to call back. On the same day (24/2/16), I sent the following SMS to her;

"Apple, I am waiting for your call. I would like to request for a RM100 refund because all the runner did was sent her to the Embassy and sent her back. Please let me know your decision. Thanks."

Knowing her attitude, I had fully expected her not to respond. True enough, she did not even bother to respond. If this is the attitude of the branch manager, it speaks volumes about the quality of service you are going to get when you engage this Agency for any service.

The maid finally collected her passport on 25/2/16, exactly one month from the date of payment. It had taken this Agency one month to renew a maid's passport.

This is one nightmare Maid Agency you should avoid like a plague.

Maid Contract

In July 2015, I have made a payment of RM5000 for hiring a Philippine Maid to Agency Mitze to take care of my mum who is sick and we have been waiting for almost 3 months for the maid to arrive.

In Sept 2015, we received a call from Mei Mei and she said the maid that we chosen has refused to come and we need to choose again a new one.

We have done so and hopefully the maid can arrive soon to help us in the first week of Nov 2015.

Mei Mei promised me the maid will arrive very soon and asked me not to worry about it.

However, until today, I keep chasing after the agency and they told me that my maid would not be able to arrive so soon, may be end of the Nov. The contract is not done and they have problem with their partner in Philippine.

I was so shocked that the agency took almost 5 months just to process a maid due to so many problem and I was so disappointed and wanted to get back my deposit , but they said not refundable.

All this happen not because my fault, why it is not refundable?

They never called me to update the status and I am now keep chasing after the agency for the contract and they gave me a lot of excuse - busy , not yet done etc.

I really hope I can get a helper soonest possible and I cant wait for another few months....

If you guy are looking for maid, please consider carefully before paying the deposit...

Please look into this matter urgently. Your immediate attention, please. Thank you.

about the permit

When i sign up , they din't do the permit for me ! Now already 1 year , then they asking me to pay the renew fee. Ok then , i pay , and wait for the permit too, then 3 month gone,
i still haven receive any information for the permit. What can i do ? Please those who want to sign up for this agensi , please becarful , and you should fond another better agensi

Refund of Deposit

On the 11/04/2015 I went to the maid agency and met a Sales & Marketing Exec, Ms Mei Mei and have signed up with her for a Filipino maid on a monthly salary of RM1,200.00 per month and I was told to make a booking fee of RM5,000.00 and she issue me a receipt of RM5,000.00 with a rubber stamp chop “All payment is not refundable” and I ask her what does this mean and was told by her that if they have submitted documents to Philippine Embassy no cancellation can be done and no refund.
But on the 22/4/2015 I received an email from Ms Mei Mei and was told that she just got a circular from Philippine Embassy that the maid salary have revised to RM1,440.00 per month due to the exchange rate of USD. She also attach the circular from Philippine Embassy in her email. At the same time she also offer me to change package to Indonesia maid if I want cos at that moment they are offering promotion for Indonesia maid.
So I call her not to proceed cos I need to discuss with my brother on the new rate and she told me she won’t proceed with anything until I agree with the new rate or to change package. Later we realize that the Philippine Embassy circular was dated 19/3/2015 which mean they already knew that the maid salary is RM1,440.00 per month and I sign up with them on 11/4/2015 and was told that the maid salary was RM1,200.00 per month which mean they are not honest to me so I call Ms Mei Mei for cancellation and claim for the refund. I told her that I don’t mind she charge me some admin fee and refund me the balance. But on 27/4/2015 she reply to me and in her email that her boss and manager confirm no refund to me. I hope immigration department please check on this maid agency and help me claim back my deposit of RM5,000.00 as is quite a lot to my family. The purpose of engage a maid is to take care of my sick mother. Please check on them as soonest as possible. Thank you.
